The home has two specialist dementia units as well as a nursing unit. All beds have en-suite facilities and are decorated to a high standard. The simple design and layout of the building provides wide corridors with good lighting. Lounges, dining rooms and quiet rooms are located around the home, with communal rooms on each floor, close to the bedrooms, so residents can choose how and to spend their day.
In addition to this, the home has a hair salon where you can enjoy being pampered and a cinema area should you want to watch a film. Wi-Fi is available throughout the building enabling contact with families and friends from afar to be maintained.
The resident chef prepares tasty home-cooked meals each day which are served in the three dining areas. Each meal is designed to suit individual food preferences and cultures and uses fresh ingredients.
The aim is to create a homely atmosphere and quality care services where people are treated with respect and dignity. A home from home where the resident and their families can relax, secure in the knowledge that their loved ones are safe.

We would like a morning cup of tea between 6am - 8am every morning please. lately tea has been served @ 11am. The meals have gone down hill, they are not proper meals. eg. chicken wings, burgers. Spanish chicken etc. Larger Fish & chips portions would be nice. Having 4 chips is not sufficient.

Our mother first came to Sherrell House for a respite period following an injury. She received such wonderful care and attention, that the term was extended to a trial period. She continued to thrive and eventually we realised that this should become a permanent place of residence for her. The care she received was excellent and her accommodation and communal facilities were outstanding. Two years on and our opinion is still the same. Whilst mum's illness has progressed, her care has increased and she still manages to take part in the activities, aided. All the staff are truly wonderful and caring and do the best they can for all their residents. It really is a wonderful home and we know we are very lucky to have found it. Thank you!!!
