View Full Details of SilverspringsMy sister is very happy and settled at Silversprings. The staff are very caring and well trained. She enjoys and takes part in all the activities. The entertainment that is booked to come into the home on a regular basis is well varied and the residents are well entertained. It is so lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and taking part. My sister has made many friends. It is very important for myself and our family to know that she is well cared for and looked after. Residents families and friends are always made welcome.
My Mother became a resident here at Silversprings in May this year. She was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia eight years ago and it was becoming too much for us to look after her at home. It took her about a month and a half to fully settle in. Now that she is, she is happy and relaxed and has made friends. She enjoys the routines, entertainment and food and feels safe. The staff are very supportive, caring and kindly professional. I am so pleased to see her relaxed, happy and taken care off.
Although my contact has so far only been as a visitor attending their monthly Dementia Cafe, I have always found Silversprings to be friendly and welcoming. The residents appear to be happy and extremely well cared for. There always seems to be numerous activities and interests for the residents including trips out, celebrations and "special occasion" days and events. The staff I have met are extremely nice friendly people who genuinely care and offer compassion and respect.
We moved my mum to Silversprings just over a week ago after five months in another local home, and the difference has been amazing. Previously bedbound, she is now sitting up for meals, using the bathroom, and has already enjoyed a shower. The staff are warm, enthusiastic, and encouraging, and there's a real sense of activity and energy in the home. We are so pleased we made the move - Silversprings has already made a huge positive impact on Mum's quality of life. Keep up the good work :-)
Mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia approx 5 years ago and living at home with carers coming in four times daily. After a fall at home and being admitted into hospital with broken shoulder, myself and siblings decided it was no longer an option to remain at home. Mum moved into Silversprings December 2024. Apart from the amount of pressure and anxiety taken from family, mum now has a life, engaging all day with others, activities to keep her occupied. Mum is well looked after, nutritional needs taken care of and living her best life. The care and kindness at Silversprings is second to none.
Mum continues to receive wonderful care here, looked after by hardworking, emphatic, kind and compassionate staff or our Silversprings family as we like to call them. The home itself is always clean, tidy, safe and welcoming and mum particularly likes the gardens when the weather allows. Dad still praises the restaurant level food and really appreciates being able to dine with mum on a daily basis. Mum enjoys the entertainment on offer and loves the four legged friends and young children who visit on a regular basis. We feel very lucky that mum is able to call Silversprings home.
I went to visit Silversprings with the possibility of my Mum moving there to be closer to me. From the moment I walked in and was met by customer relations advisor I knew Mum would hugely benefit from living there. Staff were exceptionally friendly & professional and the home felt it had " soul". Mum was lucky enough to move in 4 weeks later and has not looked back! She has settled in really well and has enjoyed making new friends. All aspects of her care has been excellent. The manager and all staff including maintenance team are always available and approachable for any questions/ queries. I would not hesitate to recommend Silversprings, they have truly gone above and beyond to ensure Mum feels " at home" .
My husband is having a very difficult time due to health problems and the care and support we have had from all the staff has been wonderful without this I do not know what I would have done. Caring for my husband cannot be easy and I want to thank them for everything. They always have time for me too which has been wonderful. Thank you.
As a daughter of a mother with alzheimers and vascular dementia, trying to manage her care at home was becoming unmanageable and making me extremely ill myself. Since Mum's admission to Silversprings in December 2024, life has been SO much better for both of us: unrecognisable from the life we both had prior. She is exceptionally well cared for, treated with respect, dignity, humour and love. I have not seen her so happy and well-kept for many years. She is no longer lonely and is busy all the time, enjoying taking part in the wide range of activities offered daily, from baking to Bingo, from coach trips to carpet bowls. She is eating very well and infact believes Silversprings to be a restaurant where her and her new friend eat several times a week as "you won't get better food and service anywhere else!" I've been told many of the diners are regulars for the same reason! Admitting Mum to Silversprings was 100% the right decision. Our only regret is not having made the move sooner!
Mum's dementia has worsened, necessitating her move into full-time care during the winter. Our initial visit to Silversprings during a dementia café was positive, with engaging entertainment and welcoming staff. Although adapting has been challenging for Mum, the staff's patient and empathetic care has vastly improved her quality of life. Despite living far away, we are confident she receives excellent care and is in a safe and supportive environment. We express our gratitude to the Silversprings team for their dedication.
Mum is happy, calm, well cared for and most of all safe at Silversprings. My sister and I continue to be thankful for the care and attention shown by all staff at the home. All staff, whatever their role know all the residents and treat them with respect and dignity.
I am so glad my aunt is now a resident here as this is such a lovely place. Inside and out it like a hotel and having met several of the staff I no longer worry about my aunts safety and medical needs. Each time I have visited there have been activities to keep the residents occupied, and I know they are also taken out by minibus to local attractions, such as garden centres. The food is lovely and the dementia cafe, held within the home, each month is an opportunity for carers to meet support eachother.
Beautiful house and grounds well maintained and friendly welcome from staff.
I moved my Mum to Silversprings for a two week respite after she come home from hospital after a fall. In these two weeks mum has become her old self again, they have helped her so much, she is in a routine that is helping with her dementia. She is eating so well and loving the daily comings and goings which give her so much to chat about . We have decided that in her best interest she is now a resident. We visit any time we like and it's such a lovely friendly home. Thank you.
All the staff from management down are so caring, professional and friendly. The care my husband is receiving in his final few months is excellent.
The staff looking after our mum was so very caring and can't thank them enough for their loving attention during Mum's stay. The food was always constantly at a good tasty level. Mum enjoyed the live entertainment when it was on. Thank you.
All the staff at Silversprings are fantastic. Our Mum has settled in well and we are happy that she is well looked after and safe. We feel welcome as a family when we visit and everyone is friendly. I would recommend this lovely home to other families.
I moved Mum to Silver Springs following two weeks of respite at another local home. In these two weeks, Mum had become a shell of her former self with no outside stimulation to help manage her dementia. After only three weeks here I can't help but feel so happy to see Mum content, eating well, and being social and the change was like day and night. The staff from management down are resident focused and as a guest I'm always made to feel welcome, it's like visiting Mum at home!
My ex-husband has only been at Silversprings Care Home for about 3 weeks. They have made him feel so welcome and included and he feels really safe. It was his birthday this weekend and at very short notice the staff sorted out a room to host a large gathering, they even decorated the room with balloons and made a huge birthday cake for him. All of the staff went above and beyond to make his day so special....even a personalised card. Myself and my daughter can't thank them enough for everything they have done for us in such a short space of time. Thank you Silversprings Care Home.
My sister-in-law was welcomed to Silversprings earlier this year. She has always been treated with respect and as an individual. It gives me peace of mind to know she has this care all day, every day. My thanks to the management and committed staff.
