View Full Details of Lydgate LodgeVisited my grandma this morning and the entertainment was fabulous! Zoe was so gentle kind and caring with the karaoke and dancing with the residents. Everyone was singing along and was really friendly. Keep it up!
Mum initially went to Lydgate for 2 weeks respite in June. Due to her ongoing safety needs we decided to make her stay permanent. This was a very emotional decision for me to make, but the managers and staff supported me enormously through the process. They are always warm, friendly and genuinely care for residents and their families. I really appreciate their open door policy and always feel welcomed by all staff members whatever their role. They are quick to respond to any questions/queries and keep me informed regarding all aspects of mums needs. Mum has settled so well and is much calmer, less lonely, at ease, happier and above all, safe in their care. I am absolutely sure that I made the right decision for mum, and me. I feel confident she is in safe hands and trust Lydgate 100% with my dear, precious mum. Thank you to you all from the bottom of my heart. You've allowed me to be a daughter again instead of her carer. X
Clean and friendly home from home. Ideal respite care following surgery. Staff and management couldn't be more helpful.
Third week of respite - the staff are marvelous always cheerful the room is kept clean and tidy all times. Towels changed regularly - I would say it has been an experience and one I was not looking forward to. However after my operation I had no alternative. It has pleasantly surprised, staff great, management. No complaints what so ever. The food is good home cooking and a nice variety over the weeks.
My wife has been in Lydgate for a short period of time, but every time I come to visit, the home is in a very friendly, and cleanliness condition, I know my wife is being cared for by every member of staff, I am sure every person enjoys working and staying there, it is a home you should be proud of.
My mum has had a two month respite period here and from the outset the support and care has been excellent. The regional admission manager came to assess my mum within hours of our request and the day after Mum was able to move in. The management and staff have been very caring and supportive, the room was nice and clean and the food and drink provided was of a high quality. The home manager is very friendly and approachable and the whole front of house team are just lovely. The activities lady is very enthusiastic and keen for the residents to join in . Overall we have been very impressed by the kindness, care and support my mum has received here.
Thank you so much for the love and care shown to my friend during the 2 years she had with you at Lydgate Lodge. The care she received and kindness shown was excellent. The celebration of her life after her funeral which was held ay Lydgate Lodge was lovely and a very fitting end to her stay here. The staff have been fantastic in difficult circumstances and a credit to the home. I will miss my visits. Thank you again.
Thank you so much for your care, patience & guidance through my friends final weeks. Your continued support helped prepare us through this difficult time. We were able to say our goodbyes. peacefully and at the right time, and we appreciate the hours you spend with us + her during her final days. We are so pleased you got to see the side of our friend we all loved so much. She really was a special lady. We will always be grateful for what you all did for her.
The staff put on a fantastic Wild West afternoon for residents, relatives and friends. It included a bouncy castle, street food, entertainer singing country and western songs . The home was fully trimmed up and staff came in on their day off to help out and enjoy the great fun with the residents. Children from a local infant school and day nursery were also invited (a nice touch) they also had a great time and the residents loved having them.
Very good overall I would happy here in thus care home. Thank you.
Love to come see grandma, lovely staff, settled in quickly and efficiently, varied activities.
I am very pleased with the clean and efficient way this home is being run and the kindness and care shown to the residents. They have shown a lot of patience and understanding to my husband in the last few weeks in which he has been a resident in this home.
My aunt was transferred up to the dementia unit earlier in the year. This was done with care and attention to her needs. Visits to her since then have found her relaxed, happy and totally settled in the unit. The staff treat her with care and consideration. In fact all the staff at Lydgate Lodge are first class.
All staff I have met have been really pleasant, understanding and empathic. Distribution of medication and help with mobility is very efficient. Also care in relation to food preferences and allergies. Activities in the afternoon are enjoyable.
A warm and welcoming experience. My wife is well cared for.
Placing a loved one in a care home is a difficult decision. After 6 months, Mum has settled in well. Mum enjoys her privacy and the comfort of her room, which is comfortable and pleasant. There are lots of different activities on offer, we are encouraging Mum to join in more. Mum enjoys the food and our afternoon teas have been fabulous. My biggest compliment to the home must be that they listen. Problems do arise, and I have found that I am listened to. However, more importantly, action is taken.
We visited our relative today who has recently moved into Lydgate lodge. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the accommodation was. The room was very clean, comfortable and modern. The staff we saw were friendly and helpful and obviously cared about the residents. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and we joined the cheese and wine event in the garden. It was wonderful to see the residents enjoying their day. Thank you.
Staff all very caring. Mum enjoys all outings and entertainment. Feel mum is in a safe and secure environment. We can voice any concerns knowing they will be dealt with ASAP
Staff are always friendly and care for the residents as if they are family. The care home has a 'family' feel with all the residents generally being happy. My mum has never looked as happy or as well for a long time.
Mum is going through a confusing time at the moment but the staff remain patient with her, despite some difficult situations. Overall, the care is great and the individual requirements of my mum are well catered for.
