Every time I visit the home with my dad, everyone is really friendly. There always seems to be plenty of activities and entertainment to keep my mum occupied, and I love seeing the photos on social media. The Valentine's Day meal was a lovely event for my mum and dad; both had a great time. It's
great to see how much the staff care for the residents and make sure they have everything they need. It was a difficult decision deciding to put my mum in a home, but it was definitely the best one and the nicest home.

Staff - all are very supportive of residents and use their names when speaking to them. Recent decorations done to general areas is of a high standard, but some bedrooms need updating. Sometimes it takes a while for problems to be solved. On the whole, the home has a good atmosphere from entering to
leaving. Garden is a pleasure to sit in when the weather permits.

Mum came into Horse Fair 2 years ago in Feb 2024 and settled in quite quickly. She is sociable, so made some friends quite soon. She always says everyone is so kind and caring, and helpful. She loved the food and has regained the 2st she lost prior to coming into care. Our family are very happy that
mum has accepted that she needs support, and we feel she is safe and happy at Horse Fair. She joins in the entertainment and loves Sunday Hymns. She's happy.

I've just visited my uncle who has been in this care home for a couple of years now. I visit at different times and days and have found all the staff that you bump into to be caring and happy. Most of the residents enjoy entertainment from staff and outside agencies. The home is clean and tidy and
is currently enjoying a "makeover" with new carpets and decor. The managers Julie and Kirsty are very approachable, as are the rest of the admin staff. Xmas decorations are going up now and residents are looking forward to parties. In the summer staff take dementia residents down the gardens for a potter around. I know my uncle loves this.

Mum had been at Horsefair for over three years. After a change in management the ethos in the home changed, sadly not for the better. Ultimately I have moved Mum, which was a very hard decision as she is 95 with severe dementia. However, in order to protect her dignity and to ensure
compassionate treatment, I felt I had no choice.

This was a very painful experience for us to put Mum into a care home. With Mum suffering from dementia, she couldn't understand why this was happening to her which made this a very traumatic time for us all. The staff were so helpful, supportive and professional throughout the whole process and so
caring and understanding to all of our requests. We cannot thank the staff enough. Such a wonderful support. Many thanks to all.
10 September 2024
Needed more hands-on care. Had a rash and don't know how often it was treated. Needed help with getting dressed i.e. the right things to put on. The same with morning and night.
Residents with dementia seemed to be isolated on the top floor. I don't know if they were all allowed down into the
garden in the nice weather. On the plus side, the artwork on his bedroom door, cycling which was his hobby when young. Also, labelling of clothes worth every penny of £25.
