Mom came into care displaying challenging behaviours. Overall she received good, attentive care from all of the team which made the experience easier for us overall.
On reflection, I would recommend this facility for it's professional and caring attitude.

We have entrusted Bromford home for 5 years to care for our mother. I have always found the staff friendly, professional and caring. The staff here don't change often which is great for the residents and also says a lot for the Management Team.

Thank you to all the Dementia staff Nurses and care staff at Bromford Lane Care Centre for the care provided to my Dad.
Dad stayed in an EAB (enhanced assessment beds) capacity on his journey towards a permanent placement elsewhere nearer his family.
Because of the EAB capacity, Mum had access to
NHS physios approximately three times a week who were fantastic with dad and aided in him rehab from receiving all care in bed to being able to sit out and engage again. I can't thank them enough for that.
Thank you to the EAB manager and the EAB Deputy who went above and beyond, they were always available to help. EAB Deputy Manager would greet with a smile she would give Dad a hug and sit chat to him. It has been a difficult time for Dad and seeing your genuine enthusiasm about each step in his improvement won't be forgotten - thank you.
Thank you to another member of staff (Family Liaison), in particular, for helping us when things weren't running smoothly and for your kindness.

totally new to me and they have been a great help.

I am aware that placing a loved one in to care is an incredible emotional decision so wanted to update that review which i hope gives some comfort to this placing loved ones at BLCH. The care, the catering, the support staff & care workers remain above and beyond excellent. My father has been at the
Home since 5/24 & I personally, & as a family cannot fault the care & respect shown to my father. The daily activities are engaging & appropriate for those suffering with dementia, the staff know my father & the other residents by their names & engage with them in a thoroughly appropriate way, they show great respect to all residents & are supportive & respectful of the family on each visit. From the Home manager to the catering team, care staff, nursing team, facilities team, housekeeping & catering staff ( the food is excellent!! ) I can only give the highest possible rating

I am writing to formally raise serious concerns regarding the welfare of residents and the severe lack of staffing at Bromford care home which is resulting in patient neglect and putting lives at risk. The level of care being provided is unacceptable, and I am particularly disturbed by an incident I
witnessed on Mar 7, 2025, that exemplifies the gravity of the situation. Incident on Mar 7, 2025 - Elderly Woman in Critical Condition Due to Neglect. On this date, I was visiting my mother, who is currently residing at your facility for assessment. Residents Left Unattended for Long Periods - Patients who require assistance with mobility, toileting, feeding, and medication administration are often left waiting for unacceptably long times, leading to distress, discomfort, and potential health Medical Emergencies Not Handled Promptly - As evidenced by the incident on Mar 7, even critical situations are not addressed with the urgency they require, putting lives at risk.

Thank you to all the nursing and care staff at Bromford Lane Care Centre for the care provided to my mum.
Mum stayed in an EAB (enhanced assessment beds) capacity on her journey towards a permanent placement elsewhere nearer her family. I was initially concerned about this extra step in the process
but I can honestly say that Mum's condition improved significantly during her stay there.
Because of the EAB capacity, Mum had access to NHS physios approximately three times a week who were fantastic with Mum and aided in her rehab from receiving all care in bed to being able to sit out and engage again. I can't thank them enough for that.
Thank you to the managers of the EAB who went above and beyond, providing an appropriate recliner for Mum to make this huge improvement possible. It has been a difficult time for Mum and seeing your genuine enthusiasm about each step in her improvement won't be forgotten - thank you.
Thank you to another member of staff, in particular, for helping us when things weren't running smoothly and for your kindness.

Thank you to Bromford Lane Care Centre, especially the nursing unit for the care they provided to my mum over the last 4 1/2 years that she was with you until she sadly passed away in May. You became Mum's Bromford family when her family couldn't be with her and we knew she was in safe hands. Mum
was happy with you and made friends and it was lovely to watch the videos with her taking part in the activities, especially the sing-alongs. Thank you all for caring.

This is the first time we have ever used a care home so I have nothing to compare it to but our experience has been very positive, it seems the care workers have an incredibly difficult job but they do it with care and compassion and most importantly, with kindness. I have spent over 2 hours there
every evening for the last couple of weeks and in that time, my mom has got a lot better and will be coming home on Thursday. I hope we don't have to use a care home in the future but if we do I would be very happy to use Bromford Lane Care Centre. Thank you to all the staff.

My brother had a previously arranged cardiology appointment at the hospital on 3rd May, when he was resident. I rang to arrange for him to be taken - but he wasn't! I only found out when the consultant's secretary rang later, and arranged an alternative appointment. I haven't had any explanation of
why this didn't happen. In June, he was notified that he needed a Covid booster jab. I notified the home, and it was being referred to the visiting GP the next day, I was assured. When I checked with my brother at the weekend, nothing had happened, so he missed the deadline.

My mom came to Bromford Lane Care Centre from hospital. She came there to be assessed. Even though Mom didn't want to be there, the staff made her very welcome. The staff took Mom outside for a cigarette whenever they had time which she liked. We were happy with the care and compassion that was
given to Mom. We couldn't fault anything at the home and thank everyone for what they did for Mom.
