View Full Details of Barchester Cherry Blossom ManorMy mother was a resident for over 3 years and I could not have found anywhere better for her to live. The care has been exceptional. The grounds are beautiful and food is well prepared and nutritious and the activities team are very impressive in creating interesting activities for residents. My mother suffered from dementia and the carers are wonderful and they really understood and liked my mother. The sense of humour and one to one empathy was so good to see. There are extremely well qualified nurses always on shift. They know each resident well and are highly skilled at predicting and managing escalating needs and deteriorating health. My mother's end of life care was sensitive and compassionate and they looked after the family as well as my mother. I wanted her to die where she was known and cared for and she died peacefully and surrounded by love. Exceptional care from an exceptional team, you really couldn't choose anywhere better to be a resident.
Everyone connected to my mothers care have gone above and beyond to make sure my mother was happy, comfortable and secure. Her last week was filled with kindness and compassion. The standard of care, cleaning, catering and nursing exceeded our family's expectations. This standard was set by management and reflected in all areas. Thank you Cherry Blossom Manor.
My father spent 14 months at Cherry Blossom Manor before passing peacefully away. The home created a safe environment with care, compassion and expertise particularly with regards to dementia. This helped dad but also gave us, as a family, the understanding that dad was being well cared for.
Excellent help and assistance in facilitating our 23 wedding anniversary. The cake was outstanding and enjoyed by grandchildren and other family members. The duty manager and staff were excellent and made the afternoon a memorable occasion in particular the care taken in my wife comfort and appearance in addition to the room decorations. My wife particularly enjoyed the excellent music & singing events.
A lovely comfortable home with caring staff who will always acknowledge me. Dad is happy and was well catered for on his 96th Birthday last month, April. Thank you.
It has been nearly a year since my husband has been at Cherry Blossom Manor. I visit regularly each week and it is so evident that the home is a warm, welcoming and caring environment for residents and families alike. Staff are so kind and caring and always so cheerful although at times I know that it's so difficult for them. I would highly recommend Cherry Blossom Manor.
I couldn't wish for a better care home for my mum who is suffering from late stage dementia. The rooms, food and care team are utterly outstanding. As are the activities and the grounds. So very very happy!
My mother stayed for 10 nights respite care. She and I were extremely pleased with the care and attention she received from every member of staff and, if she needed similar care in the future, she would not hesitate to return to Cherry Blossom.
My Grandmother, resident on Memory Lane. The moment I first visited her here, I was so impressed with the lovely building and surroundings. Felt like a hotel, not a care home! All the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Always smiling and happy to help. The atmosphere here is lovely and warm, activity's always happening ranging from bingo to a pianist and a therapy dog. The nursing team are fabulous, even giving me first aid when I hit my head. Going above and beyond, calling a few days later to see how I am. They give you time and listen to us whilst going through a difficult diagnosis. The care staff are also brilliant, they are very happy and treat the residents with respect. I can see why Cherry Blossom wins numerous awards and features regularly in the local paper. Thank you all Cherry Bloosom you are all super stars. Thank you for keeping our loved family member safe and well looked after.
What a wonderful place! Its very telling that most of the staff have been there for years, it is such a good environment. My mother was exceptionally well cared for and all the staff are really passionate about their work. The premises are modern and well maintained and the food is excellent. I told them they have a new customer, I'd like to go there when I am in need (hopefully a few years yet).
I'm so impress of the care I receive here. And all the wishes I have is pretty covered. I'm very happy.
My husband originally went for respite, but, is now a resident. The home is light and bright and welcoming, more like a hotel than a care home. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a good selection on the menu every day. Activities all week. I can now rest knowing my husband is well cared for and in safe hands.
We are very satisfied with the home and the staff. We have noticed that mum is eating well and she seems to have settled in well. Her room is lovely and a good size.
I live here and I am very happy, enjoy my time with staff. I would like to stay here.
Very comfortable care home, very good staff. Delicious food. Plenty of things to do.
I feel safe and content.
What's not to like? I was looking for the ideal respite care for my mother for a short period whilst I got home care into place. I wanted her to have the best possible experience of a care home so she would always think fondly of her time in a home. From the moment I first visited Barchester Cherry Blossom Manor and was shown around, I knew my mother would feel like she was on holiday. The ensuite rooms are immaculate, the eating areas are set out like restaurants, the lounges are luxurious but by far, the largest attribute is the staff. The manager and her deputy visited my mother at home for assessment and were delightful. At the home, the staff go above and beyond each and every day and treated my mother as if she were part of their own family. Absolutely nothing is too much trouble which is important when you are leaving a loved one in their care, I got nothing other than a real "feel good" factor all the time my mother was at Cherry Blossom. Importantly, my mother was very happy at Cherry Blossom!
Mum has been at Cherry Blossom since October 2023. Her experience from the get-go has been second to none. Within the first week, we could see a difference in her. They ensured that her needs were met and went above and beyond to ensure that she was well looked after and that the little things that meant so much to her were done. She has always taken pride in her appearance and it was such a relief to see that the carer's had picked up on this. Within weeks her overall health but particularly her mental health, had improved considerably. It took her a little while to settle but each day the carers were patient with her and went very much at her pace. Now, she is a different woman, she takes part in the activities and has made some wonderful friends. All the carers are respectful, kind and helpful and we all feel that she is in very safe hands. Additionally, as a visitor we are always made to feel very welcome- whether you are 1 or 101 Cherry Blossom Care Home is a wonderful place to be.
Happy with care and support. Majority of care staff go above and beyond. Individual rooms and furniture tired, need updating. Outside areas are well maintained and presented. Activities to include all residents preferably not just the same few. No experience of management since relative entering 2 and a half years ago.
From day one, my mother has been excellently looked after by all members of staff. They are all very caring and are never in a rush to explain what needs to happen. My mother is always spoken to with respect and treated with dignity.
