I cannot fault Windmill Manor! My relative has been there over a year now and her health has improved greatly. I visit almost every day and can say without a doubt that this is a fabulous care home who really do care about the residents. I base this on what I see and hear and if I do have any
questions/concerns they are addressed straight away. I see respite cases who want to stay or improve greatly as well as a resident who got so strong they went back home'. It's a huge decision and can feel overwhelming to place a loved one in a home for both yourself and the person going to live there but I cannot recommend Windmill Manor enough. I had conducted a lot of research beforehand with my relative having respite and another stay where they did not settle. I hope this is passed on to the staff as I am very grateful to everyone

Recently, Mum had to be admitted to hospital. Thanks to the attentiveness & vigilance of the nurse on duty, the doctor & paramedics were called & Mum was admitted with pneumonia. Last year this was missed by her former care home, but this time it was identified much earlier, preventing her condition
from deteriorating as it had in the past.
Mum also had a fall due to weakness following her pneumonia. The staff acted promptly & professionally, keeping me well informed throughout the night while paramedics attended to assess her. I was reassured Mum was being closely monitored & the communication from the night staff was clear, caring & consistent. They even contacted me late into the night to provide reassurance during a very worrying time.
I am extremely grateful to all the staff involved for their care, professionalism, and compassion. Their vigilance made a significant difference to Mum's wellbeing and gave me great peace of mind.
The staff not only support mum but the family too.

Such a lovely vibe to the home. Staff are always friendly and happy. The entertainment is varied and engaging. I manage to visit most days and it is nice to see Dad settled and a relief he is well cared for. Thank you

Mum initially came to the home for respite and had such an improvement in wellbeing she stayed. Staff are supportive and friendly to Mum and family. Mum loves the activities and social side. Was hesitant over Mum coming to a care home but everyone at Windmill have been fantastic throughout all
areas.

My husband has been in Windmill Manor for a year now so I've pretty much seen it all!! I am even more impressed with the home than I was in the early days. I have come to know the staff and many of the relatives. It really is a big family here.
I have been able to come and go as I please and am
always made to feel welcome. My husband has received the kindest of care under sometimes testing circumstances. The staff are always thoughtful and understanding. It seems that daily care staff, night staff, kitchen, admin, maintenance, cleaners, management and literally everyone knows who is who and what is going on. It's impressive. My year has been so strange - very sad but on the other hand we have also had lots of laughs. He is extremely well cared for and is very content.

The whole atmosphere is lovely and the staff are great. My mother has settled well after a very rocky period - Windmill recognise both the resident and the strain on the relative due to the very nature of the care. I trust them totally and would whole heartedly recommend them.

Amazing care home friendly staff takes very good care of my dad kept informed of everything
Two members of staff, in particular, are the best very friendly and keeping me updated about my dad. I was very happy about their sense of care and their facilities tailored to the benefit of residents.

Excellent care home that exceeds expectations. When I first visited the care home, I was incredibly impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere and kind, caring staff. The staff make sure that each and every resident is doing their best and is well. The activities that take place in the care home
are absolutely remarkable and memories are made (events such as Christmas fairs and parties). During the Christmas Fair this year items could be purchased as gifts and delicious seasonal food was available to try. Residents always have smiles on their faces since they are taken care of very well by the wonderful staff at Windmill Manor Care Home. It brings such pleasure to know that our loved ones are in such good hands. Thank you Windmill Manor for everything you do for our families.

The carers here have shown such patience and kindness to my husband. He has early onset dementia and can be very challenging. They have taken the time to let him settle and are always very welcoming to us as family when we visit.
They always have something positive to say about how he is doing.
Their job is challenging but they are always ready with a smile and reassurance.
All the staff, management, reception, maintainence team, cleaners and laundry staff included, always have time to stop and say hello. We are very grateful for them all.

The staff at Windmill Manor are very kind and gentle. Two members of staff, in particular, were extremely good with my friend's care needs, keeping his dignity at all times.

I was admitted for 10 days respite care for an infected arm caused by a fall. I received nursing care for my arm and rest. The kindness of all staff was exceptional. I have no problems with the home nor the staff.

I am thoroughly impressed with the level of care and attention offered at Barchester Windmill Manor Care Home. The staff members exhibit remarkable compassion, professionalism and a steadfast dedication to the well-being of all residents. As a friend of one of the residents, I have personally
observed the significant improvements since the new manager assumed their role. I like the new manager, she has introduced a revitalizing and positive atmosphere, showcasing outstanding leadership and a sincere commitment to enhancing the quality of care. Furthermore, the food is delicious and healthy that the residents genuinely appreciate. I wholeheartedly recommend this care home to anyone in search of a supportive and caring home.

Barchester Windmill Manor Care Home has been a wonderful place for my loved one. The staff are kind, attentive and treat residents with dignity and respect. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Knowing my grandparent is in such good hands gives me great

My biggest gripe is the billing. Every month there is an issue with our bill. Don't know if the bill is not double-checked before it's sent out.
All of my questions are resolved but I should not have to be checking it.
It would be nice to see more sauces on the table for chips, fish etc. without
having to ask

The activities that are organised in this home are amazing, from the farm, to music, to taking my dad to a car museum, I really couldn't ask for more!
The food here is amazing, it's hot, delicious and I'm often jealous of their choices.
The new manager is always friendly and supportive, as are the
receptionists.
Only downside, for me, is Dad misses out on activities in the evening as he is put to bed at 4, maybe on days were there are activities he could stay up!

Visiting a friend weekly, always find staff welcoming and friendly, offering a cup of tea when residents have tea and cake. A very human and sensitive approach to residents regardless of the response by residents with memory issues.
A homely atmosphere and encouraging to witness the relationship of
respect by carers for residents on each and every visit. Very clean and cared for environment.

Is good very friendly carers, good humour. Care is good, high level of detail toward food preferences of the relative. Very compassionate and willing to help with any problems and very patient with my deaf Grandma. Facilities are also very well kept and clean and there's a nice cafe area to chill in
too with fresh cakes.

I went to visit a friend. The home was very tidy and clean. The cafe area was bright and welcoming with fresh cake and coffee.
I was treated like part of the community and welcomed by all the bright smiley faces. I had a wonderful day catching up with my friend, watched the home's fireworks display
and she told me about all the things she gets up to.
Such a wonderful home and loving community.
