The home is modern, bright, clean and welcoming. Safeguards are in place such as keypads to keep residents safe, mum has a side guarded bed with pressure mattress to prevent bed sores and personal care is given by more than one staff member to prevent accidents. I am warmly welcomed when entering
and the staff have treated mum with dignity and respect. Mums room is spotlessly clean.
They keep a close eye on her health and prompt action has been taken when mum has been unwell. Her meals are tailored to her needs and the staff feed her with kindness. Visitors are always asked if we would like a drink when the trolley comes round and we are able to help ourselves to a drink in the kitchen at any time.
Despite being bedridden and having advanced dementia, the activity staff spend time with her regularly. Communication has been fantastic, there is always someone available to speak to regarding mums care and I am able to visit mum at any time.
Highly recommend Bassett House!

My mother has been been at Bassett House since 2022 and as a family we are very happy with the care she has had and continues to receive. When she first arrived at Bassett House we had specific needs and having reviewed a number of care homes the manager at BH was the only one willing to go out of
their way to accommodate my mother and, at the time, also my father. My mothers care needs have changed over time and her care has been adapted to anticipate and meet her needs as her condition has developed. The home is extremely welcoming to family and visitors and I don't think there has been a time when I have visited when I have not been greeted by at least one member of staff and that could be anyone from the management team to the cleaning/maintenance staff. Family and friends are actively invited into the home to attend activities and events and the newly refurbished home has really enhanced the overall warmth and friendliness of the home.

My father has lived at Bassett House since 2021, and the quality of care he has received has been consistently high. He enjoys the food and all the staff are excellent, I cannot fault them. I am kept up to date with any changes in his health and I take comfor from kniwing he is in good hands .

I've always found Bassett House to be an efficient, well-run care home. The management and care staff are lovely and engaging. Food is good and nothing seems to be too much for the staff. My friend is in a good, comfortable place and is happy with his lot.

Bassett House has looked after Mum very well. The staff always make sure she is nicely dressed and her needs are catered for. They all know her by name and make sure she is included in activities. It has just been updated so provides a homely environment for the residents.

My mum was only at Bassett House for 5/6 weeks until she passed this week but the care and compassion she received was second to none from all members of staff. I did too. I cannot thank everyone enough. I couldn't have wished for a better home for her to be in and take her last breath. Nothing was
ever too much trouble. It was just a shame her stay was so short.

Bassett House provides a very welcoming and comfortable environment where residents enjoy pleasant surroundings, good food and kind and thoughtful care from all the staff.
My husband recently spent a few weeks in Crawford Unit for respite care. The staff showed great patience, kindness and
understanding towards him. They were very supportive of me too and I was content that my husband was receiving excellent all round care.
My heartfelt thanks to all the staff.

The management and all the staff have been very professional and kind. The standard of care has been outstanding which gave me the confidence knowing the resident was being cared for at all times. The whole care home was immaculately clean. The activities for the residents are very good and there is
something for everyone, the staff who organise the activities take the time to find out the residents interests and will find a activitiy they might like.

My mother was only in Bassett House Care Home for a couple of days in October last year but she was received with kindness and consideration. I felt that there was a genuine feeling of warmth towards her and the family. Thank you.

My mother received excellent care at Bassett House Care Home, we couldn't have asked for more. The carers were friendly and took care of Mum's needs very well.
Her room was kept in a clean and comfortable manner and nothing was too much trouble.

I have no complaints, it's a really lovely place. The staff are very polite, the home is spotless. The nurses, carers and everyone that works in the home is really wonderful. I have been in the home at least once or twice a week, I've never met such lovely people at "Bassett House Care Home". They
are all excellent people, no problems whatsoever.
Lovely to meet them when I go over to see a patient. Excellent.

My uncle lived in Bassett House Care Home from September 2022 to March 2024. The care, kindness and respectfulness of the staff were exemplary. Everyone was so friendly to him and to the whole family. There were lots of different activities, and the staff tailored them to my uncle’s needs. For
example, he loved music, so every day, after breakfast, they would play old songs for him in the dining room. Staff would always have a chat with him and encourage him to join in with the events going on. They also helped myself and my family understand how to deal with dementia and some of the issues that he had. The home was always clean, warm and welcoming, and we were kept informed of changes and plans for the future.
I would thoroughly recommend this care home.

The service provided is good, any questions raised are answered promptly and with care. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
On the minus side, more interaction with residents and more activities would be welcomed.
The home is undergoing a refit and I think this will greatly benefit residents.

My mum was accepted at very short notice. On arrival, she was welcomed by the manager and senior nurse. From the onset, we were listened to and supported in every way.
Her stay was relatively short but she was treated with care and dignity in her last days. I cannot fault the care she was given.

When my sister-in-law went into Bassett House, she was very poorly, not moving about much.
After being at Bassett House, there was a marked improvement. She was much more alert and able to feed herself.
The staff took time to speak to her and keep her clean and tidy.
She enjoyed the
entertainment, singing, fireworks, etc. Also, the staff made her feel wanted.

Mum went for respite here for three weeks. The service to get Mum into Bassett House was quick and efficient. Nurse staff were excellent, but some carers would wander off and leave Mum in the bathroom for excessive periods, which resulted in her sorting herself out, which initially was not
appropriate. Also, one member of night staff (female) was tough and did not respond to requests for a blanket, as Mum was cold. Generally however, the vast majority of staff were really kind and compassionate. The activities were good and engendered a 'we're all in this together' environment.

My mum has been at Bassett House Care Home for nearly three years and from day one, she had the best loving care at all times and treated with dignity. The last six months have been very difficult due to end of life. Mum passed away November 2nd 2023 and the nurse on duty held her hand until the
end. They have been of great comfort to me and my sister. They are all amazing.

My brother and I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Bassett House for the care given to our sister. The ward staff were always kind and courteous towards her and showed great patience when required, the office staff all seemed aware of her condition and discussed her well-being when we
visit.
We were always made to feel welcome when we visited the care home by all the staff.

The 3 ladies did everything they were able to help me through a very difficult time. Nothing was too much trouble. The young people on the 2nd floor, although always busy, made time to care for my husband and for that I am grateful.

My mother received excellent care at Bassett House Care Home, we couldn't have asked for more. The carers were friendly and took care of Mum's needs very well.
Her room was kept in a clean and comfortable manner and nothing was too much trouble.
