We have been visiting Windmill House on a regular basis since January 2025. At the onset we received a friendly and warm welcome from all of the staff with whom we came into contact, and this clearly reflect the philosophy of the home. From our observations the utilities are of a high quality, and
maintained to an excellent standard. Our friend has a single en-suit room where we can meet in comfort. There is also a coffee lounge where residents can entertain their visitors with tea and coffee provided. Our friend advises that the food is excellent and there is always a choice of any meals. We have also been impressed by the many and varied activities that are organised for the benefit of the residents, both within and the outside of the home. The fact that the Care Quality Commission in their most recent report of March 2025 rated the home Good in all five disciplines inspected speaks for itself. We would commend Maria and her dedicated group of staff for all their good work

Staff are very happy to help with any assistance or concerns. Very
caring.
My mum has had a few health issues and they always have a plan in place to give her the best individual care. Would recommend for sure.

Dealing with dementia in the family and deciding to place a loved one, especially a parent, into a care setting is never going to be easy, but the support, advice and warmth we've continually experienced from Maria and her team has made it that little bit easier. Mum has been living at Windmill
House for a year now and I do genuinely feel she is part of a community. The residents have mixed needs but staff pull together and work so hard to create a relaxed, fun and homely environment. Yes, occasionally little issues arise as you might imagine in a setting such as this, but the tight knit team do their best to put our minds at rest and ensure mum is well cared for, clean, fed with tasty home cooked food, entertained and most importantly loved! I honestly feel so fortunate to have found Windmill house.

Since mum came to Windmill House she has been cared for brilliantly and treated exceptionally well.
Despite her complex needs linked to her Alzheimer's the staff have been amazing.
They care, they treat her with respect and every need is met.
The communication and support for families is
brilliant and it has been the best thing I could ask for for mum.
She is now safe and I can relax in the knowledge she is in the best place possible. A shared thank you to the staff team is nowhere near enough to express my gratitude!

From my very first contact with Windmill House, as a daughter of soon to be resident, the staff at every level have been kind, reassuring and knowledgeable. The care my mother has received is way beyond expectations and I can relax in the knowledge that her final days are being spent on such caring
surroundings. The admiration I feel towards all staff includes the managerial, administrative, caring, cleaning and chefs.
09 June 2025
Made to feel very welcome when visiting! Staff know where she is when I arrive and tell me how she has participated with things after the previous few days. Plenty of activities going on throughout the day with staff fully engaged.

My Mum has been at Windmill House for 10 months now and I can honestly say we (myself and Mum) feel so lucky. I doubt I could have found anywhere better for my Mum who has Alzheimer's and mobilty issues.
It's a lovely, bright, well laid out, clean and fresh smelling care home. The rooms all look
nice and lots of residents have personal belongs which makes it very homely.
The facilities are good, there is even a cafe room for visiting relatives and friends to make use of, should they wish to.
And of course what makes Windmill House such a good carehome is the staff. I could not have been made more welcome when I viewed. The manager is a diamond and she has a fantastic team of dedicated staff.
My Mum has not been so occupied and happy in a long time. I know she is safe and extremely well cared for both emotionally and physically. Windmill house has been and still is a God send. I highly recommend this caring care home.

My dad came into Windmill House from another local care home which we thought was good! But wow, the difference we have found with Windmill House is totally different experience. Much more friendly staff, a pleasant reception area, excellent care with experienced staff. Food is great and the chef is
so friendly with residents & guests. A particular staff member is brilliant with all the residents, her games & entertainment for residents is top notch. The manager has to take a lot of credit as it starts at the top. 10/10 thank you xx

Windmill House staff and management are all amazing. I myself worked in care for 20 years of which a lot of these years in managerial/senior positions and I couldn't fault Wildmill House. They tick ALL the boxes for good/excellent care, compassion and understanding of the complete needs of their
residents. The home is fresh and smells clean no matter what time of day it is, all staff are kind and welcoming.

My mum was in respite care in another home & the standards & atmosphere was poor. After viewing 20+ local care homes, we visited Windmill House & generally, it brought tears to my eyes because of how welcoming, clean and well-presented the home was.
The manager & her team are all incredible & the
care home is really 'a home from home' where Mum has now been for 8 months. This is her 'forever home'.

Windmill Care home is the best ' home ' I have yet encountered. I have experience of other care homes where family members resided in the past and I also spent some years as a maintenance contractor to a large care home in Norfolk. Whilst there are other good homes I cannot say they match Windmill
for it's overall outstanding qualities.
The manager and all the team must be commended for their total devotion to the care and wellbeing of the residents. Each time I visit I feel the warmth and friendliness of all the staff and have absolute confidence in their professional abilities. It has a very happy family feel within and I feel privileged to have made friends there. I believe my partner's contentment stems from all aspects of the outstanding care she receives at Windmill.
Thank you the manager and all the wonderful team

My mother has been resident at Windmill for almost two years now, and her quality of life, her physical health, and her cognitive skills have all improved massively as a result of living in Windmill's amazing caring and loving environment. The staff - management, carers, kitchen, housework and
activities all work together to create a very special loving and fun atmosphere. They show respect and kindness in everything they do.

I selected Windmill House from five other care homes. I was very impressed at the ease with which I was able to organise a period of respite care for my mother, who is living with Alzheimer's and Dementia. The management, reception and staff are very supportive, knowledgeable and helpful. I am
comforted by their great communication and warmth. Windmill House has a cosy atmosphere and the building is spacious, light and airy. The level of care my mother receives is of a high standard, so much so that my mother's condition has improved. The activities program is very well thought out with a wide variety of appropriate activities which are stimulating and engaging, delivered by a caring, loving, professional team.
