In these places the saying is 'I know how you feel I worked in a place like that' but that is the point the staff work with these people they then go home and forget, enjoy family life etc. They only care for 12 hours, but what I have noticed about the staff is that they do care. They do put a lot
into there 12 hours and it shows, so I do have a new found respect for those people. The home is clean, airy well maintained, comfortable, ok food is not the best. but that personal choice. But I like the fact that snacks and drinks are basicly on tap. and diets are catered for and the staff treat this seriously.

My husband likes staying here for respite. And surprisingly all his socks and clothes are coming home him.

Dad came into La Fontana after a terrible stay in hospital. We were very upset with the way he was treated in hospital, but La Fontana turned this round and offered the exact opposite. He was only there for three months but he was treated with dignity and respect. Despite his dementia and conditions
he seemed to enjoy his stay. There was always somebody to talk to and things for him to do. The room was lovely. As were the staff. I was kept informed with everything they did and nothing seemed too much trouble. Can't recommend them enough. Sadly, we lost Dad but at least he went in a place that he started to call home.

La Fonta is full of kind, warm, understanding and compassionate staff. NOTHING is too much trouble for the staff whether it be sitting and having a much needed chat with a resident, or making a cup of tea for a visiting family members. My grandma only spent 7 months at La Fontana, but in that time
she found peace, a sense of belonging and renewed joy in the community and for that I'll be forever grateful.

Living so far away, the nurses were amazing, shared all the information needed, even when dad was having a bad time, the staff were so kind, patient and caring. Thank you very much for welcoming my dad and our family.

Overall the service is very good. The activities. staff are excellent. The kitchen staff are excellent and provide lovely tasty food. The cleaners also do an amazing job. Most of the carers are also excellent but there are a few who are maybe be in the wrong job.

My husbands care is generally very good, My only grumble would be that he often has no underwear. Today he has only one pair of pants in his room, having supplied several dozen pairs, I think this is not a good situation!

Firstly, the accommodation is very good. My husband receives super care at La Fontana. The staff are so friendly and helpful towards him, and towards me when I visit three times a week, so i regularly see what is going on.
He receives only minor medical treatment as needed and weekly visits from
the surgery ensure that any concerns are addressed.
There is a range of activities, even though he rarely takes part. and he is encouraged to participate.

My mother-in-law has been at La Fontana since 2019. The staff take very good care of her and have a very good understanding of dementia and behaviours associated with it.
The staff are friendly with mum and visitors. They contact us if anything has changed or need permission for vaccines, etc

My mother-in-law came to stay at La Fontana a couple of years ago, she stayed in a lovely en-suite room that over looked lovely gardens where we took walks in good weather.
From day one the staff were wonderful, kind caring and so compassionate, they always greeted with a smile. In the last weeks
that my mother-in-law was with us she was cared for with such love and tenderness.
Thank you to all the staff at La Fontana.

Mum spent two and a half years in La Fontana. She was so well looked after by everyone. She was treated with dignity, compassion, nothing was too much trouble.
The care and love that was given to her in her last days was unbelievable and very humbling. Everyone was amazing. Thanks to you all.

I had been visiting my mum regularly at La Fontana Care Home for two and a half years until her recent passing. Each time I visited the management and staff were always welcoming, approachable and friendly. Mum's care was first class, she was always treated with respect and kindness. I cannot thank
the staff enough for their dedication and the care provided to my mum, as well as the support and empathy shown to our family.

Just wanted to say how pleased we are with La Fontana. The staff (too many to mention) are amazing. The management and nurse team make the home such as great place for my dad. Thank you all. I cannot recommend highly enough. Brilliant.

From the moment I walked into the reception at La Fontana, I felt cared for. The receptionist provides a warm welcome, which spreads throughout the whole building. My incle's bright stay in a large, well-equipped en-suite corner room overlooking the surrounding beautiful countryside was an
experience our family will treasure. La Fontana is a stunning building filled with compassionate, hardworking and dedicated staff. Every time our family visited, my uncle was being well cared for, his carers always made time to speak and in the end, went above and beyond to comfort and support us. Thank you, La Fontana.

Overall the staff and management of La Fontana are very helpful. The level of care is excellent and they do what they can to help with a smile and pleasant attitude. When there are particular times of difficulty, medical need/emergency they are very thorough and understand extremely well the
regulations and laws protecting both resident and family wishes (as in power of attorney). We cannot thank the management and staff enough for being so kind and welcoming, always willing to help when there are particular issues, willing to listen, understand and empathise. If there is anything we would change it's the language barrier from some staff but know all have a reasonable level of English.

I cannot speak highly enough of all the care that my husband the resident is receiving at La Fontana. The care and concern is also extended to us as a family. I cannot think of anywhere else I would wish my husband to be cared for.

Amazing care home, very happy having found this gem. All staff are so friendly and attentive, nothing too much trouble. My father enjoys the interactions between residents and staff. I can go home knowing he's in safe hands.

My mother was very challenging on her arrival. She is now very calm, smiles and laughs. We have very good visits. She is happy. Staff are courteous and friendly.
