View Full Details of Lincombe Manor Care CentreLincombe Manor home is a superb home. Great staff and manager. Sea views from windows and roof terrace. My mum has been here ten weeks and I have visited her every day. The nurses are very good, keeping you up to date on care given. The home enjoys fun activities. The food is freshly made and of a high standard. Coffee and tea offered to guest. As a daughter I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting a place for a loved one. They go above and beyond.
Excellent right across the board! Does this mean that Lincombe Manor is perfect? Of course not. Perfection is impossible, especially considering the ever changing requirements and issues associated with caring for the elderly. What I can say is that my wifes mother has been cared for with compassion, dignity and dare I say it, even love by the staff at this really lovely facility. My wife and I have visited every day for the last nine weeks and have observed very speedy responses to all situations that have arisen and both staff and management have been really cooperative and communicative throughout. Plus, the food is great too. We thank all who work here from the bottom of our hearts.
My dad was taken into Lincombe manor in July 2025 directly from hospital.I felt very emotional and so thankful that we had been lucky to find such a wonderful place for my dad to spend his last days . Nicola and all her team were amazing All of the Nursing staff really took great care of my dad's dignity and care and were so respectful , I thank them all for that. Sadly my dad passed away on the 13th of August . But the short stay he had in Lincombe manor was wonderful , as they always included my mother and always made her feel welcome . Thank-you all
Very good staff they look after my dad well the receptionists are so lovely and welcoming. I would recommend the care home to everyone couldn't ask for a better place for my dad.
All the staff at Lincombe Manor are so kind caring and thoughtful. I have been here now for almost 18 months. The setting of the home is just lovely. With an amazing sea view. The activities we have are wonderful and I go to as many as I can. I am so pleased my daughters chose this hoe for me.
I came here in January following my stay in hospital due to a stroke. All the staff have been extremely caring and helpful towards my recovery. I have had a lot of encouragement to learn to walk again with aids and to use my left arm again for washing and dressing. I am very pleased with my achievements and will soon be ready to go home thanks to all the help received I recommend this home. Good entertainment and activities.
Lincombe Manor is a marvelous home and has looked after me for 2 years now. Staff are fantastic and see to our every need. We can go up on the top terrace which is lovely. Activities are great and we are in the world wide quiz every month, I love that. My son of and daughter visit me lots and are made to feel very welcome and my little dog visits me sometimes. I am very happy here.
A fantastic home that has given my mum comfort and security - and enabled her to feel settled and at home. She is on palliative care - but I'm certain the friendliness of the staff and the security she feels has helped to give her strength and keep her going - so we have been able to enjoy several happy years visiting her and sharing meals and laughter. I can't thank all the staff enough for all their hard work each day - and look forward to visiting. Set in such a beautiful location with amazing views - I know my mum feels very lucky to be there .
Well impressed from my first meeting with the manager and her reception staff. They showed us around the care centre. I found it very homely and warm and all the staff had time for us. After going around a few care homes this one Lincombe Manor came out of far and above the rest.
My stay at Lincombe Manor Care Centre was only for a few days, so it is difficult for me to give an overall assessment, but I would like to say that during that time, I was very well looked after in every aspect. There was always the comfort of knowing that if you needed help day or night, it was there at a touch of a button. The food was excellent, a great choice, always well cooked and hot. Help with personal matters was always available and the facilities were kept very clean. I cannot comment on activities as my stay was too short, but there appear to be many things available to do if you were so inclined. I am very grateful to the management & staff for a very happy experience. Thank you very much.
My Father in Law was a resident of Lincombe Manor between 2018 until he passed away in March 2025. During that time I made numerous visits. The standard of care, the staff, the building, the facilities, entertainment etc was simply outstanding. Cannot fault one minute of his near 7 year stay. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Lincombe Manor is the very best care home I have ever been to. My dad was living there for seven years until he passed away recently. Throughout his time there all the staff without exception have been amazing, very courteous, friendly, knowlegeable, helpful and extremely caring and compassionate. The nursing care is second to none and the home is run very efficiently. The home itself is super clean, nice individual rooms, lovely light and spacious lounges and terraces overlooking the town. Plenty of activites for the residents. I would call Lincombe a hotel with care facilities. I can not recommend Lincombe Manor highly enough .
Good food. Fabulous location. Better than fabulous staff - kind, caring, patent, interested and fun. My second respite stay and I will return!
Since moving from another care home where I was very unhappy, Lincombe is a lovely place to live. The staff make me laugh. The food is lovely. I'm very happy.
Very caring staff. All requests attended to. Comfortable room and pleasant sitting room with pleasant outlook (when not raining!).
Every aspect of Lincombe Manor Care Centre is first-class. The staff, food, and quality of care are outstanding. Everyone is so friendly.
My mum has been a resident at Lincombe Manor for over five years. When she was first admitted we thought she might have only months to live but it is a testament to the excellent care given by all the wonderful staff that she is still with us and today we celebrated her 90th Birthday. We thought Mum would struggle to live in a care home because she has always been fiercely independent but Lincombe Manor has clearly given her a new lease of life, many thanks to the manager and the wonderful caring and friendly staff, who are professional at all times.
Own a fourth-year anniversary, the love shown by all staff is and continues to be superb. And the care shown is still the very best. My thanks to all who look after my wife.
Mum has been at Lincombe Manor since January. From our very first visit, every member of staff has always been so very welcoming and lovely to us. As a family, we now feel we have peace of mind knowing that Mum is so well cared for. I have visited many care homes over the years. I can honestly say that Lincombe Manor is one of the best care homes by far. It is in such a lovely setting with amazing views from the residents' lounge. As soon as anything is of concern regarding mum's health, for example, infection or increased pain, it is acted on immediately. Again giving us peace of mind as this was always something that was very challenging when Mum was living independently. Mum really enjoys the activities. When she is able to attend. They always make them good fun for the residents. Thank you to all the caring staff for looking after our mum so well. It is such a comfort to know she is safe and we all feel part of the family when we visit.
As a self funding resident, whom at the age of 94 we expected better care and communication for premium rates. Poor communication, leading to a very poorly Dad admitted to hospital. Dangerously high blood pressure and bruising that couldn't and wouldn't be explained. A manager that runs a care home more like a business than a care provider. Wouldn't take our concerns seriously - emergency removal to another home. Beware, the building might be beautiful but is the care?
