View Full Details of Diamond HouseMy brother, sister and I are very happy with the excellent care that our uncle receives in Diamond House. We know he is safe and warm and well fed. The staff are always very helpful and keep in regular contact as we don't live very close to the Home. It is quite difficult living a distance away but we feel very reassured that he is being monitored and cared for by a very capable team of people.
Over the past twelve months, conditions have improved a lot within the care home. The staff are a lot more kinder and supportive towards the service users, who are cared for well. I've noticed there are certain outstanding members of staff who go the extra mile to make sure the residents are happy and safe, while most of the not so nice staff have gone. Keep up the good teamwork guy's.Thanks for caring and sharing!
My family member have been cared for at Diamond Care Home since November 2019. In my view the care that my family member have received coming up for 6 years now have been kind , professional and supportive I know my family member is enjoying been at DCH. In particular she enjoys the food and activities when she is able to recall when asked by family members. I find that all staff at DCH are responsive to requests from family members and making appropriate changes if requested by family members. I will take this opportunity to thank care staff, admin staff , activities coordinators, catering staff. laundry staff , cleaning staff ,premises staff and management staff for providing a happy ,safe, warm, clean environment fir my family member.
My brother was taken into the Sapphire wing at the beginning of May with a severe pressure sore which has now healed well. All the staff have been excellent in looking after him. He has some very complex caring needs and has very limited communication after a brain tumour. They constantly update me on any problems that need addressing.
Sapphire house do a very good job with residents that are least difficult to deal with . All the staff do a good job and a few of them go the extra mile to make the residents happy to be at the home and give the relatives of the residents comfort in knowing that they are being looked after as well as can reasonably be expected
Great place , carers are fantastic, mum is always clean and tidy and fed well , no one wants to end up in care but we couldn't manage and it was a must and I'm so happy it's worked out well , this home and the seniors and staff are fantastic , thank you to them all
My mum first stayed at Diamond House for respite care and has now returned after a year away. Any concerns I had in the past were promptly dealt with, which gave me confidence in the home. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Mum enjoys being able to request walks when she wants, and there are always activities available to keep residents engaged. Overall, her needs are well met and I feel reassured knowing she's being well cared for.
I have nothing but good things to say about the care and love my mum receives from all staff. Only 1 observation washing her hair the day after it's been set is somewhat odd but it's a small item that we can live with
As a family, we are very happy with the excellent care provided for our Mum in Diamond House. The staff are always kind and considerate. The senior carers have regular full reviews with Mum, and we are consulted and asked if we have any concerns. The staff are always approachable, willing to listen and help in any way they can. Whenever we have made a suggestion that we feel may benefit her, it has been acted upon without delay. Thank you to all the staff, you do a great job. From a grateful family.
Staff are always friendly and helpful. The home is always clean and tidy. There is a good diary of different events for residents to enjoy every week with lots of variety to suit the residents capabilities.
My mum was a resident of Diamond House from December 2023. She was diagnosed with dementia three years earlier and when it came to the time that we could not care for her safely ourselves we agonised over her going into a care home. We should not have worried from the very first day she was offered outstanding care. The staff showed her respect and valued her dignity. They were inspirational in how they showered her with affection and made her feel safe and loved. We were made to feel so welcome and they understood the importance of our family relationships and how deeply we cared for our mum. She was treated with kindness and her care was exceptional it went beyond our expectations. She was cared for during her final days with the same respect care and love and they showed this to us during our most difficult time. For this we are forever grateful the staff cared for her and us so well in her final days and this gives us great comfort as we navigate this world without her.
This was a fantastic care home which my father stayed in for just over 12 months before he passed away. He arrived in a distressed state after a hip operation, limited mobility and early stage dementia. Immediately the staff took care of him, showing great patience and empathy with his situation. They ensured he was comfortable there ate regularly and was always on top of his medication. Our family experience with the home and staff was very good. We received regular updates on how my dad was doing and if there were any issues they contacted us. They were truly amazing in his final week when he needed constant care and attention. An excellent location for people who need residential care. The staff are amazing. I would highly recommend.
Shocking from the day he was first moved in, everything was stressful to get anything done and saw some disturbing scenes, told social services about them and had meetings there with them, excuse after excuse, then my dad was attacked and left with a bad wound on his left arm. They refused me access to take him to accident and emergency and waited 48 hours until my dad's wound was infected to ring an ambulance. Before that they told social services and myself it was just a scratch which my dad had done by scratching himself which was not the case at all, said the hospital staff and was hospitalised for nearly two weeks. There is now a safeguarding investigation going on. My dad was seriously injured, this care home is absolutely shocking and should be put under special measures.
We visit every week and are always treated by cheerful polite staff. We have nothing negative to say about my husband's care, thank you so much. He seems very comfortable and we do not get a lot of sense out of him as the dementia has now set in. I still feel guilty about putting him in a care home but at 81 years I could not cope with him. Getting old is no great shakes I can tell you. I am so impressed with the staff at the care home and nothing seems too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend the care home to anyone.
On my visit to Diamond House I am always greeted by very friendly staff who always have the time to stop to answer any questions I may have. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed and the relationship between the staff and residents is very positive and the staff relate to the residents with kindness and understanding, recognising their individual needs. My brother is extremely happy at Diamond House has a very good relationship with all staff and is never pressurised into anything he does not want to participate in.
My mum has been a resident since late April and as a family we feel she has improved all round greatly. All the staff are very caring and management/admin staff are approachable at all times. The only reason I have not given 5 stars is that sometimes laundry items have not been returned and sometimes I have taken items home as washing has returned still stained. My mum tends to be too tired to participate in activities, but I have witnessed the team's hard work to create stimulation for residents. It is first class.
When I visit Diamond House I am greeted by very friendly staff, all very pleasant, and I get offered tea or coffee, and a slice of cake. Often when I am in my partner's room they knock on the door to ask if everything is okay and if there is anything he wants. My partner cannot praise them enough he is really happy at Diamond House.
We would like to thank all staff at Diamond House for their care, attention and love for Mum. She arrived about six weeks ago after a very lengthy stay in hospital. The consistency and kindness of the care have without doubt helped her to settle quickly into her new home. She looks very well, feels safe and is enjoying the social aspects of eating together and the daily activities. After a year of very poor health, it's a big relief to her family to see her so well and happy now. We hope she has many years at Diamond House enjoying life.
We, as a family, are very satisfied with our brother's care at Diamond House. He has been there for just over a year now and the care he has received is excellent. It helps that he is an easy going man but you can feel the affection that the staff have for him.
Our mother continues to settle in and seems more content with her surroundings. She is eating and sleeping well. She no longer asks to go home. Her room is outstanding and meets all her needs. The staff and overall atmosphere is excellent.
