We have been delighted with his care. He is happy and safe and the carers are supportive of him and us. He loves his room and all the activities and entertainment arranged. He enjoys the fun exercise sessions and says the food is excellent.

What an amazing location and team of people. All staff are very polite, caring, supportive and have a real interest in residents here.
My dad had a fall in August, following which he was unsafe to return home and live independently, we hummed and aahed several times, visited at odd moments and
never felt under pressure. Dad's room is bright and airy with lovely views over to Southampton docks, there's always something for him to watch.
Food is great, the activities on offer are varied, though to be fair dad's not tried many, but he gets encouraged to try. The home provides lots of regular information and it's comforting to see a slimmed down version of the care notes online, which gives us reassurance of how he is.
GP and other care service staff visit regularly, hair, nails, OT, eyes, hearing very comprehensive.
Dad's very happy and content there. Thank you.

I had an amazing visit with my mother on 18th September and I brought along a friend too, we stayed and had lunch with mum and what a wonderful lunch it was too, restaurant quality, service warm and friendly to all the residents I was very impressed, my thanks to all staff at West cliff... mum

The most important thing when I moved into the care home was that I felt safe. Having had several falls prior to moving in so this was important. I have a nice room which I enjoy. I am happy to call West Cliff Hall Care Home 'My home'

All of the carers are helpful, friendly and not too busy when you need help. The residents are very clean and spacious with excellent views. The staff are also helpful and friendly, always have time to listen to you. When he was in his last home he was in his room most of the times, so got very
depressed. He is very happy at West Cliff.

Having visited my grandmother in law I have found the place very clean, very friendly and when I have visited her in the dining area the food looks excellent. She looks very happy and well in her self.

I moved here last month. I did not want to come but now I am here I am enjoying it, making new friends being pampered in the salon. I love all the staff they are so caring and nice. The food is delicious and the activities are fun.

I have been here for a year and have found it excellent; The food is good, I have a big room now which I absolutely love, with 3 big windows that let the sun in.
The home is always clean and the staff are kind and efficient. The staff seem to be happy, which means the management is good. Overall, I
am happy here.

West Cliff Hall is a truly beautiful home. The building maybe be big but it's a home away from home straight away. From the minute you walk in the door you are welcomed and treated so well (a staff member in particular is fab!) The staff are friendly, the food is tasty and the activities on offer
are so much fun! The home is always so beautifully maintained and clean as well, which is obviously so important!

Building lovely, staff cheerful and good facilities. Unfortunately my Stepfather was seriously let down though. Alarm bells rang 2 days in and met manager to discuss. Lots of encouraging words but sadly had to remove Dad 2 days later. Unable to maintain medication timings, unable to manage his
safeguarding or the person who was harassing him. They were advanced in their condition and should have been supervised. On raising our complaint it seemed management disregarded the seriousness of the problem or just didn't read our email.
Hope they've improved and hired more staff but I would urge anyone to caution before placing a loved one there.

My mum was very agitated and upset when she moved in but staff have been wonderful, patient and kind to me and mum. Things have settled well and I've been impressed by the professionalism of all staff. Nothing has been too much trouble.

I would just like to say that I am very happy with things at West Cliff Hall, my mum seems to be very well cared for an I don't have to worry at all. The only thing my mum does not like very much is the meals, I feel there is so much waste, as she says a lot of the residents don't like the food. Its
very hard for me to put that, but I have to be honest such a shame because the Chef is such a nice man.

We can't thank everyone at West Cliff Care Home enough for looking after our mum and keeping her safe, also for keeping us well informed on any changes throughout her stay, between February 17th 2024 - 19th of August 2024 when our mum sadly passed away peacefully and in no pain. On the last visit I
made on the 19th, carers were keeping a vigil on her every fifteen minutes. My mum was made comfortable with a view out onto the garden where squirrels and birds could be seen. I was able to say my goodbyes to my mum and my visitors were very dignified. We were able to set up a community tea at the college where I work. The carers brought along the residents including my mum to enjoy sandwiches, savouries and cakes, baked and served and music performed by students. As I could join my mum it made for a very special afternoon. A big thank you to everyone at West Cliff Care Home. The carers, catering and activities staff, cleaning staff and management. All carried out their duties to a professional and high standard. Many thanks again from all the family.

This just one incident in many in the past few months.
Today mum didn't get a morning coffee. Lunch today was chicken curry or vegetable curry! No other choice. Dessert, was banana and pudding, when my mum asked 'what is the pudding' the person said pudding.
Obliviously the person did not know
what the pudding was or didn't understand English. Mum asked for toilet paper early morning and didn't get them until 3:15pm. Today the room has not been cleared or hoovered.
This is just one example of many in the past few months.
