We could not have asked for a better place for mum to be cared for in her final weeks.
All the staff carers, nurses, (and cleaners and maintenance) are a great team. They were friendly and helpful and got to know mum well to provide her with the care she needed in a gentle way with respect and
dignity.
Caring is a true vocation and Coundon Manor have employed people who are really dedicated to their profession.
They communicated well with me and always gave me time if I had any questions.
Great place.

During our family recent stay at this nursing home, she received exemplary care that was consistently delivered with dignity and respect. From the outset, she was fully involved in decisions about her care, and her wishes and choices were always listened to and honoured.
This gave her
reassurance and helped her settle quickly into the home. All staff, including the kitchen team, went above and beyond to meet her to meet her dietary requirements, with meals prepared thoughtfully and with genuine consideration for her comfort and enjoyment.
The end-of-life care was exceptional. Staff ensured her comfort and dignity, allowing a peaceful passing, while showing our family great compassion, kindness, and respect throughout her final hours.
My sincere thanks to all staff for making my aunt's transition into care smooth and reassuring, and for ensuring her final months were lived with dignity, comfort, and peace.

Coundon Manor care home provides excellent care for my Mum. Carers are kind, considerate and respectful to residents and relatives. Nurses are professional. The food is good and the entertainment ladies are enthusiastic and provide a variety of games and challenges for those that want to join in.
Lots of visits to the home are arranged (from Llamas to Elvis) and residents can go on trips out.
Facilities- A quiet room would be good

My wife has advanced dementia, and I am very pleased she is in Coundon Manor care home. I feel she is well cared for and I am most impressed from the people on the front desk through to her career's and the general management. I really appreciate you can visit at any time and stop as long as you
like.
The atmosphere is always good and I have always been made to feel welcome.

My husband has been a resident of Coundon Manor for the past 9 months and we have found them to be caring and helpful. Indeed some members of the care staff have been helpful when we have a new piece of equipment to learn how to use. We are also very impressed with the cleanliness that the rooms
etc are kept.
A great big plus is the entertainment. To see the residents faces light up when a singer comes or when they are taken to a coffee shop or dominoes are played etc is wonderful. There are members of staff who arrange these activities and they do a sterling job and in my opinion these ladies are dedicated to making the residents comfortable and happy.
A big hands up to the ladies in the offices who help when advice is needed.

We are grateful to the very caring and hardworking staff at Coundon Manor .There is a very warm and happy atmosphere which begins as soon as you reach reception and are greeted with a friendly smile .
The activity team is outstanding as they succeed to bring purpose and joy to the residents
I always believe a happy staff is the result of a good and appreciative management .
If we raise a problem it is always addressed

Can not fault this care home.
The staff go above and beyond for not only the residents but their families.
The care home itself is welcoming, spotlessly clean and bright. There is always a happy friendly atmosphere. The care given to my mother, who was in short respite care whilst my dad was in
hospital, was wonderful. We watched her blossom with all the attention she was receiving (mum has mild dementia). She was treated like a princess throughout her stay by all of the staff. My father then was lucky enough to return from hospital to convalesce along side my mum. The staff did their very best to ensure they were together in the home.
Mum and Dad are now, after a very roller coaster of 7 weeks, returning to their own home.
We can honestly say this is bitter sweet as we feel lucky to have them back home but as a daughter felt relief to know they were being so amazingly looked after whilst they were in Coundon Manor. I would totally highly recommend Coundon Manor Care Home.

Coundon Manor is clean and welcoming. My Mother can be quite demanding, and the staff show patience and understanding. Sometimes time between changes needs a look at as if just changed, and they soiled it can take quite a while and a few visits of staff before it gets checked as often the answer is
you are not due a change yet.

My mother-in-law is very new to the care home, but I am very pleased with the care and her room.

The nursing care is very good. The only issue is the food provided. No choice at all, you are just given some food every day. Always mashed potato and two veg, lunch and dinner, very boring. One day given a pasta bake with mashed potato and veg? You can't keep providing the same food every day.
There is no variety, also the same puddings every day. Plain, sponge, no custard but semolina? The food is very poor.

Staff care, clean, tidy, you can visit any time, any question can be asked, you're made to feel like part of family, they have high standards. I know my mum is being looked after and is having the best care possible. Better, 100%, than hospital.

During my mother's stay at Coundon Manor, she was treated with great care and dignity by all the care home and nursing staff - up to the point of her passing away.
I cannot speak highly enough of both the management and nursing staff at Coundon Manor.

Mum was discharged from hospital to Coundon Manor. The welcome she received was so warm. The nurses all gave exceptional care to Mum. They treated her with dignity and offered great support to us all when Mum passed. We cannot thank you enough for the tender care, professionalism and warmth offered
to Mum and us, her family. Sincere thanks to all the staff.

My mother-in-law did not know a lot of the time she was in a care home, but I always felt she was treated with dignity and respect at all times by the staff at Coundon Manor. She was in pain, but we knew the staff would meet her needs for relief in a speedy manner. PS, the room she stayed in, the
bathroom door could do with a coat of paint.

My mum moved to Coundon Manor in January 2023 and I have been pleased throughout with the care and compassion she has received. The staff from cleaning, hostesses, nurses, care assistants, maintenance, reception and management are all warm and friendly.

As I live in abroad I need to know my mum is left in good hands and cared for well. I have nothing but praise for the staff at Coundon Manor, they take good care of my mum and when I visit I'm always treated kindly and made to feel welcome. I'm of course sad when I have to leave my mum but I know
when I do leave her she's in good hands and that gives me peace of mind. All staff are stars!
