View Full Details of Colne ViewMy 94 year old mother moved into Colne View in August following a fall at home . We are so impressed with every aspect of the home. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and are very spacious. There are several lovely lounge areas where we are able to sit with mum for a chat and also a fabulous coffee shop. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and tidy . It really is home from home. We cannot praise the staff highly enough , everyone is so friendly and caring , nothing is too much trouble and mum has settled in very well. We would highly recommend Colne View, who have welcomed us all as a family. They have made the move for mum an extremely easy and pleasant experience. Well done to all at Colne View !
Absolutely love the home. The staff are so caring, friendly and very helpful, always ready to help out. Their training speaks volumes about their approach and how they deal with some very testing situations. I'm so glad that we moved my mum to this residential home as I can see a massive difference in her wellbeing. Big thanks to everyone who have helped and supported my mum so far.
My Mum was happy in Colne View. She was there for 11 years. The staff were wonderful and took great care of her over the years. They knew her well and also knew us, her family. We always felt very welcome. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Colne View to anyone.
My mum moved to Colne View when the effects of dementia stopped her living independently. She lived here happily for 11 years until she passed away 2 weeks ago. The staff are always very welcoming, kind and helpful and the care, love and respect my Mum was treated with over those years was excellent.
I visited my dear friend for the first time since she took up residence last month. Many reviews on here have praised the home and I would agree completely. I enjoyed the visit and very much looking forward to the next when I can take my little dog in to sit with my friend whilst we listen to the radio. I am totally reassured that she lives in a kind and caring community. Many thanks for your hard work
My mother has been at Colne View for a couple of months. My sister & I have found everyone very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's been a difficult transition & an emotional one but we feel we are understood with our concerns and listened to.
My sister was admitted to Colne View two days after being discharged from an area hospital in a very frail, fragile and unhappy state. She required dedicated nursing care and I was unable to provide that at home. It was a crisis situation for us. Colne View responded quickly to my urgent request; they provided a wheel chair, arranged a suitable taxi, and admitted her immediately. I was extremely grateful. They provided excellent care for what were to be - sadly - the last few days of my sister's life. She was finally pain free, her nausea controlled, and she was comfortable and at peace. She was tired and sleepy but demonstrably herself, even cracking a few gentle jokes with my son and I who were with her in that last day. I shall be eternally grateful to the dedicated staff who nursed her those last few days, and the administrative staff who made admission very straightforward, and to everyone who provided thoughtful and caring support to my sister and also to my family. Thank you.
There are a lot of activities for residents, nice coffee shop to use with residents and all staff members are very welcoming. Bright and clean environment.
My mother in law has been in Colne View for about 4 months. We couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention she is receiving. Her life has greatly improved since moving in, she goes to almost all of the activities and says the meals are always lovely. All the carers and staff are always pleasant and attentive.
Excellent place to live in lots of entertainment helpful staff if required.
I am very happy living here.
I love coming to Colne View, joining in the activities. I believe it is a very caring and friendly place. The staff are very friendly and I find it very uplifting to mix with the residents in their activities, including dementia choir, dementia dance, crafty nannas and daisy cafe.
I have been visiting this home for over 2 years now and have always been very impressed by the warm welcome I receive every time. The staff are very caring and always alert to the residents needs. The various activities are well thought out to cater for the residents needs. There is fun and laughter as well as a thoughtfulness for the residents. We are very lucky to have this Care Home in the area.
Only been here a few months. Very pleased with everything.
I am quite happy living here. All of the staff are good and activities are excellent.
A fantastic level of care is provided by all of the team in Colne View. They have really got to know my mum and what she enjoys and the staff make the time to make the her and other residents feel special.
The care my mother has received since moving to Colne View in October 2023 has been astounding. My mother lives with Dementia and isn't mobile, the staff are kind, caring and extremely supportive of her needs. They are also supportive of me as a relative, always happy to take time with me explaining what is happening with my mother. The home overall is warm and welcoming and the food is of top quality. Best thing we did as a family was to move mother to Colne View when she could no longer live independently.
I've always found the staff very helpful and respectful. Although not eaten in the home the meals always look very good to me. And always enjoy the coffee and cakes.
Staff very good and helpful; place is spotlessly clean - A good place to be.
My mother-in-law has been at Colne View for just over a year. Despite being bedridden and non-verbal, she always looks content. She is always clean, wearing different clothes and appears comfortable. All the staff are friendly to us, keep us updated and treat my mother-in-law with respect. We have peace of mind knowing she is being so well looked after.
