Friendly, welcoming, clean, tidy, lots of things for the residents to participate in. Good backup with information on the residents.

Good team, well done.

Overall since my sister in law first came into Colne View in August last year, she has been extremely well looked after at the care home. A very complex personality to deal with, all the staff associated with her have been excellent. We enjoy visiting the centre and are made very welcome by all the staff. It is such a massive relief for her family to know that she is safe, secure and being so well looked after. Thank you!

Colne View is a modern care home with amazing facilities, including cinema room, hairdressers, library, coffee lounge, small shop etc, but what really makes it so special is the care and warmth shown by all of the staff! To the residents and their families, making it a lovely place to visit. My sister has a few issues both mentally and physically, but the staff are very understanding and try really hard to accommodate her. We as her family now have peace of mind knowing help is always on hand.

I came to Colne View for 1 or 2 weeks, following knee surgery. I could not have coped at home on my own, despite having good neighbours & lots of friends. My stay has been excellent! Staff were all attentive, helpful and friendly. Food was good and varied. Going home tomorrow, with certain amount of trepadation and concern about my old cottage with its tight steep stairs, sofabed & loo at the ready.

Mum has now been at Colne View for just over 6 months. She was previously in a home in the adjoining town, and we did not have a very good experience.
However, what a contrast. I seriously can not fault Colne View in any area. Mum truly feels at home. The food, staff and activities are first class. Rooms are ensuite, and the whole of the premises is spotlessly clean.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Colne View to anyone.
Having looked at many homes, and our previous experience, there is no other place I would want mum to be.

Thank you to you all.

My mother lived at Colne View for 18 months. Sadly she passed away last week at the age of 96. It took her a while to settle in as she was a very independent woman, but the staff picked up on how best to handle her and she ended up being very happy there.

The care she received was exemplary and all the staff were extremely kind and caring.

Thanks for looking after so well, it gave me huge peace of mind.

My 94 year old mother moved into Colne View in August following a fall at home . We are so impressed with every aspect of the home. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished and are very spacious. There are several lovely lounge areas where we are able to sit with mum for a chat and also a fabulous coffee shop. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and tidy . It really is home from home. We cannot praise the staff highly enough , everyone is so friendly and caring , nothing is too much trouble and mum has settled in very well. We would highly recommend Colne View, who have welcomed us all as a family. They have made the move for mum an extremely easy and pleasant experience. Well done to all at Colne View !

Absolutely love the home. The staff are so caring, friendly and very helpful, always ready to help out. Their training speaks volumes about their approach and how they deal with some very testing situations. I'm so glad that we moved my mum to this residential home as I can see a massive difference in her wellbeing.

Big thanks to everyone who have helped and supported my mum so far.

My sister was admitted to Colne View two days after being discharged from an area hospital in a very frail, fragile and unhappy state. She required dedicated nursing care and I was unable to provide that at home. It was a crisis situation for us.
Colne View responded quickly to my urgent request; they provided a wheel chair, arranged a suitable taxi, and admitted her immediately. I was extremely grateful. They provided excellent care for what were to be - sadly - the last few days of my sister's life. She was finally pain free, her nausea controlled, and she was comfortable and at peace. She was tired and sleepy but demonstrably herself, even cracking a few gentle jokes with my son and I who were with her in that last day.

I shall be eternally grateful to the dedicated staff who nursed her those last few days, and the administrative staff who made admission very straightforward, and to everyone who provided thoughtful and caring support to my sister and also to my family. Thank you.

Meet the Team (1)

Cristina Iacob
Cristina IacobJob Title:Home Manager

Since qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2013, I have completed leadership and management training courses while progressing in my career from Clinical Lead to Senior Nurse to Home Manager.

Becoming a home manager was the proudest moment in my career. After years of frontline experience, it came as the result of hard work, continuous development and a passion for improving standards of care.

I previously worked for Care UK in 2018 as Clinical Lead, and I always appreciated Care UK’s values and the focus on high-quality, person-centred care. When the opportunity came to return to Colne View as Home Manager, it felt like the right time and the right place to take the next step in my leadership journey.

As Home Manager of Colne View, I believe compassion, integrity and the ability to adapt are essential qualities. A good home manager should inspire confidence, be solution-focused and create a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

My favourite part of each day is walking through the home and connecting with the residents and team. A smile, a short conversation, or just checking in on how someone’s day is going – those little moments make a big difference and keep me grounded in why I do what I do.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, cooking and taking long walks in nature. I also find reading and listening to music very relaxing.

I’m looking forward to working closely with the team to build a positive culture and ensure residents at Colne View receive the best possible care. I’m also excited about building strong relationships with families and the wider community to make Colne View a warm, welcoming, and vibrant home.
