My mother-in-law has been at Colne View for just over a year. Despite being bedridden and non-verbal, she always looks content. She is always clean, wearing different clothes and appears comfortable. All the staff are friendly to us, keep us updated and treat my mother-in-law with respect. We have peace of mind knowing she is being so well looked after.

Since mum has been on the first floor, she has improved somewhat. I believe her medication has been adjusted which has helped. She has put on weight and is looking a lot healthier. The staff always seem loving and caring towards mum. There has been an issue with health and safety due to trip hazards in her room. This appears to have been rectified since I have mentioned it. Mum seems happy and is a lot cleaner now.
Very pleased that my wife is able to stay with such a good team of people and care home.
I was pleased to find all staff most caring, helpful and considerate. Always cheerful and obliging at all times. Interesting activities offered every day and all facilities in good order. Thank you.
My relative has a lovely bedroom and there are nice spacious day rooms to sit in.
The home puts on excellent functions and we enjoyed the D-day celebrations very much.

My husband was moved here from hospital in November 2023. The care and hospitality he received was 1st class. The food was exceptional - In the last weeks of his life he received such loving care from everyone at the home, it made his passing so much easier for the whole family. Thank you to everyone!

Since my sister became a resident at Colne View 18 months ago, my husband and I have been regular visitors. Now twice weekly! We have found all the members of staff to be friendly and helpful with any requests or queries. I am impressed with the variety of activities available. The program often includes people from the outside community - especially school children. The staff involved are always enthusiastic. Particularly towards the residents. It is good to be able to follow these and the outdoor excursions on the website and social media page. With the bonus of mailing yourself a cup of tea and homemade cake, Colne View has a very homely atmosphere.

Very comfortable room that my mum is in.
Very well-kept gardens. My mum has been here now for just over a year, has settled now as is safe, well-fed, well-looked after and as happy as someone with dementia can be.

Meet the Team (1)

Since qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2013, I have completed leadership and management training courses while progressing in my career from Clinical Lead to Senior Nurse to Home Manager.
Becoming a home manager was the proudest moment in my career. After years of frontline experience, it came as the result of hard work, continuous development and a passion for improving standards of care.
I previously worked for Care UK in 2018 as Clinical Lead, and I always appreciated Care UK’s values and the focus on high-quality, person-centred care. When the opportunity came to return to Colne View as Home Manager, it felt like the right time and the right place to take the next step in my leadership journey.
As Home Manager of Colne View, I believe compassion, integrity and the ability to adapt are essential qualities. A good home manager should inspire confidence, be solution-focused and create a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
My favourite part of each day is walking through the home and connecting with the residents and team. A smile, a short conversation, or just checking in on how someone’s day is going – those little moments make a big difference and keep me grounded in why I do what I do.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, cooking and taking long walks in nature. I also find reading and listening to music very relaxing.
I’m looking forward to working closely with the team to build a positive culture and ensure residents at Colne View receive the best possible care. I’m also excited about building strong relationships with families and the wider community to make Colne View a warm, welcoming, and vibrant home.
