I found Colne View to be an excellent care home. The carers and staff are all very kind and caring, nothing seems to be too much for them. The facilities in the home are first class. The managers are really hands on. On arrival, you are greeted like a friend. Management has been a pleasure to deal with. This is a truly great care home.

It's a very traumatic decision to make when your loved one has to be looked after by others. From the first day, the manager and staff were concerned about me as well as my husband. The staff have always been thoughtful and kind. The staff keep me informed of any incidents or developments. The food is excellent and always a good choice. The home always has an approachable manner and nothing is too much trouble. All I can say is that we consider ourselves extremely thankful, that our choices were the right ones, supported by caring staff and management.

My lovely dad is a resident at Colne View. The staff are amazing, always making time for him which is crucial when living with dementia. They are all caring, helpful, helpful, happy and funny. Dad smiles at the girls and likes to play 'ball' with the lads. Great atmosphere. This is like my second home now. Thank you xxx

I originally came for three weeks straight from hospital as I did not feel fit enough to go home to look after myself.

Unfortunately just as I was due to go home I suffered from a sickness virus and felt quite ill for a week of so and my period of stay had to be extended. I have been cared for extremely well and much appreciate the help and kindness shown by all the staff.

Even though I was only a visitor, I was made more than welcome, I was kept up to date on my dad's medication and needs, also his general welfare. Everytime I visited him he always seemed to be with someone and I was made welcome, he was always smiling and happy. Overall, even though I was on holiday when I came back I sometimes think he had a better time than me. Very happy with the care home, staff and facilities and if needed, I would definitely use again.

My dear husband moved into Colne View care home in June 2016. The care he is receiving is beyond reproach. From the Managers, Nurses, Carers and serving staff, patients are treated with a warmth and respect, which I have not experienced anywhere else. He is always dressed well in his own clothes, and he is always clean and tidy. When I telephone to enquire about him, I am given a full report and given time to talk. The managers are really hands-on carers themselves. The office staff greet me like an old friend, with a cup of tea at the ready. This is truly a CARE home.

I found Colne View to be an excellent care home for respite care for my elderly mother. She was very happy throughout her time there. The carers and staff were all very kind and caring, nothing was too much for them. They accommodated my mother for all her needs. The facilities in the home are first class. It is welcoming, clean and well maintained. The activities for residents are varied and provide good stimulation. I would recommend Colne View Home for either respite or permanent care.

The staff have been very caring, not only to our Dad, but to the family too. They have gone the extra mile with his care, and he looks 100% better than his stay in hospital. I will definitely recommend Colne View. They have made this difficult time for us much more bearable.

I visit the home regularly and am always impressed with the cleanliness and the layout. I always see care staff interacting with residents and they are awlasy doing some kind of activity. In the future I would be happy to place my own mother here knowing she would be safe and happy in such a lovely establishment.

Meet the Team (1)

Cristina Iacob
Cristina IacobJob Title:Home Manager

Since qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2013, I have completed leadership and management training courses while progressing in my career from Clinical Lead to Senior Nurse to Home Manager.

Becoming a home manager was the proudest moment in my career. After years of frontline experience, it came as the result of hard work, continuous development and a passion for improving standards of care.

I previously worked for Care UK in 2018 as Clinical Lead, and I always appreciated Care UK’s values and the focus on high-quality, person-centred care. When the opportunity came to return to Colne View as Home Manager, it felt like the right time and the right place to take the next step in my leadership journey.

As Home Manager of Colne View, I believe compassion, integrity and the ability to adapt are essential qualities. A good home manager should inspire confidence, be solution-focused and create a culture where everyone feels valued and supported.

My favourite part of each day is walking through the home and connecting with the residents and team. A smile, a short conversation, or just checking in on how someone’s day is going – those little moments make a big difference and keep me grounded in why I do what I do.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, cooking and taking long walks in nature. I also find reading and listening to music very relaxing.

I’m looking forward to working closely with the team to build a positive culture and ensure residents at Colne View receive the best possible care. I’m also excited about building strong relationships with families and the wider community to make Colne View a warm, welcoming, and vibrant home.
