View Full Details of Westbury CourtThe staff here are incredibly kind and caring towards my Mum. It's nice to know that she's safe so well looked after. I honestly don't think I could have found a better place for her! Thank you so much
Mum arrived in May 25 and has settled very well. Loves the homely atmosphere, staff are caring and friendly, feels safe and secure. Enjoys socialising with other residents and joining in with the varied daily activities such as quizzes, arts n crafts, cooking etc. Her lovely clean room looks out onto garden, has en-suite bathroom and we have personalised it with her photographs and ornaments. Her new chapter in her life is now meaningful and happy, thanks to her home environment.
Westbury Court was my first choice for dad for months before moving him in. The manager ensured that moving my dad to Westbury Court was a smooth and positive experience. My dad is fully reliant on the amazing team after having a stroke but within days of arriving he was talking, laughing, relaxed and most of all happy. All of the residents are treated like the staffs family, treated with respect and clearly made to feel comfortable. All of the staff are caring and considerate, work as a team and all join in when they can. Even the catering staff get involved with the residents when they visit the floor. If you are looking for a safe, caring, comfortable and relaxed home with plenty of activities and where care needs are met, look no further than Westbury Court. Thank you everyone.
My nan's friend has been at Westbury Court for a while now and is still as happy here as she was the day she arrived. My nan has said multiple times that she would happily reside here. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone and the residents always look happy and well kept. There is always lots going on if the residents want to partake in organised activities. The garden is lovely and well used in the good weather, the only thing that could be improved is the garden furniture (which is a bit uncomfortable after a while). All the staff I have met are happy, polite and so caring towards all of the residents. Thank you for enriching the lives of everyone but even more so my nan's friend.
The Manager is very supportive, she will action issues pretty much as they arise. Deputy Manager isn't visible on the floors enough. My mother doesn't even know who she is after 5 years of residing there. The home is always very clean and the Head House Keeper goes the extra mile always. The care team work hard and are attentive. Receptionist very supportive and has a lovely professional approach. Nurses need to know more about meds they are administering. Activities needs improvement- not much use of local amenities and garden.
Although Dad's stay was short Jan-March 2025. He was very happy & comfortable in his new home. Right from the top, the senior carers, the care assistant & support team were fantastic, supportive, caring & had a great passion for what they were doing. They even made special meals for Dad as he was not eating. We cannot fault the loving care given to Dad in his final months. Thank you from the family.
I am very pleased with the way my son is being cared for. The staff are so caring and he never bothers them unless he has to. He laughs with them giving them lots of banter but they then give it back. There's one particular carer that he likes very much, and she treats him like a son. I will never stop praising the home and I tell everyone how good they are. I'm so pleased he was placed there.
My dad was with Westbury Court for 15 months and received excellent care. All the staff treated him with dignity and respect, as well as being caring not just towards him but towards us as a family also. The room and facilities provided everything he needed and were always kept clean and well looked after. I live several hours away and it was very reassuring to know he was in such good care and that the staff were proactively communicating any change in his wellbeing. Towards his end of life the home could not have been more supportive and understanding and I would like to thank them for everything that they did for my dad and our family. I'll miss my dad but I will also miss visiting Westbury Court.
My experience of Westbury Court Care Home has been absolutely brilliant. The staff are loving, caring and always have a smile. Knowing my husband was in such good hands gave me peace of mind. I sincerely recommend this home one hundred per cent.
Dad has been in the Westbury Court Care Home since October 2023. During his time the service provided by all the staff has been excellent in all aspects. I can't praise them highly enough and would like to thank them for everything they have done.
Knowing he is in good care. The carers and receptionist are always friendly and welcoming.
The staff are always very friendly and quick to respond to any requests. Mum is becoming more settled as time goes by.
Mum moved in at beginning of March but unfortunately has spent two of those weeks so far in hospital so it's early days. She has always been very anti-care homes so she is still 'adjusting' but gradually seems to be settling reasonably well given the circumstances. We have found all the staff very friendly, welcoming and the atmosphere is happy. The staff always manage to answer all our questions! The home is clean and bright. I am aware it is not easy, but I would like Mum to have a little more stimulation, particularly with things she is interested in - when she is not asleep of course! A lot of aimless wanderings seem to occur. I do find it hard to accept that so many of Mum's clothes and possessions go on regular walkabouts, some more important than others. However, I am aware this seems to be a regular issue with care homes in general but I feel rather sad about it. Unable to comment about the food, Mum doesn't eat particularly well and she doesn't comment.
Good care is taken of my mother. The food leaves much to be desired. (There is a company that caters for many care homes and has great feedback). Good food is necessary for health and well-being. Meals should be good enough to require no other food, this is not always the case. The carers and receptionist are always friendly and welcoming.
Since my mum has arrived I have seen a very positive improvement in her. She loves the food and the way the staff are so supportive. She really enjoys all the activities that are in place. Mum also enjoys being in the garden. In her previous home, Mum really struggled as was very low and always upset. Since February when she moved here, she had shown a greater belief and wanting in her life. Thank you.
From arrival to departure 100% care. No hesitation to recommend fully. I think one sentence says it all. Hand on Heart. If I know only a short time to live this is my dream place to expire. Every member of staff in the home is lovely and I will return when able. The manager is perfect and comes around every day. You should be proud of her.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The room is bright and airy, and the food looked delicious. Mum was very wary about moving from her own home, but she is starting to settle well.
Faultless, from arrival to departure. The staff at every level really good, engaging, and smiling, the home manager always makes an effort to inspect and is approachable. I'm 70, male, never been out for respite, but here I found it 101% perfect. I have no problem saying after my stay, if you are looking for respite care for an elderly mum or dad, I don't believe you will find better. My sincere thanks to everyone. Respect.
My mother-in-law regularly tells us how happy she is in this care home. The staff are all lovely and friendly and everyone there seems to be relaxed and happy every time we visit. There regularly seem to be a lot of activities for the residents. My mother-in-law also enjoys spending time in the garden.
I cannot praise the Westbury Care Home enough. We did not know what to expect especially as we have not been in this position before and the care home was chosen for us due to the circumstances of end-of-life care. It's hard not to have a bad preconceived idea of care homes but The Westbury Care Home is the total opposite, all the staff are friendly, caring, supportive and cannot do enough not only for the resident but also for the family. From the moment you walk into the home's reception, it is welcoming and it has the feel of a hotel the rooms are clean and furnished nicely and you are allowed to bring in anything to make it as homely as possible. Nothing is too much.
