View Full Details of Willow Tree LodgeThe staff at Willow Tree Lodge have been absolutely amazing from the very first moment we met them. The change in my Mother-in-Law since moving in has been incredible, she is really happy, has made lots of new friends. The Carers are so attentive. The atmosphere is always happy and friendly. The food is delicious. If you are in a position of having to move a loved one into a care facility I would absolutely recommend Willow Tree Lodge with no hesitation. I have never seen another care home like it!
The staff have been amazing. So kind, caring and make everything feel like family for my Nan. We as a family, have got to know the staff, which makes us feel more comfortable. The food, cleanliness are second to none. With this dreadful illness, the staff ensure that the residents still have dignity, respect and excellent care
Since mum went into 'Willows' with Alzheimer's, she's had excellent care from all staff. It's always clean and fresh, and a relief to know she's safe and well cared for. We are able to visit at any time of the day.
My mum moved here in 2021 and settled in straight away. The whole team here work together to make it a real home for all the residents. I especially appreciate the efforts of the housekeeping team - everywhere is spotless and fresh and residents clothes are always well laundered.
I researched thoroughly and then visited many care homes in the area for my 92 year old mother before deciding Willow Tree Lodge was the best around. My mother and I cannot praise the home and staff enough. The care my mother receives is second to none in my opinion. The staff deliberately make it feel like home and there is nothing that is too much trouble when looking after the residents. In fact, I truly believe that if it wasn't for the vigilance as well as the care she receives, my mother would not be here today. Not only do the manager and staff listen to the residents and meet their needs, they are completely open to listening to relatives too, and act in the best interests of those in their care. I think it says it all when my mother (who is now 94) had a recent spell in hospital and all I heard when visiting was "I want to go home" (referring to Willow Tree Lodge)! I do not hesitate to recommend Willow Tree Lodge for care of the elderly.
My family and I are so happy we chose Willow Tree for Mum. In our opinion, it is second to none. The staff, whether carers, caterers, cleaners and all others, are kindness itself. Nothing is ever too much trouble and always with a smile. Residents always seem happy and content with plenty of activities to occupy their time.
After a decline at home following Covid, isolation and early dementia, my mum's health worsened in hospital in 2024. I visited several homes, but Willow Tree just felt right - warm, calm and welcoming. From day one, staff said, "This is her home, and it's a privilege to care for her." And they meant it. Mum is a quiet, private lady, and the team include her gently, never overwhelming her. She's made great friends, chats with staff, and recently staff took Mum to Fareham to play table tennis and have coffee - table tennis she hadn't played since before Covid. Food is excellent, with fresh choices and homemade cakes. Activities, trips to pubs and garden centres, and community links all add meaning to Mum's days. As someone who's worked in care, I know outstanding care when I see it - and Willow Tree delivers it. With 30 beds, it's homely yet professional. Mum is safe, happy, and thriving - and visiting her lifts my spirits too.
Kind staff. Home always clean and tidy. Lots of different daily entertainment/activities. Our mum is well looked after and cared for. Staff always happy to help with any special requests. Always happy to make a cup of tea on arrival. Food is lovely.
The atmosphere of the home is outstanding. Modern and spotlessly clean. Residents are well cared for and appear to be happy and comfortable. Excellent care given to residents and the regular activities are joyful and stimulating for everyone. Highly recommended on all levels.
When the tough realisation dawned, that Mum needed to go into a care home, I was very worried about it, and rejected many homes before I finally viewed Willow Tree Lodge. I knew the instant I walked in that I had found the right home for Mum - the staff team were so friendly, warm and kind, and engaging with the people they cared for and their families. The atmosphere so welcoming, caring, and above all happy residents. The home is modern, safe and security conscious, well maintained, homely with lovely interiors, spotlessly clean and fresh. Before my mum sadly passed away, the team brought much laughter and happiness back into Mum's life, and made her feel extremely loved and well cared for. To see Mum smiling took a huge weight off my shoulders and I was able to become my mum's daughter again rather than her carer. The whole willow team, are truly outstanding, the home and its gardens superb - Willow is second to none, and I recommend it without any hesitation or reservation - it's amazing!
Dad has been at Willow Tree for a year and a half. All staff are friendly, kind and very caring, both to Dad and to us. They have always kept us informed of any little issues with Dad and are quick to respond to questions. Care is person-centred with dad always treated as a person with a history. Although he struggles to communicate, staff talk to him about his former interests and share a laugh with him. Thank you to everyone at Willow Tree!
Since March 2023 I have visited at different times, when you are greeted at the door with a smile. No smells, clean and fresh, such a pleasure to see. The staff take you to the resident, have time and care. I was at the BBQ afternoon, such a happy place. The love and touch the staff give to the residents, holding hands, the touch is so important. The rooms are beautifully cleaned, bathrooms also. A lovely dining hall and downstairs lounge, bright chairs and so comfortable. Everyone works so hard to keep these standards. The best I have ever seen.
An excellent care home with caring staff. Lots of activities for the residents to do. My sister loves her care home and can't speak highly enough. However, I do think there should be more outings if only once a month for a coffee etc or a little shopping.
This home is very good and looks after my mum very well she doesn't want to leave. The food is excellent and the entertainment (ie) bbq etc very good. The staff are always on hand to help her and very friendly even though they have a hard job to do.
My mother has been in the home for three and a half years and suffers with dementia. The staff have managed her condition with such skill and care that although she doesn’t know where she is Mum is incredibly happy and settled. I am always kept informed of her health and changes in medication and general wellbeing.
Nan has been in Willow Tree Lodge for just over two years now and has received excellent care throughout her stay. Always helpful and very caring staff and any queries the manager is always available to reply to an email! Thank you.
Every member of the care staff that I had interaction with were very caring to the residents and safety was the number one issue during these times. I visited every other day so can honestly say that I spent a lot of quality time at the home. The team work well together, under good leadership, for the benefit of the residents and it shows. It is hard to leave a family member in new surroundings but this has been a blessing and my mother has found her ‘new home’ and is very happy, which makes us happy! A great place.
I could not be happier that my mother is in Willow Tree Lodge. Visiting is a pleasure as she’s always so full of enthusiasm. As a lifelong lover of music and dancing, she particularly loves the entertainment and is usually first on the floor! The staff are excellent, very caring and fun, she loves the food, which is of a very high standard and the management team are great - always engaged and accessible. We have been very impressed with their handling of the difficult situation over the last 21 months or so!
Mum has been at Willow Tree Lodge for almost two years, her care has been exemplary despite the difficulties that the pandemic and lockdown have brought. Wonderful place, excellent staff and first class care!
My mother has been at Willow Tree Lodge for nearly 4 years. She has a lovely bedroom and is extremely happy there. The staff are very caring and attentive and she says they can't do enough for her. The chef is very good and she loves the food; of which apparently there is a choice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Willow Tree Lodge as I have been very happy with my mother's treatment. They have also coped very well with the pandemic and have kept our relatives as safe as possible.
