View Full Details of Fairways Care HomeStaff are always friendly and my aunt seems really cared for, there was an open day on August 16th friends and family of residents could go, it was a really good afternoon, food was lovely and the ABBA tribute was amazing. We looked around the newly decorated rooms, and they which were accommodating and nicely decorated, it was a really nice day .
My Dad was transferred to Fairways Care Home and All the staff have been brilliant with supporting him in his recovery and needs. The staff go above and beyond to help if anything required. Any questions our family have asked and support has been great. I would like to say a big thankyou from myself and family for your ongoing help,care and support you continue to deliver for my Dad. Thank You
My father came into this home on a crisis basis. He has mixed dementia and was a bit bewildered. The whole team was very kind, caring and took so much time to make him feel comfortable. Dad is now a permanent resident and he always tells me how good it is to be there, that everyone is nice and that they can't do enough for him. And the most important thing for me as his daughter is that he tells me every time I visit that he his happy to be there. I find the team are always friendly and care so much for the residents.
My mother moved into the care home November 25. At first she struggled adapting to her new surroundings but now she has settled down and is a lot more content, which is down to the excellent care she receives from all of the staff. On another note i would like to say how much all the staff make our family welcome when visiting. Thank you.
I feel my mum is finally settling into her new way of life. As I visit regularly, I am getting to know lots of the staff and they are all very welcoming. I did ask a few weeks ago if it would be possible to have tea/coffee-making facilities. I've even offered to bring in my own, realising the kettle must be PAC tested. I also appreciate that a kettle isn't appropriate for all residents, so maybe a fob for visitors to enter the Olive Room? The Entry. I appreciate that staff aren't always available to answer the doorbell but on the last two occasions, I have had to wait outside in the cold to be let in. A visiting relative drove over from Sutton on Sea and could not gain access as no one answered after 20 minutes. I usually end up having to ring the telephone number to ask for admission. Is there a way a doorbell could be fitted in more areas of the care home with an access button? The refurbishment is looking good, and we look forward to seeing what happens with the outside garden space.
My mother has been a resident at Fairways for the last 18 months and her care has been second to none. The staff are attentive caring and kìnd. Nothing is too much. All the staff have been welcoming to us as a family and we appreciate all the help and care given to my mother. Thank you for everything.
I feel my mam is in caring and excellent hands by all staff. They are always sincere and treat my mam as a person, not a number. I thank everyone for all they do to make her feel loved and at home. Thank you.
Lovely, friendly, happy place (most of the time). Staff were very helpful and non-judgmental. Liked that residents can wonder around whenever they want to. Liked lock door system. Lots of activities going on for those who want to join in. Always staff visible to chat to and would ring to check if unsure about your loved one's needs. All rooms that I saw where very clean. I give a great big thumbs up.
Our 90-year-old Dad was discharged from the hospital to Fairways in March. Sadly he needed end of life care. He had no dementia. The care and dignity he was afforded up to and including the time of his death was exemplary. The support we were given as a family was also notable and appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend the care given to our Dad. It was often above and beyond the expectations of a care home and more like that of a nursing home. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.They treated him with the greatest respect. Thank you to all of you.
