The staff here are caring, appear trained and knowledgeable and seem to have my best interests at heart. Accommodation is spacious, warm and very comfortable.

Excellent care from carers, nurses, handy men, cooks, housekeeping, indeed everyone. The compassion shown by every carer is outstanding. They care for mum with dignity. They've wllowed mum to feel safe and she is building lovely relationships with some carers. Humour is part of this. The recent
refurbishment is to a high standard and looks very stylish. Thank you. My mum has thrived at Kingfisher Lodge.

All satisfying. Apart from car part not big enough.
Knock the smoking shelter down an additional 4-5 spaces.

My sister has been resident at the lodge for 12 years. Her care has been exceptional.
In her final days this month, the level of compassion and care has been exceptional allowing the dignified passing of Lisa outside of a hospital environment.
The staff took on the whole family - nothing was too
much trouble.

I have twice placed my husband in your care home, the more recent as an emergency placement, as I needed to go to hospital unexpectedly myself. All the staff at Kingfisher Lodge, including admin staff and maintenance men, have known my husband by name and taken an interest in him. The care staff and
nursing staff have continually sought to engage my husband in activities and to improve his eating habits. The management team have also been welcoming and helpful. My husband has always been treated with respect and kindness. A big thank you to the whole team.

The staff at all levels are friendly and willing to go the extra mile for residents. The nursing expertise is excellent in co-operation with the excellent GP service. Food is excellent. Many rooms have a fantastic view and the garden is a wonderful place on a sunny day.

My mother has only recently moved to Kingfisher Lodge Care home. First impressions are an excellent home where my mother is well cared for by caring staff. My mothers room is large light and airy and she appears comfortable and has settled in well.

Very lovely staff. I was in pain when I came but staff were very attentive to my needs providing me comfort. Very good respite. My back is now less painful.

My wife and I feel so refreshed and much, much better for our respite break in Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home following discharge from three weeks in hospital. I have had a bladder cancer operation. We both had heart failure. The management and staff have been so friendly and caring. I would
come again and recommend it to others.

My dad has been at Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home for a little over seven years now and I can honestly say what a lovely home it is. All of the staff are lovely, very friendly and caring with a great activity team. The home does everything to make the residents part of the community too by
inviting everyone in, i.e. Halloween trick or treat and pumpkin carving which my dad's great-grandchildren loved doing with the residents, big smiles all round with the little ones all dressed up. The home also does toddlers once a month which is great seeing the residents interacting, I'm not sure who has the most fun, and talk about Christmas, they had Santa visits, a donkey come to the home, my dad loved this, they had a competition who could decorate the best lounge, school children came in to sing, the local choir came in as well as other singers which come in all year round, the activities team make sure all the residents go out on trips too, there is something every day and no one is left out. Well done Kingfisher.

I cannot be happier for Mum, she is safe, looked after well. Staff are amazing, food is delicious. In a short space of time, Mum has transformed into an extremely happy 97-year-old.

My mother has been, happily, a resident for over six years. She has received excellent care and support from the staff and they encourage her to socialise with the other residents and seems to benefit from the company.

I can't praise Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home highly enough. Originally, I came without an appointment and the manager was very welcoming and showed me around. A room was available and Dad arrived shortly after. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted and made welcome. The nurses checked Dad
over and then settled him in. All the staff treat him with dignity and respect and nothing is too much trouble. When I leave after each visit, I'm comfortable leaving him in their care. Thank you all.

Excellent! The level of care and attention given to my mum throughout her time here was wonderful. Every member of staff treated Mum so personally, having spent a number of days staying with Mum, I was able to see this was reflected throughout the home to all the other residents, some of which were
challenging. The friendliness and support afforded to Mum and my family were wonderful and so supportive at a difficult time as an organisation you should be very proud of this care home. I would have no hesitation to recommend them to others.

We sadly lost Mum at the end of June. She deteriorated over a period of months and during this time, she was so well looked after. The nursing care Mum received was exemplary. Her room was calm and peaceful. We were fully supported by the nursing staff who ensured her departure was gentle.
There
are no words to express our thanks to all the staff at Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home and we are so grateful this was our home of choice. We could not have wished for more.

Barchester Kingfisher Lodge Care Home is well-run, the staff are exceptional. My father is always happy, well-dressed (occasionally the wrong clothes!) Recent improvements meant the reception area is modern and welcoming (very good, homemade cake and coffee always available).
The home is a home
from home and I enjoy coming to see my father. The garden is excellent.
