View Full Details of Silvermere Care Home - Avery HealthcareMy dad has been made to feel at home very quickly and easily. The staff are friendly, caring and fun to be with. Dad loves the activities - especially singing! The dog fashion show was a fun engaging event for residents and family.
Silvermere looked after my father for nearly 3 years and made his final years comfortable and full of interest. I am very glad that he had their support up to the end.
My friend came to Silvermere for respite care. All the staff have been wonderful they are caring, patient, compassionate and happy. The food is top notch, and there is always entertainment and events going on.
I can't fault this place. Amazing care and fantastic staff. Loads of things to do. Very friendly and welcoming and kind. The general manager has been so amazing and helpful.
I have been very happy here at Silvermere. Everybody has been friendly, cheerful and all with a smile on their face. I have enjoyed the Bingo, and the entertainers and the film shows; served with tea and cakes half way through. The managers have been helpful.
Silvermere is an excellent care home with both myself and my wife being residents. Care for those suffering from dementia is outstanding as this tragic disease is so difficult to manage with various conditions. The staff are always caring thoughtful and gentle in spite of the many challenges they often face. As with any organisation there are occasional issues but these are always responded to quickly and carefully either by the senior management or staff when asked.. I could not recommend this Care Home highly enough.
I would like to experience the time Visited my brother. Everybody is extremely nice to me from the management to the worker. There is no word to explain the kindness and the compationate to Word and to word The patient. The workers and The Management trained very well How to deal with visitors and The patients- for future position. Thank You.
My mother has been a resident at Silvermere for over 11 years (she moved there in August 2013). We have had numerous managers and staff members over that time, some have been better than others. The current manager has really elevated the attitude and ethos of Silvermere. Both the residents and staff members seem so much more relaxed and happy. She is a terrific manager. We all hope she stays!
My mum is very happy here. She has a lovely room and the staff are very caring and responsive. The new general manager is lovely and very approachable. She mixes well with the residents and is getting to know them all and their needs.
I had a fall in my house and fell and broke my collarbone. I was living on my own. My neighbours came and helped me. I went to the hospital and my children decided to bring me to Silvermere. When I came here it has all been good. I have nothing but praise to give the home. The new manager has been a great help and I am happy.
It's a first-class care home. The staff is very helpful and I enjoyed the meals here. I would surely recommend this care home to all my friends. I feel that it was the right decision that I made to come to Silvermere for my stay and I feel now that I have got my strength back.
I have noticed a huge improvement in the general atmosphere here. In the past couple of weeks, so much more going on. Happy atmosphere, more treats in the kitchen all since a particular someone has arrived!
Before choosing Silvermere, I thoroughly researched care homes for my Mum, visiting over 8 facilities that often failed CQC inspections. Discovering Silvermere was a relief as it surpassed others in quality and affordability. My Mum moved in in 2013 and received exceptional care, feeling happy and safe due to the dedicated staff's efforts. They improved her well-being through proper medication and care and we're always in close communication with me about everything. The friendly atmosphere, delicious food, and high cleanliness standards at Silvermere distinguished it. When my blind Uncle needed care, Silvermere provided excellent support. Both my Mum and Uncle valued the caring staff, forming genuine deep relationships. My strong bond with the staff and residents at Silvermere over the years made them feel like a second family, with my Mum preferring the vibrant life there over a live-in carer at her home due to the enriching experiences and joy found at Silvermere.
After viewing various local care homes, Silvermere stood out to us as the best fit for my grandmother. Moving her to a care home was never something we thought would happen, but the staff at Silvermere made the transition as smooth as possible for her. Staff are kind, warm and friendly and very knowledgable. There is a real sense of community with residents being able to socialise and settle at their own pace with support. Nothing is too much trouble. They’ve gone above and beyond to ensure that my grandma has felt safe and looked after and supported us as a family too. The standard of upkeep in the home by far outweighs anywhere else. It has a homely feel and is maintained to an exceptional standard. The outlook on the grounds and the lake is exceptional and provides a lovely haven for residents to sit and enjoy the outside environment. Christmas and birthdays residents are always made to feel that extra bit special.
I had to find a care home quickly, without an appointment I decided to call into Silvermere. The receptionist directed me straight through to the general manager, immediately I felt reassured, the cup of tea also helped. My first question was I think I need to book some respite care, what do I do? The general manager asked me about the situation and let me talk. I left over two hours later with a clear plan in place, including an assessment the following day. I was there four days later settling in a new resident, starting with fish and chips for lunch - perfect.
My grandfather has settled in very well and the team were extremely helpful during this process. They wanted to know a lot about his life. He is very happy and settled.
I went with my dad to see my grandfather in Silvermere. We weren't too sure what to expect as he has always been against care homes. The staff would give my dad regular updates on how he was and what he had been up to. But actually coming in and seeing my grandfather happy made my day. Sitting chatting with some other residents about past events. It was nice to see my grandfather so happy. My dad said he was a very quiet man after my grandma past four years ago - never went out and never chatted with anyone. So thank you to all the team who made my grandfather's stay a great one and helped him be himself again.
Lovely place. Visited my aunty, and what a beautiful home it is. Very friendly staff, and everyone seems very happy residing there. My aunty has already expressed she is exploring to stay permanently. Thank you to the home team.
I have been visiting Silvermere for over five years now to see my friend there. He is now 96 and blind. I have always found the staff there very helpful and supportive of the extra needs that he requires, as his needs are slightly different due to his sight loss. The building is always bright and clean, and there is often music playing in the atrium, where they have a refreshment bar that is always stocked with biscuits, cakes, fruits, crisps, and cold drinks, including freshly infused water and two wonderful coffee machines that make really lovely latte's (amongst other styles of course). They have a good few open days per year, where relatives and friends can come in and share food and music or special events, like Christmas and Easter, and they always hold a fabulous summer BBQ party too. This really is a great time to explore the beautiful gardens there and meet and talk to the other residents and their groups. I would recommend Silvermere to anyone who needs a care home.
My father-in-law has settled very well in Silvermere Care Home and is enjoying the wide range of activities on offer. He has made friends and is never short of company. The staff are very attentive, helpful and supportive, and the facilities are great. He is very well cared for in every way. The home offers a very clean, tidy and happy environment to all its residents and is more like a quality hotel than a care home. My wife and I couldn’t be happier that he has found such a great place to live.
