Valentine's lunch wtih my husband, who is a resident. The room was decorated beautifully, little gift each, a lovely Valentine card. Food wonderful and pianist excellent. Attention to detail great. So beautiful to spend time with the people we love. They may have changed but love always shines
through. Thank you Orchid team - especially Beth, this is why you are 10/10.

Overall an excellent care home. We have tried respite in a few. We even had a Valentine's meal together with music & gift. So lovely. Would definitely recommend.

My mother is well cared for in every respect. Personal care, nursing care, activities and diet. Her personal wishes and personality are also taken into consideration and catered for each day. When I visit we can sit and chat on our own with a cup of tea and a cake. Such a difference to the worry of
what might be happening when she was in her house. We couldn't be with her 24/7. Now we know she is safe at all times.

My Step Mother has recently passed away after being a resident at Orchid for over 4 years.
During her stay there the entire staff have been nothing less than fantastic and have shown her so much kindness and respect through what has been a very challenging time.
They have constantly kept me informed
and involved in all aspects of her care and my wife and I are most grateful that my Step Mother was so lucky to be able to see out her final years at such a caring place.

Orchid care home gives me every confidence my sister is well cared for and all her needs are met. As a resident of the last few months, I am amazed at the number of activities that are arranged for the residents along with trips out for the more able. Nothing is too much trouble for any one of the
staff team from the management, carers, nursing staff and the behind the scenes staff. Everything is well planned and very inclusive.
Orchid is kept very clean and feels like a real home with lots of fun and laughter and as regular visitors I can say we are alway made to feel welcome . We are alway kept informed of any health issues or concerns and are confident that everything that is done is always for the best interest of the residents. We can not speak highly enough of Orchid Care home and in particular Rose unit from what he have experienced in the short time my sister has been a resident

My sister has now spent three years in Orchid Care Home. It has taken her a while to finally accept it as her home; that also includes my feelings towards the Care Home. My sister does not have Dementia. I have found during this period of time the nursing staff, the carers to be very diligent in
their observations and follow up actions where my sister has been concerned. They are a professional, caring, upbeat and friendly staff. My sister is actively involved in many of the activities that take her fancy. The Activities Co-Ordinator and her team are fantastic in their role. They arrange and oversea a variety of different activities. This includes trips out of the care home. This brings so much joy to my sister who is a very sociable person. The cleanliness of the home is very good. My sister's room is always clean, the surrounding areas such as corridors and lounge areas are also always clean.
The reception staff are warm, welcoming and so helpful.
The management are excellent.

Excellent care home, especially for Dementia patients.
Level of care and service provided is second to none.
The activities they lay on for the residents is well thought out and encourages the resident to relax.

Mum came in for respite but is now a full time resident,cannot thank everyone enough for all they do for mum on daily basis,the staff are friendly and always helpful,food is amazing,and just an all round wonderful place.

Mum has settled really well into Orchid Care Home and she is enjoying socialising in the lounge, during meal times and with all the activities she has joined in with.
It is great when I go to visit her as I can now spend quality time with her and she feels secure knowing that people are around if
she needs them.

Very satisfied. Feel my mother is well cared for, safe, secure and entertained/occupied every day. She seems very comfortable and happy within her environment and surroundings. The staff are amazing in terms of their care and friendliness.

My mother has been at Orchid for 2.5 years now and I cannot fault the care she has received or the facilities provided to make her life comfortable and as fulfilling as possible.
Her room is always spotlessly clean as is the whole building.
She is always in clean clothes and well cared for.
The
activities team are fantastic at coming up with new and interesting activities for the residents and spending time with them in a group and individually.

The moment you step in Orchid Care home you are always greeted with a warm welcome. The receptionist are always so kind and helpful,
Manager /Managers are always there for you if you have any concerns.
The care given is always very good and if you need anything to help with your loved one the
carers will always smile and help out, they are kind and compassionate which means so much when you leave and know your mum will be looked after

I can't fault the care Mum has received at orchid over the years. The staff really care about their residents and go the extra mile for them continually. Most importantly, Mum is very well cared for. Compared to her previous care homes, she's much calmer and more settled which means she feels safe
and comfortable. For such a busy unit, it always feels calm and relaxed.
The home is always clean and well maintained. There always appear to be sufficient staff who are friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Food appears good and plentiful for those with a healthy appetite. Mum needs to be fed but is never rushed, feeding is at her pace.
I'm always kept up to date about Mum's care. I'm unable to visit as often as I'd like but I trust the staff completely. This is Mum's third care home and I don't have to worry about her constantly since she's been with Orchid. Thank you.

I would like to thank the excellent nurses and care staff that provided such kind and loving care to my mother before she died. The care she received was exceptional and also the care to my family during such a difficult time.

My mother has been in the care of the team at Orchid for over four years now and has always been looked after exceptionally well. The staff and management are of the highest quality and standard; I could not have chosen a better place for my mother.
