View Full Details of Mapplewell ManorI like living here. There's always something to do. Love the entertainment and the church services. Happy home, great atmosphere. Enjoy playing dominoes.
Mum is very happy in Mapplewell. The team are wonderful and her care is first class which gives us peace of mind. She was sorry (sad) when sister left. She thinks having her tea at 16:30 everyday is too early and occasionally the coffee lounge is closed which means you can't have a drink. Otherwise all good. Many thanks.
Mapplewell Manor in my opinion is the best care home in the area, more like a luxury hotel. Everything you experience here is so good, the staff, cleanliness of the place, and the overall safe, calm and warm atmosphere is so good. There is absolutely no way you can fault any place in this home, well done to all staff involved. Keep up your great work efforts.
I live on the Woodlands unit and my husband lives on the Village unit. I was a Youth Club Leader at the Youth Club in Barnsley. So I am used to crowded places. I like the pleasant atmosphere here, people are very kind.
I am happy living here. My wife lives upstairs in the Woodland Unit. She is always there with friends. I have no complaints about this home; we are all family and friends. One possible thing I have noticed is that there are too many meals. By the time I have eaten one it's time for another, but I suppose that a good thing. There is always something going on games, quizzes and entertainers. This great for those who want it.
All very good. Great place.
I have been amazed and grateful for the way in which my husband has been so lovingly cared for in Mapplewell. Not only has my husband been given first class care, but I have found that my life has changed so since he became ill and have been shown such understanding of my situation, having no relatives anywhere, includes lack of children the staff just kind and given time for me. Everyone one is special when they enter the home. When I attended the funeral in Sandal yesterday I was looked after by four of them, kindness was just incredible, as my husband is in Mapplewell I am totally broken and I need people as your ANGELS and I certainly was cared for with Love and they helped me through the day and I know that my husband and I are more than fortunate to know and actually love people as your staff.
Mother receives excellent care and is loved and well cared for. Her needs are holistically met. Thank you to everyone at MM. I would like more cover in cafe bar if this were possible.
Really nice care home, pleasant atmosphere, very welcoming. Nothing too much trouble, lovely cafe area. Staff are really friendly and caring.
Visiting my sister is always a lovely experience. The staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcome. The home is always finding ways to entertain the residents and visitors.
I feel my mum is treated very well by all the staff in the home.
Mapplewell Manor is a beautiful home , decoration and furnishings are of a high standard .The home is exceptionally clean , the staff are always helpful and very pleasant .There is activities or entertainment on most days . Having the coffee bar is a great addition to the home .I would recommend to anyone who is looking for somewhere .
Comfortable respite stay - 2 weeks. Kind thoughtful staff. Food good - generous portions. Would recommend!
My father has been a resident for the past 2 months, in that time we have found the staff from all areas of the home e.g. office, coffee bar and all carers to be very helpful, and caring to both him and the family, everyone is vigilant and attentive to the residents. My father had a couple of falls and hospital visits, so he was moved to a room nearer the work areas of the carers and special measures put in place to minimise falls and to alert them when he was on the move. My father has settled in at Mapplewell Manor and loves all the team. Mapplewell Manor is a very clean, friendly and welcoming home. A big thank you to all the team.
I feel Mapplewell Manor is a wonderful place. I arrived un announced to get a feel of what the home was like, Straight away felt comfortable. A member of staff spent on hour with me explaining things about the home, answering all my questions and showing me round. Since then my relation has moved in and settled, the staff are very friendly and caring both to the residents and families. Mapplewell Manor would always be recommended by me.
My 79 year old father had contracted a viral infection whilst on holiday in Benidorm - He was transferred via a Medical flight to Hospital whilst he was assessed. I found the best place within a 10 mile radius of me, which was Mapplewell Manor. The place is lovely, clean and the staff are friendly. It's also very warm! I'm a great believer in "If you don't use it, you lose it" and I worked with my father doing basic exercises in both of the Hospitals and Mapplewell Manor - Chair Raises, Leg raises, Stairs, Knee Push Up's etc - Mapplewell Manor were very accommodating in allowing both myself and my father to exercise in the care home. My father is now coming to my home to live with me (providing he does his exercises) - He has got himself a personal trainer, who will work with him at the gym near me. I would like to thank Mapplewell Manor for providing a safe and warm environment whilst we did our exercises - My father stayed at Mapplewell Manor for 2 months.
We visited Mapplewell Manor looking for a care home for respite for my mum. Everyone we dealt with were friendly, helpful and courteous. We found the home and staff excellent and felt we didn't need to look any further and booked Mum in straight away. We attended an assessment for Mum and again were impressed with all the staff.
I'm very pleased with the care my father-in-law is getting, all the staff are great caring, and supportive. The room is lovely. He has been a lot better while being in Mapplewell Manor. His personality has come back, put on weight, and seems a lot happier. I am very pleased with the care my father-in-law is getting and all the staff have been brilliant.
My father moved into Mapplewell Manor in January 2024 and has been very well looked after from day 1. All staff are welcoming and very friendly. My father had a UTI recently over a weekend and the carers involved with organising medical care and ensuring he got the right treatment went above and beyond. Thank you.
My husband has had excellent care nearly all the time during the 20 months he has lived at Mapplewell. Only criticism is he wasn't always showered depending on staff present carers have shown him great affection. He has been safe, secure, and well-nourished. His personal care on the whole has been excellent. His end-of-life care was exemplary. Thank you.
