Mapplewell Manor provides residential, dementia, respite and long-term care for up to 87 residents in a modern, purpose-built setting in the heart of Mapplewell village.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac just five minutes’ walk from local shops and cafés, the home is laid out across three self-contained floors, each with its own dining room, lounge and kitchenette. All bedrooms are single occupancy with en-suite facilities, and residents are supported to personalise their space with familiar belongings.

The home features wide corridors for accessibility, a café bar for socialising, and on-site amenities including a hair salon, therapy rooms and landscaped gardens. The central Victorian-style courtyard, complete with a water fountain, provides a calm and sociable space, while the raised flower beds and wildflower embankment support seasonal gardening activities and outdoor events.

Lovely clean and friendly care home with fantastic staff. Mum has been there 4 years and overall her care has been excellent. Karen the home manager is only too happy to help....really can't fault it.

The staff are all excellent. They treat my dad like a member of the family. I feel happy to leave my dad in their exceptional care. The staff are always friendly and caring. They are proactive and support my dad to stay well and safe. They have got to know him. He is always happy and settled when I
visit him. I have witnessed the kind and calm approach that all the staff have with all the residents. It feels like a family.

My sister has been in Mapplewell Manor for more than a year. She seems to be entirely content with the facilities and the care provided. She enjoys the meals and has a good appetite. She does not participate much in the activities offered but I think this is due to her dementia. She is certainly much
better and safer than when she was living alone and looking after herself.

Excellent
We as a family can't praise this home enough .
Our mother went for a couple of weeks respite and then she decided to stay in permanently.
All staff are amazing very caring nothing is too much trouble all mums needs are met She is happy feels safe .The care home in many ways looks and
feels like a hotel we can't thank everyone for all the help,care and support they have given us.

Mum is very happy in Mapplewell. The team are wonderful and her care is first class which gives us peace of mind.
She was sorry (sad) when sister left. She thinks having her tea at 16:30 everyday is too early and occasionally the coffee lounge is closed which means you can't have a drink. Otherwise

Mapplewell Manor in my opinion is the best care home in the area, more like a luxury hotel. Everything you experience here is so good, the staff, cleanliness of the place, and the overall safe, calm and warm atmosphere is so good. I live on the Woodlands unit and my husband lives on the Village unit. I was a Youth Club Leader at the Youth Club in Barnsley. So I am used to crowded places. I like the pleasant atmosphere here, people are very kind.

I am happy living here. My wife lives upstairs in the Woodland Unit. She is always there with friends. I have no complaints about this home; we are all family and friends. One possible thing I have noticed is that there are too many meals. By the time I have eaten one it's time for another, but I suppose
that a good thing. There is always something going on games, quizzes and entertainers. This great for those who want it.

I have been amazed and grateful for the way in which my husband has been so lovingly cared for in Mapplewell. Not only has my husband been given first class care, but I have found that my life has changed so since he became ill and have been shown such understanding of my situation, having no relatives
anywhere, includes lack of children the staff just kind and given time for me. Everyone one is special when they enter the home.


When I attended the funeral in Sandal yesterday I was looked after by four of them, kindness was just incredible, as my husband is in Mapplewell I am totally broken and I need people as your ANGELS and I certainly was cared for with Love and they helped me through the day and I know that my husband and I are more than fortunate to know and actually love people as your staff.

Mapplewell Manor is a beautiful home , decoration and furnishings are of a high standard .The home is exceptionally clean , the staff are always helpful and very pleasant .There is activities or entertainment on most days . Having the coffee bar is a great addition to the home .I would recommend

My father has been a resident for the past 2 months, in that time we have found the staff from all areas of the home e.g. office, coffee bar and all carers to be very helpful, and caring to both him and the family, everyone is vigilant and attentive to the residents.
My father had a couple of falls
and hospital visits, so he was moved to a room nearer the work areas of the carers and special measures put in place to minimise falls and to alert them when he was on the move. My father has settled in at Mapplewell Manor and loves all the team. Mapplewell Manor is a very clean, friendly and welcoming home. A big thank you to all the team.

I feel Mapplewell Manor is a wonderful place. I arrived un announced to get a feel of what the home was like, Straight away felt comfortable. A member of staff spent on hour with me explaining things about the home, answering all my questions and showing me round. Since then my relation has moved in
and settled, the staff are very friendly and caring both to the residents and families. Mapplewell Manor would always be recommended by me.
