My mother is very happy with some aspects of the home. The qualty of the food is variable, my mum is a full fee payer and does not feel that the food reflects the monthly cost. The carers are very good and meet my mothers needs promptly and with kindness and consideration.

My mother became a resident on the 7th of September at the age of 89. During her stay she has been treated with dignity and kindness by everyone. The home has excellent facilities and a very dedicated and caring team of staff.

It is managed extremely efficiently and overall provides an excellent environment for elderly care. I have no hesitation in recommending it as an example of how care could and should be provided.

My mother, with mental incapacity and thus able to live alone, has completed six months at Mapplewell Manor. She could not be happier and appreciates how lucky she is to be in such a caring and stimulating environment. Her birthday party showed the home and the staff to be outstanding.

I have lived here for three weeks. I love my room the view is lovely. Water fountain and flower beds. I enjoy the food especially here especially the cakes and buns. I feel the staff are very good and they don't rush me and are helpful with everything, my two daughters would like to stay here with me because its like a hotel and not a nursing home. I haven't been to any of the activities yet, because don't like to mix, but I have promised my daughters I will try to join in.

When we looked round we made our decision straight away. The whole set up is fantastic and my family and I have made the decision after three weeks at staying at Mapplewell Manor. I would love to stay permanently. The staff are respectful the food is good always nice and hot. I would like a larger room is possible. I would like a larger room if possible. The entertainment is very good, classical modern and comedy all varieties of activities to suit everyone. I wish my family could stay with me, they do enjoy them visiting.

Mapplewell is a lovely place for my Aunt to be place.d Staff are caring and supportive. the environment is clean, up to date and inviting. The coffee bar is a lovely place to sit and chat. Although my Aunt doesn't take part in many activities they have a varied programme to suit all tastes. I feel very comfortable to know that she is well cared for.

Bright, well decorated, clean, does not smell. Very happy staff. Lots going on. Mum has only been here 3 weeks, whether it's because of the Christmas season but there has been lots of entertainment, plus residents have a printed sheet to tell them what is going on. Mum has been kept very clean and well fed. Her washing is done every day. Very good.
