Mapplewell Manor provides residential, dementia, respite and long-term care for up to 87 residents in a modern, purpose-built setting in the heart of Mapplewell village.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac just five minutes’ walk from local shops and cafés, the home is laid out across three self-contained floors, each with its own dining room, lounge and kitchenette. All bedrooms are single occupancy with en-suite facilities, and residents are supported to personalise their space with familiar belongings.

The home features wide corridors for accessibility, a café bar for socialising, and on-site amenities including a hair salon, therapy rooms and landscaped gardens. The central Victorian-style courtyard, complete with a water fountain, provides a calm and sociable space, while the raised flower beds and wildflower embankment support seasonal gardening activities and outdoor events.

This is a care home that sets standards for others to follows. Always clean, well staffed, very caring staff, good food. Hotel standard rooms. Whole building decorated to a high standard. My wife was a nursing sister and I think she gets the care she deserves.

My mother is a resident in the EMI unit. My mother is treated with dignity and respect. The staff are kind and professional. The premises are of a high standard and clean. Food is of a good standard and staff actively encourage my mother to eat and drink regularly.

The staff have built a good relationship with her and she generally responds well to them.
The general atmosphere on the unit is welcoming, friendly and comfortable and encourages visitors to spend time there.

The activities throughout December were exceptional. The co-ordinators have included all residents. Singers have been invited in; creating a lovely atmosphere. Christmas fayre and Christmas bingo. All residents enjoyed the events.

Good entertainment programme. Varied. Coffee shop gives a good atmosphere where bingo, quizzes, etc are held. Staff are always on hand to help, are friendly and kind to everyone. The care is excellent.

Mapplewell is a lovely place for my Aunt to be place.d Staff are caring and supportive. the environment is clean, up to date and inviting. The coffee bar is a lovely place to sit and chat. Although my Aunt doesn't take part in many activities they have a varied programme to suit all tastes. I feel very
comfortable to know that she is well cared for.

Bright, well decorated, clean, does not smell. Very happy staff. Lots going on. Mum has only been here 3 weeks, whether it's because of the Christmas season but there has been lots of entertainment, plus residents have a printed sheet to tell them what is going on. Mum has been kept very clean and well
fed. Her washing is done every day. Very good.
