Mapplewell Manor provides residential, dementia, respite and long-term care for up to 87 residents in a modern, purpose-built setting in the heart of Mapplewell village.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac just five minutes’ walk from local shops and cafés, the home is laid out across three self-contained floors, each with its own dining room, lounge and kitchenette. All bedrooms are single occupancy with en-suite facilities, and residents are supported to personalise their space with familiar belongings.

The home features wide corridors for accessibility, a café bar for socialising, and on-site amenities including a hair salon, therapy rooms and landscaped gardens. The central Victorian-style courtyard, complete with a water fountain, provides a calm and sociable space, while the raised flower beds and wildflower embankment support seasonal gardening activities and outdoor events.

Dining is flexible, with freshly cooked meals, 24-hour snacks, hydration stations, and regular themed events. Residents are actively involved in menu planning and mealtimes are a valued part of daily life.

My mum has been a resident for 18 months as she suffers from Alzheimer's. The staff are amazing and work extremely hard to ensure all residents are cared for with empathy and dignity. They also have a full-time entertainment and beauty therapy team offering the residents a full entertainment program
plus massages, manicure, facial and pet therapy.
This is fantastic stimulation for my mum and it really does put a smile on her face and a brightness in her eyes.
The support I also receive as a carer is so appreciated too.

I found the home to be welcoming, spotlessly clean and well decorated.
To me, it is like walking into a '5-star' hotel.
All the staff are happy, smiling and extremely helpful, there are always lots of activities going on.
Very welcoming to families with children.

My wife has been in here for 12 months and I visit every day. Mostly my wife is very happy here and me and my family are very happy with the care she gets and she seems very settled.

Mapplewell Manor is an excellent care home.
The rooms are luxurious and always clean.
The standard of care from the care staff is extremely high and the staff often go above and beyond the general care, for example, knowing my mum is a catholic they often say a prayer with her at night.
The activity
staff are continually arranging treats, vocalists, musicians, activities art/general knowledge, poetry reading.
Mum is 96 years old and lived in the home for three years and would not have reached that age without such dedicated care, I am very grateful.

The staff treat all residents with respect and have a high standard of care and understanding They always smile and greet visitors. I highly recommend this is the best place for a person to be if they can no longer in their own home

I first came to visit last October from London and we come up once a month now.
All the staff were very welcoming and full of great advice on what to say when my nana asks questions. I now have great relationships with a few of them, which is wonderful and gives me peace of mind between visits.
Nana's
room is lovely and always really clean. She seems very settled here and has strong relationships with all the carers.

There's a lot of new staff and residents which is unsettling for mum. The care from staff is very good and with her regarding food, she does refuse drinks because she doesn't want to be a pest asking for the toilet.
Staff are respectful towards her and the manager is nice but quite busy.
Mum likes
her room and is very comfortable. Mum feels safe and has no worries at all.

The environment and surroundings are very pleasant. My mum is a resident on the top secure unit and will now not go downstairs for entertainment.
Most patients on the top floor seem to benefit immensely from live music entertainment, unfortunately this does not seem to happen on a regular basis.
Some
of the staff have helped raise funds to assist this, but as a family, we would appreciate a little more funding being used in this area for the more advanced dementia suffers.

Rooms and communal areas are excellent. Staff are very friendly, caring and knowledgeable.
The entertainment is very good.

Mum has been here since February 2016 and found staff very good. She has made good friends and from being a very private and quiet lady, has come out of her shell and mixing well with the other residents, taking part in most of the activities.

My father, myself and my sister were treated with respect and dignity. The staff were happy, pleasant and nothing seemed too much trouble for them I cannot praise them enough.
The home was very clean and well run, I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It is not a good time for any family
but it was made a lot better and easier by all the staff.

Mum was approaching the end of her life and the wonderful staff at MApolewell Manor made it possible for her to stay in her familiar surroundings and receive all her care in situ. She was surrounded with the love and care of the Woodlands unit care staff and manager. The staff were very supportive of
us (her family) and made it possible for use to stay with mum until she passed away. She was treated with love, dignity and respect. Thank you to you all.

The care given to my husband over the last three years has been outstanding. All the carers have been excellent. They have cared for him with compassion and dignity and have shown a general understanding of his condition. They have offered me comfort and support throughout his stay.

My father has been a resident of Mapplewell Manor for almost three years. During that time he has received excellent care. His needs have been met in a caring, professional manner. He has benefited from the friendly interaction between the carers and has enjoyed the loving caring attention that has
been bestowed upon him. The care and attention to detail in caring for him has been excellent.
We, as a family, have been kept well informed of any changes affecting him. We too have also received friendship, compassion and support on an almost daily basis and have been made to feel that our opinions and feelings are important.
It is a happy, warm, caring and safe environment both for the residents and for visitors and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
