Mapplewell Manor provides residential, dementia, respite and long-term care for up to 87 residents in a modern, purpose-built setting in the heart of Mapplewell village.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac just five minutes’ walk from local shops and cafés, the home is laid out across three self-contained floors, each with its own dining room, lounge and kitchenette. All bedrooms are single occupancy with en-suite facilities, and residents are supported to personalise their space with familiar belongings.

The home features wide corridors for accessibility, a café bar for socialising, and on-site amenities including a hair salon, therapy rooms and landscaped gardens. The central Victorian-style courtyard, complete with a water fountain, provides a calm and sociable space, while the raised flower beds and wildflower embankment support seasonal gardening activities and outdoor events.

Excellent caring staff. They provide a loving caring home for my mother-in-law. Great activities and fun happy atmosphere particularly in the coffee shop. Nursing care and attention to detail are superb. They know and care for my mother-in-law like a member of their own family. Extras like doing her
hair whilst the hairdresser is on sick leave show how the staff go the extra mile.

I don't think Mum could be in a better place. All staff are loving, caring, bright and cheerful. They can't do enough for the residents. Mum's room is kept clean and today, how she would like to. There is always some activity going on as well. I can't fault the place.

The staff are welcoming and friendly. The premises are warm and comfortable. My friend had previously been in a different home but was not happy there and much prefers this one. She would prefer to be in her own home but appreciates that she can't cope with being alone. I've no information regards management
or costs as this is not something I have experience/knowledge of.

My mother arrived in February 2023 after seven weeks in hospital and rehabilitation after a fall. At ninety-seven she had until then led an independent life. The entire team through office, nurses, care team, cafe and kitchen have done everything possible with thought and kindness to settle my mother
through this unsettled time of her long life.

My mum has been in Mapplewell Manor for over three years. She is happy here and well cared for. She is shown respect and love from the staff. It's a beautiful home with good facilities. Only one issue - the coffee bar can be noisy at times.

My aunt was a resident at Mapplewell Manor Care Home for nearly seven years, where her dementia care needs were met wonderfully well throughout that time. She was always treated professionally with dignity and respect during her stay there. Most of all though, she was treated as a friend and almost
as a family member within the caring home community which I know she really appreciated. She always felt that the home was spotlessly clean and really enjoyed the food and activities. I know that she was very comfortable and enjoyed her residency and the friendships she made at Mapplewell Manor. I would like to thank all the staff for the care and compassion shown towards my aunt and would happily recommend this care home to anybody. Thank you, to you all.

My uncle has been a resident for eighteen months. During this time the staff have been outstanding. My uncle has a range of needs, which have been met with the utmost care and dignity. He has anxiety issues along with his health needs and can be challenging at times but the staff have taken time to
understand and adapt to his ways and by doing this have realised he has a great sense of humour, which means they often laugh and joke together. He also loves the food.

Our mum spent nearly six years at Mapplewell Manor. In all that time, she was very well looked after and treated with respect and dignity.
During her last days, the end-of-life care she was given and support the family received was excellent!
We have no doubt we would recommend Mapplewell Manor.

Mum has been a resident for 12 months, and after her initial respite stay for three weeks, then a further three weeks, she absolutely loves it. Did not want to return home, has always been happy and content, and care is of a really high standard. Meals are varied and adequate. Care and attention given
to residents' health needs are met to a high standard. Staff are always friendly and will help with any problems or questions.

When visiting the park in Mapplewell, Dad would say if he needed to go into a home it would be Mapplewell Manor, he liked how the home looked and the lovely outside spaces.
Whilst looking around the home for a period of respite, Dad made the decision there and then that he would like to stay permanently.
We agreed the home is beautiful, clean, spacious and the residents we saw looked happy. Staff were informative and very friendly and Dad loved that there was a coffee shop.
Dad's health was deteriorating and unfortunately he only had a few weeks there before he died. We are sorry we didn’t get the chance to get to know staff better but the staff we dealt with were lovely and supportive as Dad moving to a home was difficult for the family. More importantly, Dad spoke highly of everyone, he couldn’t believe how lovely the food was and told us he was especially pleased to be offered toast and tea when he woke up during the night.

My grandma had been a dementia resident since April 2019 until she sadly passed away recently. During her time at Mapplewell Manor she has received outstanding care from all the staff. We feel that they have treated her as if she were a member of their own family and we felt comforted and supported
by this. Throughout a really difficult time for us as a family before she passed away the staff could not do enough to help us all. They kept my grandma clean and treated her with the dignity she would have wanted. We are extremely grateful for this. The home is clean, decorated lovely and maintained well. Myself and my husband visited regularly and we will really miss our times there. I would highly recommend Mapplewell Manor to anyone considering.

Mapplewell Manor have cared for both my parents since before lockdown. Sadly they have now both died but the care they received was incredible under the most difficult circumstances. I comforted myself that apart from having the contact with me they would have wished for, they had every other single
need met and I knew they were safe, cared for and had social contact. Every member of staff that I have come to know as friends have given them so much, often working long hours but always with a smile. The home is beautifully decorated and we tended a little garden for Mum, my grandchildren called it Great Grandad and Great Grandma's hotel, and that stuck, it is a care home like no other I have ever been in. I will miss my daily visits and cannot thank everyone enough for allowing both my parents a peaceful and dignified end to their lives.

Mum became a resident during lockdown so we struggled with this as we were unable to go into the home to see where we were putting her. 8 months on we are really pleased with the care she has received from day 1. All the staff are lovely and seem genuinely interested in the residents and not just doing
a job.
Would definitely recommend the home to anyone in a similar position.
Unable to provided ratings on some areas due to COVID restrictions.
