We have tried a few care homes for respite since my husband had his stroke seven years ago, but this was by far the best. We hope to use their services again in the near future.

We as a family cannot express how amazing abbeygate manor has been. Mum came in two weeks ago on end of life, and we are talking the ambulance that took her there had to stop a few times as did not think she was not going to make it. Since she has been in Abbeygate the care she has received has been more than outstanding, it's a miracle and what they have been and done for our mum/nanny. The care she is getting is the best I have ever seen, not only for mum but for us the family. We are and will be eternally grateful for all you do. Thank you so much for your wonderful staff you are truly angels x

Thank you to Ben and team for the care and kindness shown to my husband in the 5/6 weeks at Abbeygate. Five star home. We enjoyed family meals together, he was always well dressed and shaved, and he said the staff were wonderful and cheerful. His every need was seen and taken care of.

Our mum has been a resident at Abbygate for almost 2 months. It was difficult for her to start with, as she had been independent for many years, but after a few falls became very frail and loving on her own was no longer an option. Mum has a lovely roo, with ensuite and patio doors that lead onto a patio. The staff are wonderful and treat mum with respect and dignity, and nothing is ever too much trouble. Any issues are dealt with promptly. She has her hair done at their salon every week, and a chiropodist is visiting her this week. Mum looks so well now, and it's a pleasure to visit her, she's more like the mum we used to have. Mum/we no longer have to worry about her being alone at night, someone is there at the press of a button. We are all delighted with her care. It's like a 5 star hotel. Many, many thanks.

Our experience of Abbeygate Manor has been outstanding, from the moment we looked round the care home, right up to our family member being admitted has been excellent. The manager was so kind, thoughtful, understanding and caring. This was a difficult decision for us as a family, and all the time the manager and his team helped, reassured us, which is what we needed. Without a doubt, they made the transition so much easier. The care home is so different to most in the area, a modern, no-smell, no clinical feeling, making it feel far more homely. Nothing has been too much for the manager, he has made calls to check we are ok as he knew we was very upset with this move. We cannot thank him and his staff enough. Would highly recommend.

First impressions of Abbeygate Manor and their staff are welcoming. The management were and are very helpful and understanding in every way. The receptionist is truly welcoming and helpful, thank you. All carers are very polite. I'm truly grateful to you all for taking the stress from myself.

We are so grateful to all the staff at Abbeygate Manor, who treated my Dad with great care and kindness during his stay. He was only with them for a few days for palliative care, but their professional and friendly treatment of us and my dad alleviated some of the stress we were going through.

My mother moved to Abbeygate Manor as her previous residential care home was not able to provide the nursing care she was going to need. It is brand new with beautiful interior design, furnishing and facilities and has a bright, friendly and welcoming feel. My mother was able to have a nice ground floor room with a little patio. All the staff are really wonderful. They provide all the help and support my mother needs at this point in her life with compassion and understanding, for which I am extremely grateful to each and every one of them. Communications are excellent and I am kept fully informed about developments regarding my mother's care. The management are very open and available to talk to about any concerns or suggestions and have been responsive to adapting things to meet her specific needs. I visit regularly and Abbeygate Manor is somewhere I am happy to spend time and equally confident when I leave that my mother is being well looked after.

We really feel we made the right decision moving my mother into this new care home. The manager couldn't have been more helpful, caring and very sensible. The staff are wonderful across the board and the facilities provided are excellent. Every detail with regard to the comfort of the client.

It has been a very good experience moving into Abbeygate Manor. The manager and all of the staff have been very welcoming and it has been a positive experience. I do feel that some of the facilities could be more user friendly - the toilets are very low and the shelf in the bathroom is too high. The food is good and staff have taken on board what I have said about portion size. It is lovely to be able to access my own outdoor space independently and I feel safe and supported by all of the staff.

Abbeygate Manor is a state-of-the-art nursing home, which exudes an atmosphere of calm, caring, friendly and safe environment. The staff are all excellent, and the management team is incredible. My mother has settled in well and is completely content with her environment and care,

Mum moved into Abbeygate Manor when it had only just opened. She could not have been more welcomed or cared for - the staff have been wonderful and the home is excellent. The food is very nice, and the activities have been great. Mum particularly enjoyed singing and going out for a walk. The home is kept exceptionally clean and tidy, and is very nicely furnished. All in all, we are delighted and we're sure Mum's health has improved under their care.

I couldn't be happier with Abbeygate Manor. My mother has settled in so easily and is loving her new environment. She has become much more involved in activities and is content to mobilise in and out of the many communal areas. The staff (all of them, without exception) have shown such kindness, care and compassion to her, but most of all, they give her time and attention. The decor is top notch, the place is spotlessly clean, and the food is wonderful! My mother loves it (and so do I!!).
