View Full Details of Appleton Lodge Nursing HomeMy wife has only been a resident in Appleton Lodge for three weeks but her care in all aspects has been excellent.
My niece arrived at Appleton Lodge for rehabilitation. I have found the staff and management very helpful and cheerful. I feel my niece is safe here and is becoming her more cheerful self, eating and drinking better. We are hoping being looked after so well, she will get well enough to return home.
Absolutely amazing home with lovely caring staff who go above and beyond. Food was amazing . The home is spotlessly clean and feels very family orientated. The staff are always smiling and caring. My dad was only there for 3 months before passing but my family take great comfort in knowing it was the best 3 months he had in there. I really cannot praise this place enough nurses the carers the cleaners and the chef.
My brother was cared for with kindness and respect. Appleton Lodge is a beautiful, quiet home. It has a lovely communal area for residents. We can't thank the staff enough for their help at a difficult time.
My mum spent the last month of her life in Appleton Lodge. The care has been exemplary. Every single member of staff has made a difference to both mum's stay and in making the family comfortable when visiting. The nurses acted with professionalism but also with heart and genuine empathy. The rooms are nice and large and the communal areas are very well appointed, welcoming and comfortable. I have nothing but praise for everybody involved in the running of Appleton Lodge, and I thank you all
I have visited Appleton Lodge a few times, and the moment I first visited , I could not believe how Wonderfull this care home is , The home itself is so clean and very spacious, The Staff are all very friendly and caring. When I go to visit a friend, she always says how lovely and quiet it is.
Since my aunt moved into Appleton Lodge, the level of care and attention has been superb. We clearly made the right choice. Top marks to all staff members for making her welcome.
My mother has just completed 2 weeks of a respite stay. She seems very happy. The staff are all very friendly and caring yet professional. She likes the food and activities. Her sight is such that she can't fully join in all the activities but she likes to go to them anyway for the social contact. She seems to me to be more alert than she was at her previous residence and I think this is because there is more going on here.
This appears to be a well-run establishment. The registered nurses are excellent as are most of the carers. My mum says the catering and cleaning staff are really helpful and kind. My mum has always appeared clean and well taken care of. Any issues are addressed quickly and competently. I have no concerns about the care she is receiving as it is of a high standard. Keep up the good work!
We are 4 weeks into settling in my 91-year-old Dad into Appleton Lodge. He told me this week... ‘It’s Tops here’ I think that sums it up, succinctly! He is being very well cared for; he loves the food and is enjoying the banter (which means more than any medicine!).
Staff are so friendly and helpful! Food is average. Love the other residents who are less able than me.
My mum has only been in Appleton for a number of weeks, the process was smooth and all the staff involved were extremely helpful and friendly. As soon as I visited Appleton I felt the warmth and care all the staff have for their residents, as it’s such a small home it felt like a family environment. Mum has settled well. Her room is very cosy always clean and has a lovely view of the downs.
We have been very happy with the whole process from initial contact, through assessment and finally getting my godmother settled in. The staff are lovely, friendly yet professional and always happy to help. The rooms are very comfortable and have a pleasant outlook plus the communal area is large, light and airy. If there is a downside, it would be a minor fact that my godmother likes her breakfast earlier but she does realise there are other residents that need feeding too!
I am extremely happy with the care my mother has received at Appleton Lodge. All the staff are very kind and supportive nothing has been too much trouble in helping her to settle in. Everyone works as a team and I have been kept updated with everything.
I cannot fault the facilities and the care my father is receiving, however, the main meal is not fit for purpose. When you opened that facility I understand that you had a chef who cooked the food on site. My father does not eat soggy vegetables or minced food. He has all his own teeth, has all his faculties, and does not appreciate being fed nothing short of invalid food. At £1500 a week as a family we expect something much better. One size does not fit all.
Appleton Lodge is an amazing care home. Not just a beautiful, homely new build, as that is only skin deep, but also in the love and care and dignity they give to my mother every day. She is treated like this is her home, and with the respect that a person who has 6 children, 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren deserves.
Excellent care provided for my Nan for a respite period of 4 weeks. The facilities are a lovely, clean, and friendly environment. Nan has enjoyed her time and has been looked after very well by all staff.
I found the whole process very easy. From viewing choosing a room and moving my aunt in took 6 days. Everyone has been very professional and efficient. So a lovely team, and I can now relax knowing my relative is receiving care and attention. She has settled in well and seems very happy.
We were so pleased to have found a care home like Appleton Lodge Care Facility. Amazing staff who always went the extra mile to settle dad in and cater to his eccentricities! The care home is small so all the staff can get to know each resident really well and are able to devote time to finding out what makes them tick (plenty of soup and ice cream in dad's case). We, as a family, were apprehensive about moving dad into a home and the staff were as good with us as they were with dad. The covid rules were the only issue and it will be good when visiting is unlimited again and visitors and residents can mix in all areas of the home. The rooms are lovely (we visited a few depressing ones before finding Appleton Lodge) and the general air is one of peace and efficiency. Dad always looked clean and looked after. The admissions process was easy, helpful, and efficient. Thank you to everyone.
My father has settled well at Appleton Lodge. The staff are very caring and friendly, making lots of effort to find out about my father so they can make his stay more enjoyable. The rooms are large and very nicely decorated. My father's room has french doors opening onto a small garden, to which we can add plants and ornaments to.
