View Full Details of Ashton MeadowsFollowing my spinal operation, Ashton Meadows Nursing Home was a short distance from my home. This made it convenient for friends and family to visit me. The care and support I was offered made my stay very comfortable. The nursing staff were involved in the care of my wound and the care staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The accommodation and facilities were top quality and frequently cleaned. I had access to a pretty garden via a French door. Altogether it was a rewarding experience.
After spending a couple of months in hospital, my Mum was moved to Ashton Meadows for palliative care, and we couldn't have asked for a better place for her to spend her final days. From the moment she arrived, the staff were incredibly caring, compassionate, and attentive. They made sure she was as comfortable as possible, treating her with dignity and kindness at every step. The home itself is lovely, fresh, clean, and welcoming. Friends and family visited regularly and were always warmly welcomed by the staff, who created a supportive environment not just for Mum, but for myself and my sister too. I can't thank the team at Ashton Meadows enough. Their care and dedication helped make a very difficult time more bearable, and I will always be grateful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, professional care for their loved one.
Very kind, very caring staff, particularly the state registered nurse/nurses in charge and the nurse manager. Food excellent. Nurses and carers very professional. Only slight issue, rubbish bin in bathroom not emptied for 3 days!
Our mother moved to Ashton Meadows Nursing Home at the end of February 2025 after a prolonged stay in hospital. My sister or I, or sometimes us both, visit her every day so we have very good first hand experience of the quality of care & accommodation, both of which we would rate as excellent. Very specifically all the staff at Ashton Meadows have taken the time to get to know our mother & us, which makes for a very pleasurable time there for her & a visiting experience for us. Having left hospital totally immobile, with the support of the dedicated in house physio, nurses, carers & activities team our mother is now able to walk, albeit with a zimmer frame & heavily supported by the carers - something we never thought we would see again. Our thanks to everyone at Ashton Meadows.
The care my nan receives is excellent. Every single member of staff in the building are kind caring and approachable. They have great activities and great communication relaying any information/changes to the family. We always feel supported. It is a beautiful building and has a wonderful accessible garden.
From the moment my husband was admitted to now, I know he was in the right place. His care has been amazing and the kindness shown to both of us has helped us both relax into this new situation. Your staff from the top down are of a high standard.
Exceptional. The staff at Ashton Meadows are consistent, loving, caring and have made a visible difference to my father since he has been here. He is brighter, present and looking in good health and the staff here have done a great job on him. Thank you to the Ashton Meadows team!
My mother-in-law has been looked after with dignity and we are so very satisfied and pleased with how she if being cared for by all members of the staff We feel every aspect is Outstanding in terms of her care her room is like home with her personal affects and keep beautifully clean Meals are fabulous and lots of snacks in between We as a family would definitely recommend
My dear husband moved into Ashton Meadows in December 2024. The care he has since received has been exemplary in kindness and professionalism, likewise our care as a a family too. The home is beautifully designed and feels like a hotel. It is very well managed and staff feel valued and appreciated too. I have looked at over 20 homes and am so very grateful to have found this one.
As I know the security code, I have a good experience visiting my friend & if I see any staff on the way to her room they are always pleasant. The carers are attentive if she calls them while I am there & are always willing to make a cup of tea, although the tea could be nicer. I do find the room very dark & feel uplighter would enhance the overall ambience of the room especially as my friend has poor eyesight & keeps the bathroom light on for additional light. I do have concerns of the food limitations & inflexibility of the menu offered. My friend loves her food & I often here about her disappointed meals. As a result I bring treats for her. This time it was spreadable butter. Please note as a friend of the resident I have only rated the ones relevant to my visit.
Ashton Meadows is the most beautiful care home with the loveliest staff. The home is brand new, very clean and peaceful with a cinema and a hair salon. The staff really care for my Mum and I never worry about her being in this care home with the excellent activities, the food and the general ambience. I would highly highly recommend it.
The care home is newly build and it is completed to a very high standard. It is spacious, clean, bright and all of the staff there are very friendly. They treat the residents there like their own family with kindness and warmth. All of the staff are always smiling and enjoying working there. My mum is very happy there!
The staff at the care home are very good and caring. They look after me well. I enjoy the food in the care home and they cater for my needs. I can only praise the care home for all the care they offer.
Ashton Meadows is clean, modern and comfortable, and staff are utterly charming and very caring - my parents could not speak too highly of them. Management processes seem mildly chaotic - perhaps because the home has not been open long - but managers are friendly and willing to engage constructively when there are issues. So it is all the more puzzling that the quality and quantity of the food provided is so inappropriate for people who are recovering from operations or illness. I understand this issue has been raised with the management in the past, but that after a brief improvement, standards lapsed again. Good nutrition is vital for people who are recovering from illness, particularly for older people. It is disappointing that this aspect of care seems to be neglected. The home received a very large number of 5 star reviews on another well known review platform before it even opened - curious to understand who posted these and why.
I found Ashton Meadows the perfect place for my husband. The staff are understanding, compassionate and treat each resident as individuals, learning about the things that interest them most and pursuing these to make their stay as pleasurable as they can. Help residents if they have a difficult day by distracting their attention to positive thoughts.
Stay was limited to 2 weeks following spinal surgery. Everything provided by Ashton Meadows was deserving of the highest praise. The only minor criticism I would offer concerns the food provision which has been brought to the attention of the management and from immediate action, an improvement noted.
The home is extremely clean. The staff are extremely helpful. They can't do enough for you. They are very attentive to the needs of my wife, and other residents. If there is a problem they always tell you immediately and keep you up-to-date with anything that is of importance to your relative. The senior management are also very helpful and assist you should you require any further information.
The staff and management have been exceptional. My mother didn't want to be 'shoved' in a home. She agreed to visit to see what she thought and one look at the home and time spent with the staff changed her mind completely. I want to thank that manager for being able to respond so quickly with the request for Mum to move in. I have no doubt it has saved her life. She is so happy now and her health has improved considerably with the attentive care and social contact she has received.
The staff have been very understanding and supportive of my mum's needs. The staff are very kind and helpful and communicate well with residents' relatives when in need. Very clean environment and also very safe. Nice space for residents.
