Ashton Meadow's has been amazing taking care of my grandad. The staff were so welcoming and helped my grandad settle in. His room is wonderful and he often comments on how lovely the food is here! Whenever we visit the home is always very clean the staff always extremely friendly and we couldn't of
asked for a better place for grandad to be!

My dad has been a resident for over 2 months, and to say that he is a different man since being at Ashton Meadows is an understatement. All the staff are polite, attentive and very caring. From the minute you come into reception, you are met with smiles and kindness. The best nursing home I've been
to!

My mother was placed in another nursing home and we received such a poor experience.
So we transferred to Ashton meadows
Such a lovely home. Modern, clean and delightfully decorated. The staff are amazing. Always ready to assist mothers needs.
And at the same time, asking myself if there is anything
I need. I could not ask for a better home for my mother to spend the rest of her days in.

Following a short stay in hospital, it was deemed unsafe for my Uncle to return to his own flat, and we therefore had to find the right home for him relatively quickly. Ashton Meadows was our first choice due to location in Kingston, but we quickly realised that it was the perfect home for him.

He

settled into the home very quickly, and we are grateful for this. Staff are attentive, the facilities are great, residents and also their families are taken care of.

My Uncle's needs are currently low compared to other residents, and his priorities are simply good food and reading his daily paper, so he is a happy man!

He has been residing at Ashton Meadows since end of September 2025, so we are still gaining insight into everything the home has to offer, so can not fully review all activities etc, but so far, we are very pleased.

Ashton Meadows took excellent care of my mother for several months before she eventually passed away.

Our whole family were impressed with how caring and professional everyone we encountered was. This was true in all aspects - medical, personal care, meals, activities, laundry, reception. And a special

mention for the cleaning team who are so diligent at keeping the whole facility immaculate.

We felt that she was always treated with dignity, compassion and humanity. Even on her final morning she was so well looked after. It was a great comfort to us that she continued to be washed and cared for.

The physical buildings and furnishing are great, but even more important are the people. The atmosphere is very positive - and it feels like the staff really work together as a team and care about the residents and their families.

We'd highly recommend Ashton to anyone looking for an excellent nursing care facility for themselves or a loved one.

Following my spinal operation, Ashton Meadows Nursing Home was a short distance from my home. This made it convenient for friends and family to visit me.
The care and support I was offered made my stay very comfortable. The nursing staff were involved in the care of my wound and the care staff were
extremely attentive and friendly.
The accommodation and facilities were top quality and frequently cleaned. I had access to a pretty garden via a French door.
Altogether it was a rewarding experience.

After spending a couple of months in hospital, my Mum was moved to Ashton Meadows for palliative care, and we couldn't have asked for a better place for her to spend her final days.

From the moment she arrived, the staff were incredibly caring, compassionate, and attentive. They made sure she was

as comfortable as possible, treating her with dignity and kindness at every step.

The home itself is lovely, fresh, clean, and welcoming. Friends and family visited regularly and were always warmly welcomed by the staff, who created a supportive environment not just for Mum, but for myself and my sister too.

I can't thank the team at Ashton Meadows enough. Their care and dedication helped make a very difficult time more bearable, and I will always be grateful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, professional care for their loved one.

Our mother moved to Ashton Meadows Nursing Home at the end of February 2025 after a prolonged stay in hospital. My sister or I, or sometimes us both, visit her every day so we have very good first hand experience of the quality of care & accommodation, both of which we would rate as excellent. Very
specifically all the staff at Ashton Meadows have taken the time to get to know our mother & us, which makes for a very pleasurable time there for her & a visiting experience for us. Having left hospital totally immobile, with the support of the dedicated in house physio, nurses, carers & activities team our mother is now able to walk, albeit with a zimmer frame & heavily supported by the carers - something we never thought we would see again. Our thanks to everyone at Ashton Meadows.

My dear husband moved into Ashton Meadows in December 2024. The care he has since received has been exemplary in kindness and professionalism, likewise our care as a a family too. The home is beautifully designed and feels like a hotel. It is very well managed and staff feel valued and appreciated too.
I have looked at over 20 homes and am so very grateful to have found this one.

As I know the security code, I have a good experience visiting my friend & if I see any staff on the way to her room they are always pleasant. The carers are attentive if she calls them while I am there & are always willing to make a cup of tea, although the tea could be nicer. I do find the room very
dark & feel uplighter would enhance the overall ambience of the room especially as my friend has poor eyesight & keeps the bathroom light on for additional light. I do have concerns of the food limitations & inflexibility of the menu offered. My friend loves her food & I often here about her disappointed meals. As a result I bring treats for her. This time it was spreadable butter. Please note as a friend of the resident I have only rated the ones relevant to my visit.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.844)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.844) out of 10 for Ashton Meadows is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 27 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.844 for Ashton Meadows is calculated as follows: ( (277 Excellents x 5) + (30 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 315 Ratings = 4.844
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ashton Meadows is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
