View Full Details of Aspen Manor Care HomeMy mother has completed a 16-day respite stay at Aspen Manor care home in Rutland. All the staff have been excellent, showing nothing but kindness and compassion to my mother who suffers dementia. They were patient and caring no matter what their role, everyone was so professional and supportive. Thank you.
My aunt moved into Aspen Manor in May 2025 and she settled well. She enjoys the food and speaks very highly of all the staff. We feel confident that she is safe and very happy.
Just an excellent experience of friendly, attentive and thoughtful care for my family member from the very beginning. The change in her since leaving hospital and moving to Aspen Manor has been remarkable, and returned her to her old self, looking well, clearly enjoying her time there and the care she has been receiving. Its the simple things that make the difference: friendly, smiling, talkative staff, who say "hello"; giving her some freedom and self confidence but watching out for her; good food; nice environment and room; and good activities and a real community feel. Even before she arrived the support and help we had from the customer relations officer, the deputy manager and all the people we met, really helped us in knowing what to expect and eased us through the process, which we were very new too. Since arriving the manager and all the team have been brilliant. Thank you all.
My mum has been in Aspen Manor for respite since May 2025. The carers really look after the residents with care and respect. Nothing is too much trouble for them, from bringing them drinks to ensuring they are happy with the food. Their clothes are laundered promptly and returned with a smile! As soon as you enter the building there is a warm welcome that remains throughout. l feel confident that mum is being looked after. In fact, when l see her or phone her she is often happily chatting to the other residents.
My grandad came for a respite stay at Asper Manor. He didn't initially want to come to a care home but the staff made him feel welcome. My granddad was treated with dignity and respect. I could not fault the attitude of the staff who went above and beyond to ensure he had the best day.
Staff very attentive, willing to help with anything. Always a pleasure to help. Nothing is too much trouble. We had a week's respite and I can recommend it.
My auntie and uncle have settled in nicely. They are obviously well cared for in all aspects of their stay. From what I've seen, the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and more than helpful. The rooms are spotless and there appear to be numerous ways in which they are entertained. Overall, very satisfied.
My mum was admitted to Aspen Manor for 6 weeks recovery following a fall and surgery . The care she received was excellent. The staff are caring and friendly, they are respectful and responsive and I felt that she was safe in their care. The home itself is beautifully furnished and the opportunity to have coffee together in the ground floor bar was lovely . The garden provides a nice outside space . The in house hairdresser a real bonus and lifted mums spirit . Mum did really well with their support and has been able to return to her own home. Should she need care again our family would be very happy for her to return here. Thank you
An excellent experience from the first time we went to look around and on every visit weekly. Staff and management are all very friendly and very professional, nothing ever too much effort. The facilities available are outstanding with even a weekly activity program run by two wonderful ladies. The personal touch doesn't stop there - they have their own personal hairdresser. Never looked back on our choice.
I had a one-week respite stay at Aspen Manor and the home was perfect in every way and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. I will look forward to my next respite stay.
Good quality support by well-trained staff. Accommodation is simple but comfortable and well-maintained. The food is appropriate and variable. I arrived with fairly low expectations but I was quite impressed by the effort constantly evident.
Aspen Manor is an outstanding care home in every aspect. It does not have the look or feel of a conventional home and looks more like large apartments on the outside and a modern 5-star hotel on the inside. My mum (who was reluctant to go into any home) loves it at Aspen Manor. She is treated like family by everyone and has made some great friends. I have seen how well my mother is cared for and she always sends positive texts about how well she is looked after. Her only slight critique has been about the selection/quality of the food. I would recommend Aspen Manor to everyone.
Dad was at Aspen Manor for less than 5 weeks. We visited multiple times a day and witnessed such genuinely caring people working there. The receptionists always gave us the warmest of welcomes. The senior nurses showed real care and kindness, they went above and beyond and were always on hand. The wonderful carers went to such great lengths to encourage Dad to eat and drink, which must have made a massive difference. The activities team often came to check on him and us, despite him being unable to partake in any activities. The brilliant and kind maintenance, housekeeping and office staff made an equally positive impact and we know the night and kitchen staff did so much behind the scenes. That so many came to offer their condolences after he'd passed away was incredibly comforting. It was clear they all cared greatly. I visited 18 homes before I found Aspen Manor. I'd been dreading moving Dad, the care he was receiving in hospital was excellent and the home he'd been at previously hadn't cared for him well. He settled in brilliantly and was so happy there, its outstanding staff, superb food and first-rate room and facilities.
The care my father was given was excellent. The care, compassion and understanding demonstrated by the staff helped reassure my father that he would be happy at Aspen Manor when he first arrived, and this continued for the fifteen months he stayed at the home. In his last few months, the attention to detail in making sure he was always comfortable was obvious and greatly appreciated by our family. I highly recommend Aspen Manor.
The home is very friendly and welcoming. We find the care given to my mother and father very good and the staff are very caring. We are always informed when there are any issues. However, we would welcome a regular update on my parents' well-being and care. Currently, we have to ring or speak to the home to find out how they are doing and what treatment they are receiving.
Staff are very professional and attentive from the receptionist all the way through to the cleaners. The Customer Relationship Manager is very approachable and hands-on, taking any queries on board and acting effectively. Mum has settled well and appears happy and content. As a family, we can relax knowing that she is being very well looked after. Aspen Manor is very bright, clean, hotel standard, modern, and a pleasant environment for the residents and their families when they visit, they even have a play area for the kids!
Every member of staff I have met at Aspen Manor Care Home has been kind, thoughtful, helpful, friendly, and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. They clearly care about the residents - and not just day-to-day care - but about getting to know them, what they like, what helps them, what makes them happy, and listening to their story. There is genuine affection when talking about those in their care. I was also greatly touched to see the staff treating everyone with dignity. This extends out to the families. Navigating finding the right care for a loved one is distressing, and they worked with us with such empathy, they made a stressful and unsettling time much easier. Any issues are dealt with instantly and with sensitivity and thoroughness. My own personal highlight was having a member of staff take time out of her day to locate some dairy-free milk so I could have a cuppa with my mother-in-law without triggering my allergies. Such small acts of kindness are invaluable.
Aspen Manor is a bright, modern care home with various areas for residents and visitors to enjoy. The bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily and residents become part of a caring, well-run community. The staff on reception understand the needs of the residents and cater accordingly. By 5pm the "front of house" staff finish and the evening staff have less knowledge of needs.
All staff helpful, friendly and caring, rooms very comfortable, and as much like home as it is possible to be. Activities available for those who want them. Food very well cooked. In fact a very safe place for anyone who is no longer as mobile as normal.
My wife was admitted for 1 week of respite care for her Alzheimer’s condition. This was the first time she has been at a care home. From her initial admission up until me picking her up 7 days later, she has received excellent care and support. The carers even managed to get her to mix with the other residents during meal times. My wife has not wanted to mix with strangers for some months now. The home is modern and spotlessly clean. All of the staff I met or spoke to on the phone were friendly, professional and were able to answer all questions. I will happily use this home again when she next has a period or respite.
