My aunt has settled In to Balmoral extremely well which I put down to the outstanding care staff who are all very friendly and attentive. We were very well taken care of from the minute we walked through the door, and feel that my aunt is in wonderful hands.
On arrival today, we very lucky enough
to experience the fantastic live entertainment in the brasserie, and were treated to some lovely drinks by the excellent host upstairs.
My aunt's bedroom is absolutely beautiful. The care and thought the staff put into arranging her personal belongings to make it feel like home is incredibly touching, and I know it means the world to her.
Deciding to put a family member into full time care is never an easy decision, but management made the whole process feel so much easier for us as a family. They went over and above, and nothing was too big an ask. Thanks again to the entire staff of Balmoral - I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a care home.

My dad's health was deteriorating and I needed to ensure he was safe round-the-clock. From our first visit to view, we were made to feel very welcome and that nothing was a bother. Dad really loved the surroundings, the staff were friendly but professional, and he soon moved in permanently.
At all
times, dad's needs were considered, making sure he was comfortable, safe and seen. Me and the rest of the family quickly got to know the staff well, and felt at ease if we needed to request anything, including alternative food or drinks for Dad.
Latterly, I spent so much time there I felt part of the family. We had fabulous support for dad's end-or-life care, which was very dignified and personal, and I can't thank the staff enough for their help during this extremely difficult period.
I would definitely recommend the Balmoral - it's not just a lovely 5 star care home but the staff are caring, thoughtful and kind.

My mum stayed at Balmoral Care Home for respite towards the end of 2025, having stayed for a week earlier the same year. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They've always treated mum with the utmost care and respect and would often go above and beyond our expectations to make sure her time in
their care was enjoyable and dignified. Thank you to everyone at Balmoral, you are a credit to the care industry which often comes in for much negative publicity.
28 January 2026
The standard of care is absolutely wonderful. My sister has come on leaps and bounds since moving in .The staff are all lovely and very attentive and all the residents seem happy .I would highly recommend the home to anyone .It's lovely being able to go upstairs for a coffee or a drink in such
beautiful surroundings with lovely staff .Robin the manager is brilliant and so helpful always .Nothing is too much .Thank you .

The staff at the care home are incredibly kind and accommodating, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Everyone throughout the home is welcoming and genuinely caring. The food is absolutely wonderful, with plenty of choices and alternatives always available. Most importantly, the personal
care is delivered with such compassion and to an exceptionally high standard. I cannot thank the staff enough for the warmth, kindness, and dedication they show every day. There is nothing negative to say at all, and I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home.

My mother has recently moved into Balmoral, everything was handled with the utmost care and respect. The process was very quick and was made easier for all the family, we felt the support offered to all of us during this difficult time was fantastic.
We are so grateful for all the staff at Balmoral
who are always friendly, know my mother well and always have a moment to talk to us about anything.
Her favourite things have been taken into account, whether this be the type of food she enjoys, her clothing or what she likes to watch on TV.
The nursing staff are amazing and have looked after my mother much better than any care she was receiving at the hospital.

My mum was in Balmoral for 4 weeks over July/August to give myself and my brother and sister some respite. She liked it very much there and in her words: 'It is a very good care home'. We were particularly reassured by the medical care and monitoring, and the quality of the overnight care - these
are what are most important to us. The food also sounded really good. My mum loved the brasserie atmosphere particularly and the friendliness of all of the staff - nursing and catering. Two areas that could possibly be improved a little - more organisation in the laundry (my mum's clothes got lost a few times), and more encouragement to do activities. My mum tends to need quite a bit of encouragement to take part in things but does love them when she does - so a bit more of that would be good - perhaps the teachers themselves could pop by the rooms to encourage residents? Or even arrange to do some 1:1s sometimes - this might feel more value for money and ensure physical activity.

Since first contacting Balmoral to enquire about possible respite care or long term permanent care for the person for whom I am Health and Wellbeing Power of Attorney I would like to state that I have been met with nothing but kindness, compassion and genuine support.
The front of house manager
went out of her way to help me. She was friendly, engaging and very positive. She explained what was available immediately and in the longer term and assured me that Balmoral could assist me in whatever route I should wish to take.
She was very patient and understanding as it took some time to negotiate with the person for whom I'm responsible that respite care then possible full time care was the best way to keep him safe and to ensure his continued quality of life.
She kept in touch throughout. The person concerned is now well settled as a permanent resident. All issues were dealt with professionalism and courtesy.
I cannot praise the front of house manager enough.

I am very pleased I chose the Balmoral nursing home for my Mum. The staff are so friendly, caring kind and thoughtful. The surroundings in the home are nothing short of five star. My mum loves the activities they put on and I am reassured she is well cared for at this vulnerable time of her like.
It's heart warming to see her so happy.

Putting our Mum into care was never going to happen, however, her Alzheimer's worsened and we could no longer keep her safe at home. It's been a rocky road for her as she had lived in the same home for 56 years and couldn't understand where she was. The nursing staff, the carers and the
hospitality team have all been so caring to her and make her feel safe and welcome in her new environment. The home is spotless and the bedrooms and communal areas are so inviting, and the garden is a huge bonus with many activities going on with our warmer weather. Communication from the nurses has been a huge positive for us on Mums more challenging days, they always welcome us and give us up to date reports either when visiting or a phone call. Mum recently suffered a TIA stroke, we had a call to tell us what was happening, they called an ambulance and sent a carer with her in the ambulance to stay with her until we could get to the hospital. We recommend The Balmoral 100%

I've been so impressed with every aspect of Balmoral. Every member of staff has been so welcoming and friendly, even those who don't know us.
I'd dreaded a time where we'd have to 'put Dad into a care home' but this doesn't feel like that at all. It's more like a 5* hotel & an opportunity for him
to live a far better life in beautiful surroundings with all the care he needs.
He regularly tells us how incredible it is - the staff, the food (he can even choose how brown he wants his toast!), and how spotless his room is.
We had concerns about an unwanted visitor, but the staff explained their process and handled it perfectly.
Dad hasn't taken part in activities but the schedule looks great. I'm still giving that a 5* rating as him not taking part is no reflection on the offerings.
The care has been amazing, and any health concerns we've raised have been dealt with immediately. Staff include Dad in every conversation and decision. I'm so thankful to have found you for him. Thank you!

From the minute we entered the building we were happy with what we saw + experienced. A nice family atmosphere. Spotless, sweet smelling rooms. Patients were comforted whenever they were distressed + food looked good plenty of it. My husband's medical care has been excellent and well attended. He
does not always appreciate this but we as family do.

The care my husband, who has had a major stroke, has received at the Balmoral has been exemplary. Dedicated, skilled staff at all levels in all roles and responsibilities maintain a calm and very caring environment. They are always good humoured and patient in what can be challenging situations. I
am always greeted by name and with a smile, and staff somehow manage to seem never too busy to listen, to reassure. There is on going observation and monitoring of my husband's health and an impressively a rapid response to several potential emergencies that required hospital admission. Strategies that maximise opportunities to improve existing health issues have been developed. The Brasserie has been a delightful place for us to enjoy some quality moments together at an exceptionally difficult time.
The Balmoral team are providing outstanding nursing care to my husband and outstanding support - for which I will always be grateful -to myself.

Finding the perfect nursing home for my aunt started with one phone call. Such a friendly voice answered the phone and a visit was arranged. Two days later my aunt was visited in hospital by one of the senior staff which was lovely. I had 3 criteria visiting nursing homes. The smell; how cared for
and happy the residents looked; how engaged and communicative the staff were. The Balmoral exceeded my expectations and we had chosen her new home! Within 10 days, my aunt had moved from hospital to the Balmoral and has been so happy and settled there from day one. We were welcomed with afternoon tea and kindness and lots of laughter. All staff have shown such care, compassion and encouragement for joining in all the fun and varied activities which are twice a day! It's amazing. The Leadership and their visibility and involvement with staff, residents and visitors is the key to this incredible care home. Whatever you ask, it's like a magic wand, its done! Always done with smiles.

In February this year, my husband required full time care, having a long term terminal illness and dementia. We assessed several care homes, and found Balmoral to be the best for us. We are very happy with the care and attention he receives from all of the staff.
The staff make everyone very
welcome and they know all the regular visitors by name. All are made to feel very welcome in Balmoral.
Due to his condition, my husband has had several hospital visits. He is always accompanied by a member of staff who stays with him and brings him back.

The staff and management at Balmoral are amazing. My father was previously a resident in another Northcare Home and when it came time for my mother to also need care for Alzheimer's, it was wonderful that all our family were remembered by the owners, manager and many of the staff. The transition to
care was difficult for my mother to accept but her individual and challenging needs have been met with kindness, compassion, professionalism and endless patience over the last eight months. That care extends to family members too as we navigate our emotions at this time.
I receive regular updates and can talk to staff anytime I need. The facilities and activities are of a very high standard, with my mother gradually coming round to participation. It is incredibly reassuring that my mother is safe and well, thanks to every single member of staff in every role.

I continue to be delighted with the care my aunt is receiving at Balmoral Care Home. She is as happy as she can be - as a frail 90-year-old - and, more importantly, safe. I have always been impressed by the extent of communication between staff at the home and myself: I'm the Power of Attorney. And
the hospitality staff are just brilliant: it's lovely to be offered a glass of wine when I'm visiting!
