View Full Details of Bletchingley & WellingtonStaff are always welcoming, kind and professional. They treat residents with dignity + respect, maintaining privacy when transferring them to wheelchairs etc. Dad looks well cared for and it's reassuring to see him smiling at staff + reach out to them for support. Dad is settled + calm. The cleaning team deserve praise, the home is clean + tidy and usually free from any unpleasant odours. The activities co-ordinator is enthusiastic and keeps us informed and shows us photos of Dad taking part in some activities. One small suggestion would be to add more sensory items throughout the home, both indoors + outdoors. Overall, thank you to all staff.
I unfortunately broke my shoulder and then fell and caused a tear in my rotary cuff on the other arm. I had to stay in hospital for11 days and then go to Wellingtons House for respite as I wouldn't be able to cope at home on my own.Wellington House was welcoming and made my stay a fantastic experience and not like I expected. My room was comfortable and clean with an on-suite and TV. The Staff were so caring and nothing was too much trouble for them smiling the whole time doing a difficult job. I enjoyed all my food there even though I'm known as a fussy eater. I improved over my stay doing keep fit etc and was helped in every way possible so that I was well enough to return home. It's great to be home but I can't thank Wellington House Staff enough and must admit I felt quite sad to be leaving as it was like leaving special friends. If I ever need care in the future I definitely know where to go.
An amazing place with amazing staff, they can't do enough for you. Whether you are a resident or a visitor. Although she wasn't there long, it was the loveliest place. She stayed in over the last three years and received the most care.
I visited my friend every week for the past 4 years, with only the odd exception due to covid restrictions, during which period I found all the sdtaff to be attentive, caring and helpful, led by a lovely person, who was always cheerful and positive despite, no doubt having huge responsibilities... Sadly my friend passed away on Masy 1st following a long period of declining health so I will no longer have a reason to visit this lovely establishment.
My sister has been in temporary residence at Wellington House for the past few weeks. She is now moving on but the highest compliment I can pay is that her biggest regret on moving is that she will lose lots of friends she has made among the staff and fellow residents. Indeed our own experience during our visits has been of very friendly and courteous staff at all levels, and that every one of them cared for their residents. Could we mention in particular the lady on Reception who couldn't be more helpful and friendly, and a credit to the Home! Given that it was a short stay our experience of the premises themselves was limited, but they were certainly very well maintained. My sister's room was pleasant and comfortable and perfectly adequate for her needs. Overall, we'd be happy to recommend Wellington House to anyone needing such facilities.
Mum was very well looked after in the three and a half years that she was there. Her care was exceptional, and our whole family were treated as part of the Wellington family. All the staff (everyone from the housekeeping team, receptionist, chef, care assistants, nurses and manager) were always kind and respectful and were there whenever needed.
Staff treated my mum with respect and quality care...couldn't praise the staff from top to bottom high enough. Have no complaints with the 3 months she spent in care her for respite. Would not hesitate to recommend the wonderful staff.
My Dad was in Bletchingley from 07/21 to 03/2/25. We & Dad had the best care ever. Cannot praise the nurses, care staff, domestic staff, admin + manager enough. We had 1st class care. My dads needs were v. complex + I think it would have been difficult to meet his needs elsewhere. V.v. clean + everything worked well, as it is a new build. It as always calm, welcoming, friendly to relatives, when your relative is in the home the family can feel quite vulnerable, this was absolutely not the case in this home. Never once did we get the feeling that we were interfering. Always appeared to be very well staffed, when he needed assistance they were there. Even down to the admin lady, she was so welcoming, relaxed and smiley. They treated my dad with respect.
My father was placed in the Wellington for rehabilitation for a couple of months. I can't thank the Staff enough for the care that they gave him. It's has a lovely warm friendly atmosphere. I was always greeted with a smile from everyone when I visited. They offered a great deal of activities and entertainment! Which My dad enjoyed. I couldn't of wished for a better place for him to stay.
The staff at Wellington were always very attentive, pleasant and polite. Their attitude to our friend was always the most caring. We were frequently offered coffee and biscuits when we visited! The room was kept very clean and at no time did we observe any soiled bedding.
The care that my mother received at Bletchingley & Wellington was outstanding. The staff made the last few years of her life as comfortable as they could be, they fully understood her condition and always acted in both a professional and a compassionate manner. The facilities are great, the home is very well organised and represents good value for money.
This care home has been phenomenal looking after Grandad. I was apprehensive when I knew Grandad was being moved to a care home but very quickly, my worries disappeared. The staff are what make this home so special, they were there to care for him, make him laugh and hold his hand when we couldn't. They treated him with love, compassion and dignity and supported us, as a family, in the same way. Trusting strangers with the person you love most is incredibly hard but knowing each time we left him he would be cared for by the Bletchingley staff made it slightly easier. Grandad loved the team here who became an extended family for him over the last two years and I am forever grateful to them.
Lovely home. Great staff looked after my mum so very well. Mum was very anxious going into a care facility after many years of being independent. As soon as she arrived at Wellington, she was treated with a warm welcome. She was encouraged to go out of her room and down to the lounge to socialise and join in with activities. This has really been a turning point for her. All of the staff are so kind and respectful. Mum was only there for rehabilitation but if she could have stayed there she would!
My brother has lived at Bletchingley for two years. The home is a lovely environment, always extremely clean with residents clearly well cared for. The rooms are light, airy and comfortable. The staff are absolutely lovely. All very friendly, caring and kind. I feel like it is one big family. They always make us welcome, bringing tea or coffee. They treat all the residents with kindness and respect. I feel that my brother is very happy there.
Unfortunately, my father passed away in October, however prior to that, he had been a resident for nearly three years. During that time, he was looked after to an exceptional standard, all the rooms and living areas were kept clean and tidy and you could be forgiven for thinking that you were in a friend's home when sitting in the lounge. However, for me, the big difference was the lovely staff and the level and quality of care provided. The staff are all very polite, well mannered and friendly at all times. They also ensure that a large variety of social activities are provided for the residents but ultimately, the choice is left to the individual to either join in or not, respecting their dignity at all times. If and when it is my turn to move to care, I hope I can end up in a place run to the same high levels and with similar lovely people.
I was admitted to Bletchingley & Wellington following a cardiac arrest and being displaced since I lived alone. The staff and management go out of their way to assist all residents, ensuring everyone is looked after. Tidy rooms, hot meals, excellent facilities and weekly entertainment to keep residents happy. Sad to have been shifted.
Unfortunately, I am not able to visit as often as I would like but my brother seems so much more relaxed and happy in his new environment due mainly to the lovely staff. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. On one occasion there was music and a m\le singer and it was obvious that the patients (and visitors) were thoroughly enjoying it with the tapping and mouthing the words. One lady, helped by a member of staff, danced the whole time, she looked so happy. You seem to have found the answer in caring for those that need that extra bit of care. Well done and thank you.
We have visited quite a few times and on each occasion we have found all of the staff to be so welcoming. There seems to be sufficient staff numbers for them to provide the care and attention that the residents need. It is nice to see that entertainment is provided which the residents seem to enjoy a great deal and provides stimulation to their brains and exercise to those who decide to dance a little.
I have been very satisfied with the way my wife has been looked after.
Mum spent six weeks at Wellington House for reablement after a fall and received excellent care and support throughout her stay. The staff are a truly wonderful team, they work incredibly hard but always manage to be cheerful and kind. Mum was encouraged to join in the daily exercises as far as she was able to and she was seen regularly by an occupational therapist. Her stay at Wellington House has enabled her to return home with confidence and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others in a similar situation.
