View Full Details of Camberley Heights Care Home - Avery CollectionA warm welcome. Security in place but not imposing. All areas are clean, bright & well cared for. Details to aid new residents settle in fully in place & support for family well noted. Cafe area appealing to visitors as are outside areas.
Helpful and attentive staff and always available with good service levels. Accomodation is clean and well maintained and the ability to dine in room as well as having a dining area is appreciated as is the menu choice. I think the food is generally good and there are always options for alternatives available. I think a lot of elderly people prefer well cooked meats and veg and having easy to cut up food is essential as old arthritic hands sometime struggle. Overall very good
I'm very happy here
My mum has just celebrated her 101st birthday at Camberley Heights and the staff made the evening celebrations in the restaurant very special. They were attentive as usual and the food was very good. Also, Avery organised a VE Day celebration yesterday and asked mum to be the guest of honour. There was an entertainer who was perfect for the occasion, an auction to raise money for charity and mum got to meet all the dignitaries. It really made her week. Thank you to all the staff involved. Some special memories made.
All the staff have been so friendly and kind. The home is immaculate. There is a real sense of fun and energy. The activities team is so encouraging. The food is great. Thank you for coordinating with the hospital and Wokingham mental health team and for making my mum's complicated move seem so straightforward. Highly recommend!!
First class in all respects. I feel very comfortable here and particularly enjoy the activities. The range and quality of food is first class. The carers are friendly, reliable and efficient. All in all a good experience.
My Mum has been at Camberley Heights for 5 months. In April the senior staff recommended that Mum move to a more secure floor as this would be better for her from a safeguarding point of view. The move was arranged in a matter of days and carried out in a kind, caring and efficient way. Due to this my Mum has settled into her new apartment smoothly. All staff knew my Mum was moving and have ensured a seamless transition. The staff are kind, caring, friendly and professional.
Camberley Heights has a bright, lovely and friendly atmosphere. Mum is settling in well and is very happy with her care. I feel that all the staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to accommodate my mum's needs, nothing is ever too much trouble. The range of activities available to participate in are amazing. The food is excellent with a varied menu choice. Thank you to all the staff for such a brilliant service.
My mum has been at Camberley Heights for 2 yrs starting on the nursing floor and moving to The Lodge (dementia floor). I dreaded the day she went into care but she has been so happy - the facilities are superb, the food lovely, the activities varied and most importantly the staff are amazing. Everyone is so caring and patient with my mum whose illness means she can't express her thanks, but I am so grateful - thank you all xx
My Father has settled into Camberley Heights beautifully with the help from all the staff who are all so friendly and nothing is to much for them. They make my Father feel so special and he is loving it. The food is also delicious and a different menu every day and highly recommend having lunch or dinner as this makes it even more special for my father. The activities are in the morning and afternoon and my father is really enjoying them which is important to get involved in. It is a pleasure to turn up and feels like we are going on holiday as the care home is so luxurious. Thank you to all the staff for looking after my father as he loves it.
We are delighted that our lovely dad has got a room at Camberley Heights Care Home. The facilities and everything we experienced during our tour, were beyond compare to any other care home we visited. Dad's admission to Camberley Heights and his time spent there since, make this 5 star review, genuinely deserved and if more could be given, I would. Dad had to travel over 200 miles to get to care home. We were helped and given advice with how to manage such a long distance move. Two staff members in particular made everything seem less for us. From the moment we arrive on the floor, all the carers know how dad has been that night or day and have an action plan and daily activities. I love how the staff engage with dad and they genuinely want the best daily outcomes for him. They truly care and are respectful about his dignity while being mindful about his safety. The food is delicious and this is really important for dad who had nearly 60 years of living with our mum, who was a terrific cook.
Mum has been a resident since November 2024. The care for her has been outstanding. I can relax knowing that mum is extremely well cared for and looked after. The staff are so efficient. I receive regular updates as to her well being in person or telephone call. The daily activities are so varied and lots of fun. She always tells me how lovely the food is and how very kind the staff are to her. Mum went through a difficult time which impacted on myself. I reached out to the health team for help and support which resulted in a meeting. All I can say is that they were there for me and my mum, such support and kindness shown by everyone involved. Thank you so very much for everything that you do. I cannot forget the reception staff, always so friendly, helpful, happy and obliging. Thank you everyone.
Moving my elderly parents into the Camberley Heights Care Home went extremely smoothly from the assessment on 31/12/2024 to moving into the care home 8th January 2025. The staff made my parents feel extremely welcome and made the move as easy as possible in terms staff introducing themselves to the excellent facilities at the home. It is always a hard decision to move into a care home but this is certainly been the right decision so they receive the care and the safety they need at this time of life. It provides myself who lives in Australia and my brother who lives in the West Country peace of mind that they are safe and cared for most importantly with dignity and respect. Thank you to all the staff at Camberley Heights Care Home who have helped my parents transition to their new home.
My partner spent 7 weeks at Camberley Heights and he received the best care by a wonderful, professional team of doctors, nurses and carers. They are truly amazing and provided so much kindness, support and dignity to my partner, myself and his daughter. I would highly recommend Camberley Heights.
My mother in law has been in Camberley Heights for almost 2 years. She has settled in very well due to the lovely staff that look after her. The entertainment staff are especially fantastic and take great care and attention of all their guests to include them and make them feel safe and at home. Thank you.
My mum moved into the care home on 16/09/2024 for Dementia care, and the care has been excellent. I have no concerns at all and am happy she is getting the best care possible. The nursing care on the dementia floor is remarkable, and Mum is very happy with them all. The facilities in the home are excellent and the food is delicious, we can eat with Mum in the restaurant which we do every so often.
Dad has only been in Camberley Heights Care Home for about 3 months, but in that short time we have both been very impressed with the facilities in the home, the care that he receives daily, the quality and variety of food, how clean and tidy the building is kept and all the staff from the receptionists, general staff, care assistants and nurses. Unfortunately dad is not able to take full advantage of all the activities, but the care staff are gradually getting him to leave his room and go to the restaurant most days. We have also both been made to feel very welcome by the staff and are updated weekly on dad's medical condition.
My parents are sharing a room in Camberley Heights Care Home and over the first month they have found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The Avery team were very keen to integrate my parents into the day to day activities and socialise with the other residents which has made my parents feel settled in a relatively short period of time. It was always a concern that they would struggle with the move from their house but we couldn't have hoped for a smoother transition. It is also a great place for us all to visit and spend time with my parents with lovely reception staff greeting you and offering coffee and nibbles. During our visits there are regular carers and nurses popping in and checking on my parents, even taking time to say hello or goodbye at the start or end of their shifts.
My mother has been in Camberley Heights Care Home now for 2 and a half years. She didn't want to go into a home but when I showed her around she fell in love, as its more like a hotel than a care home. She was moved to the Lodge in January 2024 as her Alzheimer's is progressing, it was a hard transition but she is very settled now. She always has a smile on her face and never complains about anything. She enjoys the food and has made some friends. The entertainment staff are an absolute delight and get mum involved in all the activities, the hardest thing for her when she moved in was finding things to do (she was not one to sit around watching TV) so I am eternally grateful to them getting her involved in activities. All the staff are very friendly and always keep me updated with her care needs.
