I am extremely likely to recommend to family and friends. My experience has been a pleasure to date. The room I have is clean and tidy with staff attending on a regular basis re furnishing and fitments. Incidentally I have spent many years as a finance manager in the care industry and so have experience as to how the system works. Looking at the ratings I choose to tick Good over areas.
I find Castle Brook very helpful and friendly. All staff are very willing to assist. Management, staff, reception care, and all are excellent. Sometimes laundry a little mixed up, but this is totally understandable. Overall - review excellent.
Arriving for respite, and intending this kind of future use. Being shown over other hoems within the group - visiting friends over years. Some so basic some 5 star hotel status. My care was care with love & attention. On recovery I planned my exit, but became ill again. They really cared. I could have full time care at home, which we previously arranged or Castle Brook, ( I was not being able to walk as usual) Castle Brook does it all admirably.
I thoroughly recommend Castle Brook as a care home. The staff are always helpful and friendly in their approach. The care home is a very welcoming place to all who uses its service. Its what all care home should inspire to me, friendly, welcoming and above all very professional. Keep up the good work Castle Brook.
Max and I were thrilled to be upgraded to a larger flat together with small patio on the lower floor of Castle Brook. We were helped in the move by TSI together with use of a trolley. The whole process took about 3 trolley loads to transfer all of 'our worldly goods' without a moan or a groan from TSI, finishing early afternoon, 29 September. When we arrived I was amazed TSI had set out the flat - designer style! I told her she would make a good designer! I have had interest in art & design throughout my life. She is a lovely expressive young woman, full of joy & willing member. She also has a pretty singing voice. Many thanks to all for their help.
Castle Brook is a welcoming care home. Staff are able to give feedback about my dad when I visit - if there are any issues, these are dealt with efficiently. Dad is generally happy and settling in well.
Always a pleasure to come and visit my father. All the staff are so pleasant and helpful.
My grandad is made very welcome by the friendly, caring staff who are always smiling and singing along to his songs with him! It's lovely to see how everybody knows his name. His personal needs are taken care of with dignity, and it means the world to know that he is safe and taken care of. He enjoys his food and the brilliant facilities - especially the coffee shop, hairdressers and table tennis!
Environment clean + tidy. Care on merlon excellent. Staff work really hard and genuinely care. Main reason for writing was that care of my mum when dying was textbook standard. Its a family at Castle Brook and relatives are also treated as family, another family member had to move up north and they all say about the new home. Its not Castle Brooke.
My mum needed urgent respite care after a fall. The care and love she received exceeded all our hopes and expectations. From the receptionist to the caterers, every staff member was professional, warm and welcoming. The standard of care is high and the food served is delicious.
I have lived at Castle Brook for four years. Since my first day here, I have been very happy. I have never experienced anything but love and kindness from all staff and management. I hope the spend my days here until the end of my life.
My stay at Castle Brook was for 'respite' which was a very pleasant one. The respite stay was from 11th July to 20th July 2024. The stay was that of a 'hotel' lovely bedroom with en-suite, and the staff, food and quality of care were first class. The staff looked after me very well which made the whole respite experience a happy and pleasant one. If in the future I require respite care Castle Brook will be my first choice of care home to stay. My thanks to all involved.
Staff at Castlebrook have managed my mum's behaviour with diligence and patience doing everything they can to ensure that her dignity and safety are maintained and respected. The communication has been excellent.
My dad came to Castle Brook when he could no longer live at home safely, it has taken a while for him to adjust. But he has finally settled and is happy. Being in contact with the staff and the floor manager has put my mind at ease when I have my worries, that has been a great comfort. I know my father is well looked after and he knows that he is safe which is a big thing for him. I applaud the staff that work so hard. And all the Castle Brook team.
First impressions when my mother was taken into care at Castle Brook was good and since has moved to be impressive. I can only applaud all the staff we come into contact with, they seem diligent, caring and have the well-being of Mother at the forefront. The home's environment is fresh, welcoming and open, a credit to all that provide the support. Her care manager is an impressive individual who shows dedication and empathy to help those in her charge.
Every time I come up and visit Castle Brook I am so impressed by how lovely and kind the staff are. The residents look so at home and relaxed and a beautiful environment for them to live in. My dad comes daily to visit his wife and stays all day and has been made so welcome by all the staff, it is a blessing he can spend this quality time with her here. Many thanks.
An excellent place. Very beautiful people and care, so grateful this precious lady is taken good care of at this stage of her eventful life. Thank you so much.
The staff at Castle Brook have supported my mother since the summer. My mother was transferred to the care home from hospital, due to having a fall which significantly impacted her mobility. The staff at Castle Brook showed my mother and our family great compassion at a time that was very worrying for us. They attended to my mother’s needs and listened to us as a family, by taking into consideration the goals that we hoped to achieve during my mother’s stay. With their support, my mother is back on her feet. We were grateful that the staff encouraged her to spend time with others and socialise, which she had missed out on since being in hospital. Most importantly, the staff considered my mother’s cultural needs and adapted care where possible to meet those. There are great facilities at Castle Brook, and we particularly valued how flexibly we could visit and spend time with my mother. As a family, we cannot thank the management and the staff anymore for all their help and support.
So happy that we found the right place for my wife who has dementia. It seemed unlikely that we would and that she would settle but she has and appears calmer and happier than for some time. The assessment procedure was carried out with great skill and the move-in went very smoothly with great support from staff. The design of the building is excellent... lots of light, space and quiet corners and she enjoys the activities especially the singing sessions. One of the key strengths is the staff who seem happy to be there and act as a supportive team across the board. They have a very caring and attentive ethos and are responsive to requests and questions. They are also well managed and all this gives me confidence in what has been for both of us a major change. Any problems are picked up and effectively dealt with and notes on the portal help give an understanding of the daily care. The staff and the village approach give a positive and cheerful feel which lifts spirits all round.
My father has settled really well at Castle Brook. The facilities are excellent, and all the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The staff in Crenel House have been very understanding and supportive of my father and the family, helping us all adjust to his changing needs.
