We would like to express our thanks to all the staff at Castle Brook, especially his male carer who showed him care and was so very dedicated to his job (this didn't go unnoticed).

First impressions WOW, went to visit my grandad and the atmosphere was calm and cozy, staff were friendly and helpful, facilities are great! Communal spaces and rooms are modern, I would recommend this home to everyone, I've not seen attention to care like this in any care home.

My Mum went into Castle Brook in December 2024 as she was struggling by herself and I was finding it more and moe diffcult to keep her going from a distance, she found keeping the house going and just feeding here self was too much and health deteriating. I placed her in for 14 day break while I took a holiday and she did not want to come out, loved it. totally new life, lovely staff that she has made friends with, eating good home cooked food her heath bounded back and it has taken all the pressure off me. She walks everyday in the garden and in warmer weather in the woods opposite, she visits Kenilworth regualrly as taxi is cheap as very close. Staff are her favourite, they genuinely care for all the people, in fact I have got to know quite a few of them now. I have been amazed about mums turn around and how they make all efforts for residents to lead as independant lives as they can, and yet if not well there to hold her hand and just chat. They take her on group trips, which she loves.

I have been looking after my Aunt at Castle Brook in Kenilworth for 5 years. The room my Aunt has was beautifully decorated with ensuite, very suitable. The food is good and the cleanliness too. But above everything are the staff. Many staff go above and beyond in caring for every tiny detail my Aunt required. Wonderful staff settled her in, a whole team tried to get all her wishes sorted and certain staff she really trusted worked endlessly to make her happy. Thank you so much.

I have resided here now just over a year, and I have been cared for at all times with kindness and a kind, encouraging hug in times of need. Sometimes have been an awkward resident, but cared for with grace. The food is good, and quite a few treats (I like sometimes to help) tolerated with their help. We have a beautiful wall along a brook, with garden, fountain, chair and tables for rest and activity. Outings to interesting places, and great care. Three activities a day, seven days a week.

No problem here.

On the day of my arrival, I was greeted by friendly, smiley reception staff who soon made me feel welcome, and I was introduced to many staff members, all of whom were very jolly and friendly. Since that first day, I've been extremely well cared for. Everyone at Castle Brook has been so kind, caring and supportive not only to me, but to my family and friends. I couldn't wish for a better care home to live in.

A warm, friendly and welcoming environment where all are treated with respect and dignity. Everyone smiles, staff, residents and visitors. Residents are recognised as individuals and given space and encouragement to be themselves.
I like the variety of seating areas around the building allowing residents to be with others or sit in quiet comfortable smaller areas.

I highly recommend Castle Brook.

Care is given with complete dignity. I genuinely believe that some of the carers are absolute angels, the care and love they give to both of my parents is beyond belief. They really are exceptional people!
Beautifully decorated, more like a hotel than a carehome. There is a shop, a cinema, a hairdressers, a cafe, and an icecream and popcorn dispenser.
Reception, the carers and management are very helpful.
There is a beautifully kept garden.
Food is good and it is always in ample supply.
Laudry gets a bit mixed up but providing labels are on all clothes then it's never really a problem.
There is a constant array of activities for the residents (usually 3 a day, everyday) and regular trips out on the memory maker minibus.

My dad never wanted to come to a care home but he realised that it was the best place for him and my mother during the first few minutes of entering the carehome. I think that says it all!

I am extremely likely to recommend to family and friends. My experience has been a pleasure to date. The room I have is clean and tidy with staff attending on a regular basis re furnishing and fitments. Incidentally I have spent many years as a finance manager in the care industry and so have experience as to how the system works. Looking at the ratings I choose to tick Good over areas.

Max and I were thrilled to be upgraded to a larger flat together with small patio on the lower floor of Castle Brook. We were helped in the move by TSI together with use of a trolley. The whole process took about 3 trolley loads to transfer all of 'our worldly goods' without a moan or a groan from TSI, finishing early afternoon, 29 September. When we arrived I was amazed TSI had set out the flat - designer style! I told her she would make a good designer! I have had interest in art & design throughout my life. She is a lovely expressive young woman, full of joy & willing member. She also has a pretty singing voice. Many thanks to all for their help.

Castle Brook is a welcoming care home. Staff are able to give feedback about my dad when I visit - if there are any issues, these are dealt with efficiently. Dad is generally happy and settling in well.

My grandad is made very welcome by the friendly, caring staff who are always smiling and singing along to his songs with him! It's lovely to see how everybody knows his name. His personal needs are taken care of with dignity, and it means the world to know that he is safe and taken care of. He enjoys his food and the brilliant facilities - especially the coffee shop, hairdressers and table tennis!

Environment clean + tidy. Care on merlon excellent. Staff work really hard and genuinely care. Main reason for writing was that care of my mum when dying was textbook standard. Its a family at Castle Brook and relatives are also treated as family, another family member had to move up north and they all say about the new home. Its not Castle Brooke.

My mum needed urgent respite care after a fall. The care and love she received exceeded all our hopes and expectations. From the receptionist to the caterers, every staff member was professional, warm and welcoming. The standard of care is high and the food served is delicious.

Overall Experience

My stay at Castle Brook was for 'respite' which was a very pleasant one. The respite stay was from 11th July to 20th July 2024. The stay was that of a 'hotel' lovely bedroom with en-suite, and the staff, food and quality of care were first class. The staff looked after me very well which made the whole respite experience a happy and pleasant one. If in the future I require respite care Castle Brook will be my first choice of care home to stay. My thanks to all involved.

Kate BradshawJob Title:General ManagerJoined: 2016

I'm the General Manager for Castle Brook and have been with WCS Care since 2016.

I joined Castle Brook in 2017, with my first and biggest job to date helping to move 32 residents from the old Woodside home in Warwick to Castle Brook, whilst it was redeveloped into the care village it is today.

I'm passionate about supporting carers to make Castle Brook the very best it can be and my mission is to make sure there are no barriers to what care home residents can do, just because they are living in a 'care home'.
