The staff at Chesnut Lodge have been amazing! My Dad has dementia, and was really struggling after several months in hospital before he moved into Chesnut Lodge. The staff have been really attentive and caring, helping him settle. They routinely help him with his everyday needs such as showering,
getting dressed and eating and drinking, which can be challenging but they handle it well, never forcing him just encouraging him.
Chesnut lodge is always clean and tidy and the staff make a lot of effort to engage service users in activities should they want to join in. I was incredibly anxious when my Dad first moved in, but everyone has been so kind and considerate, that it's really helped to put me at ease and know that my Dad is getting the care he needs.

My dad came to Chestnut Lodge in Nov 2024 and both the facilities and staff are second to none!
When visiting him, it is clear that he is well looked after and they understand all of his needs. They are keen for us, as his family to be involved in any activities they have for him.
If we have
any concerns or suggestions, we have no worry about approaching any member of the team and feedback on any action taken is given back to us in a timely manner.
I highly recommend Chestnut Lodge Care Home.
