View Full Details of Chilwell HouseI've only been with Aspire just over a week as a resident at Chilwell House. The staff are absolutely FANTASTIC, super supportive, funny/ bonkers and understanding. They always put a smile on my face! The activities set out makes me feel like I have accomplished something meaning my confidence is already getting better! Also helping me build a routine since that's something I've always lacked and struggled with. I am super super grateful for the team here and I know I'm going to do well in my journey here. Thank you so much already! I am finally starting to become happy after such a long time- thanks to you guys!
I currently reside at Chilwell House. I have been here two months & I have another month to go untill I am moved on to their sister house in Chesterfield as I have progressed a lot in the relatively short time I have been here. I came to Chilwell from hospital as it was not safe to go back to my previous residence. I am very happy & impressed by the care I receive & the standard of staff that work here. They look after me extremely well with care & advice, they are all incredibly friendly & on top of things. They have achieved a stability and standard of living for me here that I did not receive in the 4 & a half years i resided at my previous supported living.
I've lived at Chilwell House for 4 years and 4 months. I find the staff friendly and approachable, they are extremely professional and they will always help me no matter what it is and in an expident manner. The activities are educational, interactive and fun. The food satisfies my dietary requirements but the lack of choice can be frustrating at times. I am very satisfied overall, the staff and facilities are exceptional and being a resident here has greatly improved my quality of life.
Best placement I've been in. Staff are supportive and management always have an open door policy. In my time here, staff have supported me in gaining my independence. And I've found psychology helpful.
Since moving to Chilwell House, my mental health has improved a lot and I find the staff and management very helpful and supportive. I am now feeling hopeful for my future and learning new life skills.
I really like my flat here at Chilwell House, I have improved my health since coming here and like all the staff because they are very helpful, lovely staff team who care about our future. Really helped with my cooking and cleaning skills.
I have lived with Aspire Health & Care Ltd for eleven years and feel that I am well respected by staff who help me to maintain my dignity and independence to the best of my ability. I enjoy that we do lots of different types of activities and feel supported.
Although my daughter has been at Chilwell House Care Home for many years, from the day she arrived there, the staff have been so kind and caring. Any worries I have had with my daughter, I can always talk to any of the staff and they are all very approachable. Lots of activities take place with clients, suiting their capabilities. All clients take part in cooking, cleaning, washing etc. This helps with giving them their independence back with the aim of independent living, for which I cannot thank them enough. Also, Chilwell House is in a good position for joining in with community activities. I would like to extend a great, big thank you to all the staff at Chilwell House.
Overall, a very positive experience and supportive environment to live in. The staff are very good at what they do and all bring a variety of attributes to the running of the service and working with clients.
My daughter has been in Chilwell since December 2020. She took quite some time to settling-in plus the home had to learn and get to understand which can take time and involve all who support our daughter. This was very stressful for my husband and I worried so very much especially as she has special needs and learning difficulties. Now she has been there for over a year, we all work together to help meet her needs. Chilwell House Care Home now has a good understanding of her greatest needs to enable them to support her. Plus it can be very hard to help her as she has trust issues and very high anxiety but they are working very hard to help her meet her own goal of living independently. The new manager and staff keep us informed of any new issues and ask us for support that our daughter may need from us. The new manager is really making a difference too and we thank her for that.
