My dad moved into this care home at the beginning of January 2026. My experience of this care home from my first visit to see if it would be suitable, to date, has been first class. All the staff are warm, friendly, conscientious and have made my dad feel at home and cared for.
I never thought my
dad would like living in a care home, but from day 1 he has loved it. It feels more like a hotel than a care home. Within the short time he has lived there, he seems happier, his mobility is better and he looks about 5 years younger. Thank you to all the staff for providing care second to none. I am encouraged to ask the staff if dad needs anything, nothing is too much trouble. I firmly believe that the ethos in the home comes from having brilliant managers in Nicky and Adele and which is embraced by all the staff in the care, attitude and helpfulness. A very big thank you to all!

Look carefully at care quality recommendations. Staffing levels inadequate. If staff members off sick instructions agency staff not to be employed. Food quality poor. Served often cold. Microwave in dining room if residents complain. Lower dining room residents unable to feed themselves fed by
staff. Bibs placed on them. Residents wanting to return to room in wheelchairs told must wait until end of meal service no staff available to return them to room. Inadequate staff dangerously low at meal times. Residents crying out at night left unattended. No staff at times lower floor. Bells not answered.

I visit my friend once a week, she moved in to Formby Manor in November 2025, and I visit her weekly. From walking through the door everyone is warm and welcoming, I am always offered cup of coffee, cake or biscuits and if am still there at Lunch time I get offered lunch. Formby Manor is spotless
and smells lovely and clean. My friend speaks to highly of everyone and says how she is made to feel speacil. I very much highly recommended this beautiful home. I work away and I have peace of mine knowing my long time friend is well care for. One word amazing

My dad is a service user at Formby Manor Care Centre and the care he receives is exceptional. The home is clean, welcoming and well run, and the management team are outstanding. Communication is excellent and my dad is always treated with dignity, kindness and respect. We have complete peace of mind
knowing he is safe and very well cared for. I would highly recommend this care home.

Just a wonderful Care Home full of caring, kind staff led by a Great management with wonderful nurses, carers and hospitality. My uncle is so incredibly well looked after.

My sister has been a resident at Formby Manor for nearly 3 years. During this time she has received excellent care throughout. I have has experience of several care homes and can confidently say that Formby Manor surpasses them all. Also, I would like to add that the policy at Formby Manor ensure
that relatives if the residents receive assurance that they are comfortable and have confidence that their loved ones are receiving the highest standard of care.

My dad moved to Formby Manor one year ago and is happy and settled. It's a very homely environment and there is a happy, friendly atmosphere throughout the home. The facilities are of a high standard and there is a wide range of food choices to keep everyone satisfied. Lots of activities, films,
outings, games to keep everyone entertained. Formby Manor is an exceptional place due to the quality of the care provided. Everyone is committed to looking after the residents, making sure they are happy. All of the staff are very supportive of each other and the residents families. The Nursing team are first class and respond very quickly to dads changing health needs. Dad has great carers who know him well and importantly there is a strong continuity of care. I know dad is happy and in a safe environment.

My beloved dad moved into Formby Manor not long ago. As a family we were anxious and nervous about this new chapter in his life. However, we have found that our worries and concerns were not necessary. The manager reassured us from the very beginning and talked us through the process every step of
the way. Her kindness, knowledge and compassion is reflected by her staff and makes the care centre a home away from home for dad. Dad is thriving and loves living in Formby Manor and every time we visit we notice the lovely, warm atmosphere and we go home knowing that he is happy and well looked after. Thank you to all of the staff at Formby Manor Care Centre, we highly recommend them.

The home is excellent the care is exceptional. Holistic care towards all residents. Very compassionate, management is very approachable and can speak to them about anything. Very calming atmosphere. Overall amazing home.

Mum is very happy and content residing in the home and we are more than happy having the knowledge and see in action the caring and considerate treatment given to mum. We are happy knowing she is in a safe and caring environment.

As an anxious daughter, choosing a care home for my mum was a difficult decision, but Formby Manor has been exceptional in guiding us through this process. From the start, the staff have been compassionate, supportive, and understanding, which has been a huge relief.
The rooms are warm and
comfortable, and the private, fully en-suite bathrooms have been invaluable in allowing my mum to maintain her privacy and dignity, which was a top priority for us.
What stands out most is how the staff take the time to tailor activities to my mum's interests, ensuring she's engaged and happy. Their personal approach and attention to detail make a real difference, brightening her days and giving us peace of mind.
I truly feel that my mum is in a safe, caring environment where her well-being is a priority. The care she receives at Formby Manor has far exceeded our expectations, and I'm so grateful to know she's in such good hands.

No wifi signal in the home so residents can't have Sky, BT, etc and mobile phones struggle to send videos, pictures and get connection to the internet. We have asked for the last 15 months for our Auntie who loves sport, especially football, can wifi be increased so she can have Sky etc to watch
sport. She is paying £5,300 a month! Please think about the residents and not your bank balance.

Having to move my mother into a care home was a very painful decision! I cannot thank enough each and every member of staff for the care and compassion they have all shown towards my lovely mum, my sister and I. Everything at Formby Manor is perfect! It is truly a 5* experience! I wouldn't hesitate
to recommend them to friends or their parents.

My sister arrived at Formby Manor Care Centre in mid-February she has no other relatives in the UK. I live in Hawaii. We love the care and attention my sister has received. She has put on weight and loves her meals and the staff. I am happy to leave her in excellent hands.

My dad believes Formby Manor Care Centre is exceptional. Also, all staff are very good and a pleasure to deal with.
My dad's observations are medication first class. Rooms are excellent but more plugs are required and a doormat for each room. Three full meals a day is too much. Activities are not
suitable for him but an abundance of things on offer. Considering a balanced diet is ideal, more fruit would be great.

My father has been a resident since April 2022 and I have always been pleased with the care he has received. The staff on the second floor are excellent, the facilities are good and there is a wonderful nurse.

My husband has been in the care of Formby Manor Care Centre for the past 18 months, or thereabouts. The care he receives is way beyond what I am able to give him due to medical conditions myself. The staff go above and beyond wherever they are able and I appreciate all they do for my husband.

My Mum has been at Formby Manor for over 18 months now and loves it here and even called it “home” when we took her back on Christmas Day!
The manager and all the staff are very approachable and always happy to help.
They are kind, caring and very professional.
The home is immaculate and
always has a lovely happy and friendly atmosphere.
My mum is so well looked after and enjoys getting her hair done each week.
The food is amazing with a varied menu and plenty of choice at each meal time.
They always have a wide variety of daily activities that my mum loves along with day trips out.
Everything about this care home is outstanding and I cannot recommend it enough!
