I am extremely happy with Bishops Manor and the way they care for Mum.
Every person who works there offers care in a very special way.
Mum arrived there very frail. Their patience, kindness, care and attention has bought her back to where she is today.
Trusting she is in such good hands has
lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and eased the stress my family felt trying to care for her.
They have an app on which they regularly upload pictures of Mum and other residents engaging in activities and enjoying themselves. It's lovely to see her smiling so much. Her smiles were few and far between before she arrived at Bishops Manor and had been replaced with extreme anxiety. Her anxiety has now completely disappeared.
The carers always communicate promptly and clearly. If mum is unwell we are informed, We always know exactly what's happening, which gives us such peace of mind. It's a relief to know she's safe and well cared for.
I couldn't ask for a better place for her to be

My grandma has been a resident at Bishops Manor for several years now. After having a stroke and losing her husband, she went from living mostly independently to needing support, and over time her vascular dementia has unfortunately made it impossible for her to look after herself.
When it was time
for our family to find her a care home, we wanted a place that not only had good, clean rooms and living conditions, but most importantly offered excellent care. We are so happy to say that the carers at Bishops Manor have been wonderful. They are all kind, gentle, and most importantly patient - something that makes a huge difference for my grandma and her dementia.
We love the wide range of activities offered to her most days. My grandma especially enjoys the singalongs and craft sessions. We are so grateful for the care, warmth, and happiness that Bishops Manor provides. We worry less knowing our grandma is comfortable, safe, and loved.

I had a dear friend in Bishops Manor, from springtime of last year until her death in February. I cannot fault the care she received: I was able to talk through any concerns or issues, the level of communication was sympathetic and understanding. My friend settled in quite quickly, and I was aware
she was happy, making a speech of thanks at her 90th birthday tea party, and again during a meal time. She was so appreciative toward the staff and managed to express how supported and looked after she felt. When she was close to the end of her life, the care team were so kind and empathic, involving me in decisions: and patiently explaining their actions. Their attentive and vigilant care during this difficult time was heartwarming. The care overall has been exemplary, my friend spent the last months of her life content, and very well cared for. For this I am grateful, as it meant that I could relax knowing she was safe in very capable hands. Many warm thanks to everyone at Bishops Manor.

I visited several good quality Care homes in the area, but found Bishops Manor to be the best suited for my Aunt.
From day one their support in helping me move my Aunt from another care home into Bishops Manor went very smoothly.
Special mention for Jody for her support.
I truly believe that my
Aunt is now in the best place for her needs and will be happy and well cared for.

My father started his residency at Bishop's Manor on 23/08/24 after a very distressing hospital experience. Following this my sisters and I were determined to find the best care for him that met his needs physically, emotionally, medically and financially. We count ourselves very fortunate that in
Bishops Manor we have done this!
Initially on entering Bishop's Manor our father was disoriented, frightened, anxious and unsettled with many episodes of distressed behaviour and even though these problems still arise from time to time their regularity has been considerably arrested due to the kind, friendly care and support provided by the care home staff. Dad hasn't just found a facility with capable staff, he is "at home" with a "second family". His room is his "home" and he feels safe and secure.
The staff at all levels, without exception, are exemplary! They are very knowledgeable, professional and driven by a desire to provide the best care for their residents and with a smile.

We were welcomed by friendly staff who went out of their way to accomodate our visit to our friends. There was a happy, relaxed atmosphere and both staff and residents seemed happy & relaxed. The staff showed exceptional sensitivity and understanding of the needs of our friend (a resident) & the
standard of cleanliness & care was excellent. The place felt clean but comfortable & homely. I cannot fault it.

I'd just like to thank all the staff who worked over the Christmas period at Bishops Manor, the run up to Christmas was filled with lots of lovely opportunities to make memories with loved ones.
I'd particularly like to thank all staff who worked Christmas Day. We had lunch with my Dad and the
effort everyone put into making us welcome was much appreciated. This was my Dad's first Christmas at the home and a difficult one for many reasons. However, everyone ensured he had the best time possible and we made the most of being able to spend Christmas Day together. The lunch was wonderful and special thanks to Scott and the kitchen team for all their hard work.

Thank you so much for the lovely atmosphere and experience you created, through out the home , during the Christmas festive period and New Year. The care, effort and detail, by all departments, that had gone into making it a really special time was very much appreciated and meant we were able to
create very happy memories with our loved one.
Our family highlight was the wonderful New Years Party, organised by Sarah, with the fabulous tunes from singer Frank and as all parties need a buffet big thanks to Scott and his team.

My husband has been in Bishops Manor for over twelve months now. He is well settled but more importantly I know he is being cared for when he does get confused and agitated.
There is always plenty going on and activities to keep him occupied but equally so plenty of space if he just want to be
quiet.
The staff, and I mean all the staff, know him and myself and it's like coming h9me to extended family.they even arranged his 80th afternoon tea party for all the family.
The run up to Xmas was filled with plenty of crafting,,cards, gifts for family, tree decorating, carol concerts all organised by Sarah and team. Then of course no Xmas would be complete without all the food and drink supplied by Scott and his team, it was superb.
I would highly recommend this care Home for doing what it's title says ,it cares.

This year, we had the privilege of spending Christmas Day at the care home with our mum, and it truly became one of the most memorable Christmases we've ever shared with her. We were warmly invited to join her for Christmas dinner, and from start to finish the entire experience was exceptional.
The
staff, as always, were nothing short of incredible. Their kindness, attention, and festive spirit made the day feel genuinely special. The Christmas meal itself was absolutely beautiful - we were spoiled with a choice of three starters, three delicious main courses, and four indulgent desserts. Every dish arrived piping hot, full of flavour, and clearly made with care.
The cooks went above and beyond, not only preparing a wonderful meal but also checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. Their thoughtfulness did not go unnoticed.
We are deeply grateful to every member of the team for creating such a warm, joyful, and unforgettable Christmas for our mum and for us.

We have just returned home to the West Country after another lovely visit to mum . She was walking well with her frame , was chatty and smiley and enjoyed hot chocolate , Christmas cake and shortbread biscuits in the lovely bistro. My sister enjoyed
a similarly positive time with her on Christmas
Day sharing wonderful dinner and fun. It is 6 years since mum became a resident at Bishops Manor and I thank her floor 2 team in particular for the outstanding quality of care provided ; physically, emotionally and socially . The progress that mum has made has been so impressive. The whole team are incredible, the cleaning team keep the rooms and shared spaces spotless. The catering team produce incredible food and have successfully re-ignited mums appetite. The reception staff are always so welcoming and seem to know me despite my geographical distance . The events and activities organisation is high quality alongside the less visible administration staff. Thankyou all .

Thank you to the wonderful team at Bishops Manor for the loving and caring way that you all looked after Mum (Pat) over the last four years.
Going into a care home for your twilight years is, I imagine, a daunting if not frightening prospect for residents. It's also a worrying time for us, their
families as we need to know our loved ones are being cared for as well as we would like, and we may, irrationally, also be dealing with feelings of guilt for our perceived shortcomings.
There was none of that for us as Mum settled into your lovely home quickly, she felt safe there and the fact that after a day trip out she would use the phrase "I want to go home now" says all that needs to be said.
Your care has been top notch, you are all lovely people and I will miss my time with you each May, your company, the wild parties, seeing Mum so happy, and the warm welcome you always gave me.
I'll come by to see you this week.
Thank you thank you

My mother spent the final 15 months of her life at Bishops Manor Care Home. From first assessment onwards, the experience was outstandingly positive. The home is very well run and all of the staff are welcoming, friendly, skilled and caring. Before long they became second family to us all. They
cared for my mother, entertained her, laughed with her and, finally, provided her with empathetic end-of-life-care. A superb service provider.

My mom had 2 wonderful years at Bishops Manor we only wish we had found this beautiful place earlier for her . She had a great sense of humour and the staff kept this going for mom , dancing , craft making cake decorating, quiz games just a few activities to mention . Sadly mom passed away
