We cannot thank the superb Harrier Grange Team enough for the wonderful compassionate care of our Mother over the last week of her life from hospital to peaceful and gentle goodbye. We were welcomed every time we visited by name and with a smile. The Home itself is beautifully and thoughtfully
designed and immaculate. We quickly became 'one of the family' and offered refreshments and a peaceful place to be with our beautiful Mother. We felt safe to leave her when we needed to rest. She was treated with tenderness and patience by each and every member of staff. When her time came, we were both compassionately supported and given that all important time to say goodbye. The superb management, reception and activities team who gave us all the information we needed and personal touch, the nursing team, each one an angel, the beautiful inside-and-out carers, the friendly conscientious housekeeping team, the chef and kitchen team, each of you are deeply appreciated. We recommend you 100%.

Harrier Grange took care of my Mum during the last 2 years of her life and she was very happy there. She constantly sang the praises of the care staff, surroundings and food both to me and other family members who related her comments back to me. This gave me the peace of mind to know that Mum was
safe and contented, being treated with respect and dignity. As for me, I was made to feel welcome by all the staff on each and every visit. Furthermore, they provided the utmost respect, comfort and understanding during the last weeks of Mum's life. I highly recommend Harrier Grange Care Home.

My husband was taken to Harrier Grange Care Home for Palliative care. (Or comfort care) Firstly the home itself is very comfortable and brightly decorated as are the rooms. It's also peaceful. The staff who looked after my husband are, without exception the most caring, thoughtful, friendly, kind
people we could wish to meet. Nothing was too much for them, they even looked after me when I needed it.
It's not only the nursing staff and carers who need a mention, other members of the staff are brilliant.

Cannot fault the care given to my wife at Harrier Grange Care Home.

Mum was extremely well cared for at Harrier Grange for over 5 years. Over this period of time, staff managed her gradual reduction in mobility and advancing dementia with great care and respect. She really enjoyed the food and activities provided and was always happy to join in a game or quiz. The
staff even got her to try more artistic activities like flower arranging or crafts, even though, through her own admission, she was not very good at it. I got the overall impression that Mum really enjoyed her time at the home, which gave all the family such peace of mind knowing she was in good, professional, caring hands.

My mother was in residence for almost five years, including Covid. Living overseas and unable to travel, compounded this event. The care and understanding of this illness that Harrier Grange displayed was outstanding. At all times via telephone and social media, I was able to speak with my mother,
management and staff. Eventually, when being able to travel, I always found my mother peacefull, content and well nourished. At all times staff well aware of the needs of my mother.

From the minute I walked into Harrier Grange, I was so pleased for this to be the place for my sister to be looked after. It is light and spacious and has a lovely, calm atmosphere generated by smiling, caring staff! My sister was treated with dignity and care, and I always felt that nothing was too
much trouble when it came to what she wanted and needed. I would not hesitate to give my highest recommendation to anyone considering a placement at Harrier Grange.

My father came to Harrier Grange for end of life care. The care he received was brilliant, but also the thought that was given to us his relatives went far beyond what can be expected. As an example, visiting him on the day he arrived, not only did the member of staff know him by name, even though
they worked on a different floor, but they personally took me to his room. Throughout his stay, his personal hygiene was seen to be - he was clean shaven up to the day he died. The nursing staff were brilliant, explaining to us what was happening. My mother, who is frail, was given meals when she was there. Watching your father die is not easy, but Harrier Grange eased that burden as much as possible. The general manager has created a magnificent team. A special mention to a few individual carers, but every member of staff we came across were great.

The home, staff + facilities were exceptional. My uncle had the upmost care + was very happy + settled at the home.
Would highly recommend the home, definitely five stars all round.

Placing your loved one in residential care is one of life's hardest decisions. My loved one moved from another local care home to Harrier Grange Care Home (summer of 2024). I have been blown away by the level of care provided by the whole team at Harrier Grange. The manager is great and the care he
shows for his team flows right through to all departments. My loved one is receiving first-class care for her dementia. I can't recommend this home highly enough. Moving my relative to Harrier Grange was the best thing we did as a family. My advice is to trust your gut instincts, if things don't feel right, they aren't right. Everything is right about Harrier Grange.

I'd always promised Mum she would never go in a home, as it had always been one of her worries. However, this decision was taken out of her hands with her advancing dementia and the inability to be left on her own. From the moment I visited Harrier Grange with its welcoming staff, and modern
facilities I knew this would be the right place for Mum.
The staff became extended family, always dedicated, kind and prepared to go that extra mile. They all excelled in their roles, ensuring Mum's increasing needs were prioritised, and treating her with dignity and respect throughout her journey. As a family we were always made to feel welcome, and confident mum was in safe hands with her regularly commenting on how lucky she was to be there. I was always kept in the loop receiving regular health updates, and notifications of any changes. Any highlighted concerns were always dealt with promptly. Thank you for making Mum's world the best it could be.

This care home has been such a memorable place. The care is second to none and the empathy for the family has been first-class. I will recommend this care home to everyone. I knew as soon as I came to view it was the best one available.

My mother has been a resident at Harrier Grange Care Home for 5 years and I cannot fault the care she receives. Whenever I visit the staff are always polite, kind and compassionate. My mother is in the latter stages of Alzheimer's disease and has been confined to bed for a few years now. However,
because of the excellent care given to her at Harrier Grange, she has just reached her milestone 100th birthday! Myself, my sisters and our partners were able to spend much of the day with our Mum in her room celebrating the occasion. The carers were like an extended family and helped to ensure my Mum's special day was a day to remember, from doing her hair to dressing her for the occasion, decorating her room, vases ready for flowers and delivering her cards. In the afternoon a lovely cake was brought into her room accompanied by carers, residents and staff in party hats singing 'Happy Birthday'. All these special touches helped to make it a momentous day for my Mum and her family!

My wife was sent to Harrier Grange following a bad fall and spell in hospital.
I cannot speak too highly of the care and respect she has been shown by management and staff. The staff have gone out of their way to help with her recovery, encouraging, and assisting her to do her exercises, set by
the physio who can only come in once a week.
The nurses have been sympathetic to her needs and quick to offer pain relief when needed. Unfortunately my wife is incontinent which makes the work for the staff even more difficult, but, with their assistance she is now able to get off the bed onto a commode, so progress is being made.

Harrier Grange is an excellent care home with a superb team who work their socks off to please all of the residents. No complaints from me for the way they looked after Dad for nearly 5 years. Top marks!

I regularly take a client to visit her husband, who lives on the top floor. Weather permitting, we take him out the staff always have him ready for us, he is appropriately dressed for the weather and always looks happy and well looked after. All staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their
way to make us feel welcome.
Having worked in a nursing home environment for 30 years I know how important it is to have wonderful staff members like this!

My mother was admitted to Harrier Grange on February 11th 2020 and sadly passed away on 9th January 2024. During her time at Harrier Grange, she received professional care during the particularly difficult Covid period. This care has remained a constant throughout her time and I believe this is why
she lived so long.
From front of house, housekeeping and the care staff, who are exceptional, you are made to feel welcome, which is equally as important as the care given to your loved one.
At the time of my mother's passing, the staff were there for her as well as me. I cannot recommend Harrier Grange highly enough. I was a nurse myself and have seen various homes as a visitor and my experience allows me to comment from a professional point of view.
I would highly recommend Harrier Grange for their professionalism, loving care, high standard of housekeeping and comfortable accommodation.

I cannot praise the Harrier Grange highly enough. Their level of kindness and understanding of their residents is magnificent! Carers on all floors are wonderful. My father was looked after by nurses and their team of carers was excellent. His needs were various and were met with understanding and
compassion. Sadly, my father passed away the day before his birthday, but all members of staff, from the lady on reception and management to myself and my family, were fantastic, for which I am enormously thankful.
04 January 2024
You were there when we needed you most and provided care for our loved one that was second to none! You and your entire team are absolutely amazing, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the kindness and professionalism you have shown in looking after my very special “gramps”. I would
not hesitate to recommend Harrier Grange to anyone.
