My mother was in residence for almost five years, including Covid. Living overseas and unable to travel, compounded this event. The care and understanding of this illness that Harrier Grange displayed was outstanding. At all times via telephone and social media, I was able to speak with my mother, management
and staff. Eventually, when being able to travel, I always found my mother peacefull, content and well nourished. At all times staff well aware of the needs of my mother.

From the minute I walked into Harrier Grange, I was so pleased for this to be the place for my sister to be looked after. It is light and spacious and has a lovely, calm atmosphere generated by smiling, caring staff! My sister was treated with dignity and care, and I always felt that nothing was too
much trouble when it came to what she wanted and needed. I would not hesitate to give my highest recommendation to anyone considering a placement at Harrier Grange.

My father came to Harrier Grange for end of life care. The care he received was brilliant, but also the thought that was given to us his relatives went far beyond what can be expected. As an example, visiting him on the day he arrived, not only did the member of staff know him by name, even though they
worked on a different floor, but they personally took me to his room. Throughout his stay, his personal hygiene was seen to be - he was clean shaven up to the day he died. The nursing staff were brilliant, explaining to us what was happening. My mother, who is frail, was given meals when she was there. Watching your father die is not easy, but Harrier Grange eased that burden as much as possible. The general manager has created a magnificent team. A special mention to a few individual carers, but every member of staff we came across were great.

Placing your loved one in residential care is one of life's hardest decisions. My loved one moved from another local care home to Harrier Grange Care Home (summer of 2024). I have been blown away by the level of care provided by the whole team at Harrier Grange. The manager is great and the care he
shows for his team flows right through to all departments. My loved one is receiving first-class care for her dementia. I can't recommend this home highly enough. Moving my relative to Harrier Grange was the best thing we did as a family. My advice is to trust your gut instincts, if things don't feel right, they aren't right. Everything is right about Harrier Grange.

I'd always promised Mum she would never go in a home, as it had always been one of her worries. However, this decision was taken out of her hands with her advancing dementia and the inability to be left on her own. From the moment I visited Harrier Grange with its welcoming staff, and modern facilities
I knew this would be the right place for Mum.
The staff became extended family, always dedicated, kind and prepared to go that extra mile. They all excelled in their roles, ensuring Mum's increasing needs were prioritised, and treating her with dignity and respect throughout her journey. As a family we were always made to feel welcome, and confident mum was in safe hands with her regularly commenting on how lucky she was to be there. I was always kept in the loop receiving regular health updates, and notifications of any changes. Any highlighted concerns were always dealt with promptly. Thank you for making Mum's world the best it could be.

My mother has been a resident at Harrier Grange Care Home for 5 years and I cannot fault the care she receives. Whenever I visit the staff are always polite, kind and compassionate. My mother is in the latter stages of Alzheimer's disease and has been confined to bed for a few years now. However, because
of the excellent care given to her at Harrier Grange, she has just reached her milestone 100th birthday! Myself, my sisters and our partners were able to spend much of the day with our Mum in her room celebrating the occasion. The carers were like an extended family and helped to ensure my Mum's special day was a day to remember, from doing her hair to dressing her for the occasion, decorating her room, vases ready for flowers and delivering her cards. In the afternoon a lovely cake was brought into her room accompanied by carers, residents and staff in party hats singing 'Happy Birthday'. All these special touches helped to make it a momentous day for my Mum and her family!

My wife was sent to Harrier Grange following a bad fall and spell in hospital.
I cannot speak too highly of the care and respect she has been shown by management and staff. The staff have gone out of their way to help with her recovery, encouraging, and assisting her to do her exercises, set by the
physio who can only come in once a week.
The nurses have been sympathetic to her needs and quick to offer pain relief when needed. Unfortunately my wife is incontinent which makes the work for the staff even more difficult, but, with their assistance she is now able to get off the bed onto a commode, so progress is being made.

I regularly take a client to visit her husband, who lives on the top floor. Weather permitting, we take him out the staff always have him ready for us, he is appropriately dressed for the weather and always looks happy and well looked after. All staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way
to make us feel welcome.
Having worked in a nursing home environment for 30 years I know how important it is to have wonderful staff members like this!

My mother was admitted to Harrier Grange on February 11th 2020 and sadly passed away on 9th January 2024. During her time at Harrier Grange, she received professional care during the particularly difficult Covid period. This care has remained a constant throughout her time and I believe this is why
she lived so long.
From front of house, housekeeping and the care staff, who are exceptional, you are made to feel welcome, which is equally as important as the care given to your loved one.
At the time of my mother's passing, the staff were there for her as well as me. I cannot recommend Harrier Grange highly enough. I was a nurse myself and have seen various homes as a visitor and my experience allows me to comment from a professional point of view.
I would highly recommend Harrier Grange for their professionalism, loving care, high standard of housekeeping and comfortable accommodation.

Mum was struggling to manage on her own any more and feeling constantly anxious. Once we had made the difficult decision to look at care homes, we visited all those close to us. We are so pleased we settled on Harrier Grange. All the staff are approachable, and with their wonderful care and attention
Mum feels relaxed again - no more anxiety. Having lived on her own for many years, Mum enjoys the company and looks forward to all the activities on offer. In her own words, 'Harrier Grange is first class'.

I cannot praise the Harrier Grange highly enough. Their level of kindness and understanding of their residents is magnificent! Carers on all floors are wonderful. My father was looked after by nurses and their team of carers was excellent. His needs were various and were met with understanding and compassion.
Sadly, my father passed away the day before his birthday, but all members of staff, from the lady on reception and management to myself and my family, were fantastic, for which I am enormously thankful.

I can't praise Harrier Grange's Care Home enough. My mum has been there just over one year. Everyone there is so caring and helpful. Mum just celebrated her 100 birthday celebrations there. They made it so special for her and all her family.
Wish every care home could be as good as this one.
It's
a big worry when a loved one needs to go into care, but Mum loves it there and takes part in lots of the activities that they put on regularly.
It takes away a lot of worry from her family. She is well looked after.

My stepmother has been a resident at Harrier Grange for nearly three years.
The level of care that she has received throughout this time has been exceptional.
Every single member of staff there in every single role goes above and beyond. So kind, so caring and highly professional. The team is absolutely
outstanding.
It is a very important and difficult decision to make when choosing residential care, but I would not hesitate to recommend Harrier Grange.

Having made the very difficult decision to put mum in a care home we are so pleased with how well she has settled in. The carers and nurses are lovely to mum and I feel confident they are looking after her very well. They are very friendly with us and regularly update us on mum's progress. The management/admin

My parents-in-law are both residents at Harrier Grange Care Home and have been since February and March 2023. I cannot fault the care that they are receiving. My father-in-law has dementia and he is the happiest I have seen him in a long time. He joins in all the activities and is always smiling, and
he feels loved and cared for. The staff are so intuitive and caring that I have no concerns at all. Harrier Grange is very smart, clean and a very happy place to visit, you are always greeted with smiles and receive a cheery welcome from all of the staff.

Baiju has worked in different job roles and has extensive experience and knowledge in caring for elderly people, including those with Dementia and End-of-life Care. He is committed and passionate about giving the best care to vulnerable adults who deserve to receive the best dignifying care in the late days of their lives.
