I cannot fault the Harrier Grange team who have gone out of their way to welcome and support my parents. Nothing is too much trouble and every effort is made to spend time with them and to accommodate their wishes. The activities which are laid on each day are fun, challenging, wide-ranging and expertly
led, and having a cinema and hairdressing salon on site also adds positively to the ambience of the home. I would heartily recommend Harrier Grange Care Home to anyone!

My mum was a resident at Harrier Grange Care Home for just over a year. In that time she was extremely well looked after by caring and professional staff all of whom treated her with kindness and dignity. The home is well run and well maintained and the management team take time to listen to concerns
from both residents and relatives and take action to improve. When I visited I was always made to feel welcome by everyone I encountered and everyone was always cheerful and enthusiastic about their work.
Sadly Mum passed away at the end of February but the team at Harrier Grange did everything they could to make her last few days as comfortable as possible and we were able to visit her without any restrictions.
Moving Mum into a home was such a difficult decision but Harrier Grange was 110% the best choice I could have made. I always knew that she was safe and well cared for and have no hesitation in recommending this care home to other families having to make the same decision.

I highly recommend this care home. My Mum was a resident for four and a half years, she enjoyed the company of the other residents, the varied activities and the entertainment. As her health gradually deteriorated, we always felt we were kept well informed and Mum was cared for with compassion and respect.
The whole Harrier Grange team is exceptional and we definitely feel we made the right choice placing our Mum into their care.

My mother moved to Harrier Grange over six months ago. It is clean, modern and spacious. The home is very well run by the friendly manager and deputy, that take the time to listen and act on concerns. I felt that Mum was very well looked after by professional, kind and caring staff that treated her
with such dignity. The food was good, and the room looked out on nice grounds. Unfortunately, Mum died a few days ago, but everyone there went out of their way to make her last few days as comfortable and calm as possible, as well as allowing the family unrestricted visiting, making us most welcome and providing us with emotional support as well. I can look back on her time at Harrier without regret and knowing everybody did their best for Mum. Consequently, I have no hesitation in recommending Harrier Grange to other families.

I am very pleased with care my mother has at Harrier Grange Care Home. I can't praise it enough. Staff are very caring. Food is good, clean. My mother is very happy there and wishes she had done it years ago.

I have just had an amazing visit to see my mum in Harrier Grange Care Home. It was so wonderful to see her settled and more content. The staff have worked really hard to settle her into her new accommodation and it was obvious that she is so well cared for. Her clothes are clean and coordinated, just
how she used to look and she looks really well. The staff on every occasion have been caring and respectful right throughout the whole team. The room is bright and airy and has all her personal things around her. I can’t praise the staff highly enough, the management and the whole team. I feel well informed and updated on her progress and would like to thank every member of Harrier Grange Care Home for the wonderful care they give her and for keeping me in the loop at every stage.

My mum is very happy at Harrier Grange Care Home. She feels very safe and neatly enjoys the lovely food which she always finishes, every bit!
She does not join in on many activities but what she has joined in with she has enjoyed.
The staff are always very helpful and friendly.

My mother has been a resident at Harrier Grange Care Home for some years, most importantly she feels safe and well cared for and where she wants to remind. The staff work so hard and the ones I have got to know are lovely. The receptionist is joyous! The food, fabulous.

My grandmother moved to Harrier Grange Care Home 6 months ago. I am very impressed by the home. It is clean, tidy and well maintained. The carers and staff are amazing and overall have looked after her well and with dignity. A big shout out to the manager he is very friendly and can't do enough to help
with any problems and genuinely cares!

My husband is being very well cared for - very friendly helpful staff.
Nurses exceptional with care of medication and always at hand for advice.
Food excellent too.
Housekeeping do a wonderful job - good laundry service.

Mum arrived at Harrier Grange Care Home in October, she was recovering from an operation whilst grieving the loss of her husband and often confused and withdrawn with the onset of dementia.
The level of care and companionship she received is outstanding and has transformed her back into a relaxed,
happier Mum again. As a family we are so very grateful to all the team at Harrier Grange Care Home safe in the knowledge that Mum is being so well looked after.

My father is a resident at Harrier Grange Care Home, and having been there for six months now, I have to say just how impressed I am with the kindness of every single member of staff that I have met there. The manager listened to all my thoughts, worries and concerns as my father moved in during the
Covid lockdown. He and the rest of the team were both practical and kind - they not only cared for my father, they cared for me in this process too. The team that look after my father are so kind and totally "on it" - getting to know him, his likes and dislikes. Treating him with great respect and kindness, looking to ensure that he has as much fun and freedom as possible.
The lady on reception brings such life and light to every conversation - making every moment a cheerful one, whilst also extending compassion for difficult moments. I have a long way to come to visit, however, I am always so impressed - and deeply grateful. Thank you, team.

My lovely dad was living at Harrier Grange for 3 and a half years before he had his fall and couldn't recover, having also contracted pneumonia.
Whilst in the care of the home, he was given every opportunity to be as independent as possible and he greatly appreciated that. All staff got to know him
very well and took great care of his personal needs. The carers were absolutely great, through thick and thin. He had his moments with them, but they took it in their stride, appreciating his frustration over things that were out of his control.
He enjoyed the outings and the lovely grounds which he took advantage of during the Covid-19 period when going out was not an option. Toward the end, the staff kept in touch frequently when he was unwell. They liaised with the hospital and the doctor as well as the family. We cannot fault their care. The care at the end, sitting with him in his last moments were invaluable to us as a family who was not able to be with him. Thank you to all.

I would like to say that the care that is given to the residents at the care home is top-class. All the staff in all departments are so helpful no matter what you ask them for. There is one thing I do notice they have always got a smile on their faces. I will say that I could not find a better care
home for my wife anywhere as good as this one.

Baiju is a Registered Mental Health Nurse who obtained his Nursing Degree in India in 1997. Since then he has worked for many Hospitals and Health Care Groups including Bupa, Four Seasons and Brighterkind. Baiju has worked in different job roles and has extensive experience and knowledge in caring for elderly people, including those with Dementia and End-of-life Care. He is committed and passionate about giving the best care to vulnerable adults who deserve to receive the best dignifying care in the late days of their lives.


Baiju is a very friendly, approachable, honest and committed person, who believes passionately in the value of people, culture and right behaviour. Baiju has far-reaching knowledge and experience in care standards and health and safety regulations. Recently he has supported and helped a care home to receive an Outstanding report from CQC.

Salim Cheethayil

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2021

Salim completed his degree in RGUHS in India and ONP at City University London and then moved to Andover in 2016 with his wife and his 3-year-old son. He has been working as the Clinical Lead in an Andover-based nursing home for 5 years after becoming a registered nurse in 2012. Salim enjoys playing badminton and plays for a local club in Andover!

In 2019 I moved to the position of Receptionist which is a position I really enjoy. Having been at Harrier Grange almost since it opened, I have the good fortune of knowing all the residents and their families really well and pride myself in always being there to help in any way I can.

Meet Krystyna, head chef at Harrier Grange. Krystyna loves using fresh, ingredients to make delicious meals and has been cooking for over 30 years and enjoys working in fast-paced kitchens. Krystyna is passionate about sustainable cooking and likes to create a collaborative atmosphere where everyone can be creative. She is good at leading teams and solving problems, taking pride in making tasty dishes and believing in the importance of each team member. I completed my Diploma in nursing in India and my Bachelor's nursing degree at the University of West London. I was working in hospitals in India. Came over to the UK in 2011 and worked for Nursing and Dementia homes in London. I have recently moved to Andover and it is a lovely place. I am looking forward to doing my best for the residents at Harrier Grange and enjoying being part of the committed and dedicated staff there. I enjoy looking after elderly residents and providing maximum support to them and their families. I am always approachable and do my best to provide quality care to the residents.

In the UK, working as a care assistant for elderly individuals and a support worker for learning-disabled clients. Apsara completed her UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration and is currently working at Harrier Grange as a registered nurse, where she enjoys caring for elderly people. In her home country of Nepal, Susma was a qualified nurse with experience across various wards, including maternity and orthopaedics.
