My daughter moved to The Haven late summer 2023. I was very anxious at first as she is nonverbal and has very limited communication and relies on all needs to be met by caregivers. She also requires administration of medication for epilepsy and isn’t exactly compliant so that also worried me. I
should have trusted my instinct. To say my daughter settled in well is an understatement. Yes, there were a few ‘getting to know her’ moments but we as a family couldn’t be happier with her new ‘home from home’. When I visit she is always very settled, clean and well cared for, i.e. fingernails cut, fringe-trimmed, hair nicely plaited. I have always found staff to be very kind, caring and understanding and very engaged with all residents. The Haven should be praised for the excellent service they provide and I’m sure I speak on behalf of other parents when I say it is a huge comfort to know there are providers like The Haven, with genuinely lovely caring staff who really do care.
