My aunt moved into Kyn Bickley about a year ago. I live abroad, and she has no family in the UK. We were very impressed by Kyn, it is as stunning in real life as it is in the photos. But we were worried as she moved in - would it feel like home? Would they actually care about her? Would she meet
people and form friendships? The answer was a resounding yes. She was busy socialising from day one. The medical and nursing care has been excellent. Now she is a bit more bed based, but still very comfortable and happy. We are very happy.

Mum is enjoying ongoing care and attention in KYN.
She absolutely loves living there and has blossomed since moving in permanently in the middle of June.
Fortunately she is able to take advantage of the many facilities and activities available.
There are excellent "exercise" classes, first class
singers for entertainment and many other interesting bits and pieces.
The restaurant is a lovely room and it's very conducive to enjoying excellent meals.
Staff are quite superb, showing great warmth and empathy towards the residents.
The fees at KYN are quite high, but in my view they are value for money. Seeing my Mother so well looked after in an extremely luxurious environment is pretty priceless.
I don't think I could leave her in better, safer hands.

My 91 year old Mum has been at KYN for 1.5 years now, she moved into care because, living with her dementia, she was finding it difficult to cope mentally and physically in her home environment. Although reluctant at first, with the support and kindness from the KYN staff, she has settled well and
enjoying spending time with her new friends and taking part in all the activities and entertainment on offer. She also regularly sees family and friends and is able to go out for adventures whenever the opportunity comes up. My 93 year old Dad, who has multiple health challenges, has also now moved into KYN, the nursing staff have been amazing and his conditions have stabilised with their care and medical support. Both Mum and Dad love the staff, everyone in the team at KYN is respectful, patient and kind. They also know how to communicate in a gentle and fun way so my parents feel supported with dignity!
16 June 2025
I discovered KYN last summer whilst looking for respite care, and what was supposed to be a s short break turned into extended stay. It is not just a care home.it really is a home away from home.
The care team took their time to get to know my Mum, her character and allowed her to do tasks as if
she was in her own home. They treated her with respect, and as a person - which I truly appreciate. The dementia support has been exemplary. And there is always help to hand whenever needed. Whenever I would visit, the staff would always update me on how she was doing and what she had been up to. Her room was always clean and tidy which had a great view overlooking the magnificent garden, and the atmosphere always calm and peaceful.
I am so grateful to KYN for the dedication, care, kindness and love they showed my mother, and how they have supported me. They have genuinely become part of our family and I am forever grateful to them for everything they have done for us.

I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful welcome and care my mum has received since moving to KYN Bickley a couple of months ago. All the rooms are decorated to a high standard and the atmosphere suggests a hotel rather than a care home. The staff are always friendly, professional and engage
with residents and visitors positively.
There are wide ranging activities for residents if they wish to take part and delicious meals tailored to their preferences. My mum was given space to adjust to her new and very different living arrangements in her own time and is now joining in with many of the opportunities available at KYN Bickley.
Having been concerned for my mum's safety for a while, knowing that she is in a safe, caring environment has put me at ease. From my experience, residents are always treated with dignity, patience and warmth and staff take great strides to make every resident feel at home. I would like to thank all the staff for their incredible care and dedication.

What can I say about KYN Bickley?
From the moment I walk through its doors, I am warmly greeted by the concierge team and engulfed in the building's friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
It sets the gold standard of what a care home should be - from top to bottom:
From the energising and transparent
presence of the home manager, the dedication of the care staff, the enthusiasm of the activity coordinators, the attentiveness of the servers in the dining room to the tireless efforts of the cleaning staff - it is a joyous atmosphere to be in!
I never fail to be amazed - every day when I visit my mother - by the level of service and care provided by every one of its members of staff.
Nothing but excellence will do.
As a tangible example, my mother's chronic constipation has been remedied by the carefully considered ingredients that go into the food and the menu is meticulously devised to feed not only the body but also the mind.
KYN Bickley isn't just a "care home", it's a philosophy.
23 December 2024
I think if I had designed the perfect place for Mum it still wouldn't have met the standards of KYN Bickley. Choosing somewhere to take care of a loved one is an incredibly difficult process, with so many nuances and details to take into consideration - starting from the most important, the level of
care, down to the decor. Our Mum had a condition that required specialised care, and a real trepidation about moving into a nursing home, so we knew we had to find somewhere perfect - but from the beginning we felt we not only would she receive the care she needed, but it would be somewhere she'd be happy and would feel at home.
I'd like to give a special mention to the customer engagement manager and the home administrator. Honestly, can't thank you both enough - your warmth, humanity, and compassion made what was a really difficult time so much more bearable. We'll be eternally grateful for that. Also the knowledgeable and compassionate three of her care staff in particular took such great care of her too. Thank you all so much!

I cannot thank KYN enough for the care they gave Mum at the end of her life. Mum had motor neurone disease which is complex to manage and many nursing homes do not have the specialist knowledge to deal with it. With KYN, from the first meeting I felt confident they understood Mum's condition and
could offer her the care she needed. My confidence was not misplaced. When Mum moved in she was looked after very well by her nurses who were not only very knowledgeable but showed great compassion and care towards my mum, skills which in my experience cannot be taught. They always went above and beyond to care for her, including one of the nurses going to pick up Mum's prescription and updating me on her day off. Added to this, the home itself is beautiful, not like a care home at all but more like a 5-star hotel. It has great facilities and families are made to feel welcome. Sadly Mum has now passed away but I will be forever grateful that I found this place for Mum.

Parents have been at KYN Bickley for about 8 weeks. They are very happy and much more relaxed. They have far less anxiety about day to day issues you have at home. The most important aspect is 'do the staff care', and they absolutely do. The staff and level of care are excellent. From our family
point of view, we are so much more relaxed knowing they are being looked after not just as individuals but medically as well. The facilities are first class. Thank you KYN.

I came to Kyn for respite after being in the hospital, this really is very homely and you're made to feel it. The staff cannot do enough for you. Every room is decorated exceptionally well and very comfortable. I would recommend Kyn to anyone. The food is first class offering anything you require.
I would recommend Kyn to anyone.

I chose KYN BICKLEY for a short stay, while I was recovering from coronary bypass surgery. The Kyn is an outstanding care home in every single way. All staff could not be more professional, caring, welcoming, and helpful. The home is more of a luxury resort for the elderly than it is a care home,
starting with the tastefully furnished and decorated rooms, to the facilities, including restaurant, spa, hair salon, cinema room and library. The food is outstanding 'restaurant quality' fare. The chef has designed a healthy menu which is varied, changes daily and caters for most tastes including vegetarians. I could not recommend the Kyn more highly to anyone looking for a very comfortable, safe and caring environment for loved ones in the twilight of their years. I wish the Kyn every success in expanding its portfolio of properties in a much-needed space, which has until recently, been very poorly supplied. Many thanks to all for making my stay a very comfortable and enjoyable one.

My overall experience was good. One of the things I downgraded was the food. I have a dairy intolerance and I don't think I was catered for adequately having little choice of food. I think the food could have been easier to eat, for example, Shepherd's pie. I had very little choice, just promises
of food to come and seeing I had paid the same fees as those eating all the food available. this could have been improved. The activities too could have been inviting. Not much take up! Perhaps a large jigsaw could be put out for people to come and try. Is it not allowed because of covid?

I moved my friend who has Dementia from an inadequate care home to Kyn Bickley last October because his needs were not being met and his mental health was deteriorating rapidly. When he left this care home he was under 24-hour care and was being sedated for his aggression. Within 3 weeks of arriving
at Kyn Bickley, he no longer needed to be on 24 hour care or sedated. I give total credit to all at Kyn Bickley for his transformation. Because of their highly qualified staff, including an Admiral Nurse, I have witnessed him become a different person. He is so happy and content because his needs are all being met. I genuinely believe his life expectancy has increased significantly by being in an environment that is caring, and supportive and where he is understood. I highly recommend Kyn Bickley to anyone who wants to be reassured that their loved ones will get the best care possible.
30 January 2024
After 4 weeks in hospital, following a fall at home, my mother arrived at Kyn Bickley in a lot of pain and needing assistance with all personal care.
8 weeks later my mother returned home walking independently with a frame. Her recovery was greatly assisted by the very attentive and encouraging
care staff, physio and nurse input and availability of all necessary equipment eg. a wheelchair, pressure mattress, bathroom equipment etc.
As my mother's condition improved, she was encouraged to participate in a wide range of organised activities and these and the weekly hair and nail appointments definitely boosted her morale.
Visiting family and friends was made to feel very welcome and being able to eat together in the beautiful, hotel-standard restaurant was definitely an added bonus.
Kyn Bickley is a very new home and the management was constantly seeking feedback from my mother and us which showed a willingness to provide the best care possible.

This nursing home is a stand-out star in the increasingly important sector. I doubt there is an equal in the region. What distinguishes it is the quality of individual care, the brilliant array of patient medical, nursing and emotional support, the attention to every aspect of care and the five-star
facilities and changing activities programme. It feels like a five-star hotel for residents.
Each aspect of patient care has been thought out in depth. I urge those seeking nursing care to visit and meet the staff and see for themselves.
03 January 2024
My mother was made very welcome and although it was a big upheaval for her to move into care she has settled in very well. She is a very talkative lady of 101 years old but the staff are always ready to engage in conversation with her. I travel to visit her and I think that it is marvellous that I
can sit in the dining room with her and have lunch. Also coffee is always available.
The home is brand new and scrupulously clean and the whole ambience is very friendly and welcoming.

Giving up one's home is an extremely difficult process and KYN Bickley has been amazing in helping us through this difficult process. I have been guided step by step by this amazing team. Despite finding it difficult to give up her home my mother feels safe in the knowledge that this excellent team
is on hand when needed so my mum who is 101 can still have that element of autonomy and dignity. What a place! Without exception her visitors tell me how lovely KYN Bickley is, the relaxed atmosphere and my mum and I have something to talk about every day from the phone in her room. If we are not talking about the delicious food, the fact that family and friends can stop by at any time and even enjoy a three-course meal with her in such a lovely dining room is the icing on the cake. My son who visits nursing homes on a regular basis says he has never seen anything like it and it is like a six-star hotel but above all it is the team behind it that makes this place so special.

I visited and ate with my mother-in-law on numerous occasions whilst she was recuperating at Kyn Bickley. Everyone interacted with her superbly, showing real warmth, efficiency and humour. The food was quite outstanding; beautifully presented, excellent size portions and absolutely delicious. The
beautiful surroundings definitely seemed to assist her recovery.

carefully planned. The dining room and food is well thought through, with an excellent choice and selection. The service during meal times is impeccable and gives you the feeling you are dining in a five star hotel. The care that has been given to my parents is outstanding, the kindness and professionalism is amazing. All the staff are dedicated to their residents ensuring the time they spend at KYN is perfect and flawless. I want to thank everyone at KYN from the bottom of my heart, you are all so dedicated in providing continuous, outstanding care to your residents .

Outstanding care home with lovely staff, amazing programme of events/entertainment, excellent food and beautiful rooms/gardens. My mother (87) stayed for four weeks following a knee replacement operation and thoroughly enjoyed her stay. The staff were all lovely. The physiotherapist and the nursing
staff kept a close eye on my mother's progress and encouraged her in her recovery and at her hospital check up everyone was amazed at her progress and felt this was definitely helped along by the staff at Kyn Bickley. Family and friends were able to visit and we also had a very lovely Sunday lunch there with her in the restaurant. An extensive range of activities is available including a cinema, pianists and singers, visits from therapy dogs, gardening, current affairs and flower arranging. When the time comes for my mother to need support she will absolutely choose Kyn Bickley where she is confident that she will receive the best available care.
