I discovered KYN last summer whilst looking for respite care, and what was supposed to be a s short break turned into extended stay. It is not just a care home.it really is a home away from home.
The care team took their time to get to know my Mum, her character and allowed her to do tasks as if she
was in her own home. They treated her with respect, and as a person - which I truly appreciate. The dementia support has been exemplary. And there is always help to hand whenever needed. Whenever I would visit, the staff would always update me on how she was doing and what she had been up to. Her room was always clean and tidy which had a great view overlooking the magnificent garden, and the atmosphere always calm and peaceful.
I am so grateful to KYN for the dedication, care, kindness and love they showed my mother, and how they have supported me. They have genuinely become part of our family and I am forever grateful to them for everything they have done for us.

I couldn't be more grateful for the wonderful welcome and care my mum has received since moving to KYN Bickley a couple of months ago. All the rooms are decorated to a high standard and the atmosphere suggests a hotel rather than a care home. The staff are always friendly, professional and engage with
residents and visitors positively.
There are wide ranging activities for residents if they wish to take part and delicious meals tailored to their preferences. My mum was given space to adjust to her new and very different living arrangements in her own time and is now joining in with many of the opportunities available at KYN Bickley.
Having been concerned for my mum's safety for a while, knowing that she is in a safe, caring environment has put me at ease. From my experience, residents are always treated with dignity, patience and warmth and staff take great strides to make every resident feel at home. I would like to thank all the staff for their incredible care and dedication.

What can I say about KYN Bickley?
From the moment I walk through its doors, I am warmly greeted by the concierge team and engulfed in the building's friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
It sets the gold standard of what a care home should be - from top to bottom:
From the energising and transparent
presence of the home manager, the dedication of the care staff, the enthusiasm of the activity coordinators, the attentiveness of the servers in the dining room to the tireless efforts of the cleaning staff - it is a joyous atmosphere to be in!
I never fail to be amazed - every day when I visit my mother - by the level of service and care provided by every one of its members of staff.
Nothing but excellence will do.
As a tangible example, my mother's chronic constipation has been remedied by the carefully considered ingredients that go into the food and the menu is meticulously devised to feed not only the body but also the mind.
KYN Bickley isn't just a "care home", it's a philosophy.

I think if I had designed the perfect place for Mum it still wouldn't have met the standards of KYN Bickley. Choosing somewhere to take care of a loved one is an incredibly difficult process, with so many nuances and details to take into consideration - starting from the most important, the level of
care, down to the decor. Our Mum had a condition that required specialised care, and a real trepidation about moving into a nursing home, so we knew we had to find somewhere perfect - but from the beginning we felt we not only would she receive the care she needed, but it would be somewhere she'd be happy and would feel at home.
I'd like to give a special mention to the customer engagement manager and the home administrator. Honestly, can't thank you both enough - your warmth, humanity, and compassion made what was a really difficult time so much more bearable. We'll be eternally grateful for that. Also the knowledgeable and compassionate three of her care staff in particular took such great care of her too. Thank you all so much!

I cannot thank KYN enough for the care they gave Mum at the end of her life. Mum had motor neurone disease which is complex to manage and many nursing homes do not have the specialist knowledge to deal with it. With KYN, from the first meeting I felt confident they understood Mum's condition and could
offer her the care she needed. My confidence was not misplaced. When Mum moved in she was looked after very well by her nurses who were not only very knowledgeable but showed great compassion and care towards my mum, skills which in my experience cannot be taught. They always went above and beyond to care for her, including one of the nurses going to pick up Mum's prescription and updating me on her day off. Added to this, the home itself is beautiful, not like a care home at all but more like a 5-star hotel. It has great facilities and families are made to feel welcome. Sadly Mum has now passed away but I will be forever grateful that I found this place for Mum.

Parents have been at KYN Bickley for about 8 weeks. They are very happy and much more relaxed. They have far less anxiety about day to day issues you have at home. The most important aspect is 'do the staff care', and they absolutely do. The staff and level of care are excellent. From our family point
of view, we are so much more relaxed knowing they are being looked after not just as individuals but medically as well. The facilities are first class. Thank you KYN.

I came to Kyn for respite after being in the hospital, this really is very homely and you're made to feel it. The staff cannot do enough for you. Every room is decorated exceptionally well and very comfortable. I would recommend Kyn to anyone. The food is first class offering anything you require.

I chose KYN BICKLEY for a short stay, while I was recovering from coronary bypass surgery. The Kyn is an outstanding care home in every single way. All staff could not be more professional, caring, welcoming, and helpful. The home is more of a luxury resort for the elderly than it is a care home, starting
with the tastefully furnished and decorated rooms, to the facilities, including restaurant, spa, hair salon, cinema room and library. The food is outstanding 'restaurant quality' fare. The chef has designed a healthy menu which is varied, changes daily and caters for most tastes including vegetarians. I could not recommend the Kyn more highly to anyone looking for a very comfortable, safe and caring environment for loved ones in the twilight of their years. I wish the Kyn every success in expanding its portfolio of properties in a much-needed space, which has until recently, been very poorly supplied. Many thanks to all for making my stay a very comfortable and enjoyable one.

My overall experience was good. One of the things I downgraded was the food. I have a dairy intolerance and I don't think I was catered for adequately having little choice of food. I think the food could have been easier to eat, for example, Shepherd's pie. I had very little choice, just promises of
food to come and seeing I had paid the same fees as those eating all the food available. this could have been improved. The activities too could have been inviting. Not much take up! Perhaps a large jigsaw could be put out for people to come and try. Is it not allowed because of covid?

I moved my friend who has Dementia from an inadequate care home to Kyn Bickley last October because his needs were not being met and his mental health was deteriorating rapidly. When he left this care home he was under 24-hour care and was being sedated for his aggression. Within 3 weeks of arriving
at Kyn Bickley, he no longer needed to be on 24 hour care or sedated. I give total credit to all at Kyn Bickley for his transformation. Because of their highly qualified staff, including an Admiral Nurse, I have witnessed him become a different person. He is so happy and content because his needs are all being met. I genuinely believe his life expectancy has increased significantly by being in an environment that is caring, and supportive and where he is understood. I highly recommend Kyn Bickley to anyone who wants to be reassured that their loved ones will get the best care possible.

After 4 weeks in hospital, following a fall at home, my mother arrived at Kyn Bickley in a lot of pain and needing assistance with all personal care.
8 weeks later my mother returned home walking independently with a frame. Her recovery was greatly assisted by the very attentive and encouraging care
staff, physio and nurse input and availability of all necessary equipment eg. a wheelchair, pressure mattress, bathroom equipment etc.
As my mother's condition improved, she was encouraged to participate in a wide range of organised activities and these and the weekly hair and nail appointments definitely boosted her morale.
Visiting family and friends was made to feel very welcome and being able to eat together in the beautiful, hotel-standard restaurant was definitely an added bonus.
Kyn Bickley is a very new home and the management was constantly seeking feedback from my mother and us which showed a willingness to provide the best care possible.

This nursing home is a stand-out star in the increasingly important sector. I doubt there is an equal in the region. What distinguishes it is the quality of individual care, the brilliant array of patient medical, nursing and emotional support, the attention to every aspect of care and the five-star
facilities and changing activities programme. It feels like a five-star hotel for residents.

My mother was made very welcome and although it was a big upheaval for her to move into care she has settled in very well. She is a very talkative lady of 101 years old but the staff are always ready to engage in conversation with her. I travel to visit her and I think that it is marvellous that I can
sit in the dining room with her and have lunch. Also coffee is always available.
The home is brand new and scrupulously clean and the whole ambience is very friendly and welcoming.

Giving up one's home is an extremely difficult process and KYN Bickley has been amazing in helping us through this difficult process. I have been guided step by step by this amazing team. Despite finding it difficult to give up her home my mother feels safe in the knowledge that this excellent team
is on hand when needed so my mum who is 101 can still have that element of autonomy and dignity. What a place! Without exception her visitors tell me how lovely KYN Bickley is, the relaxed atmosphere and my mum and I have something to talk about every day from the phone in her room. If we are not talking about the delicious food, the fact that family and friends can stop by at any time and even enjoy a three-course meal with her in such a lovely dining room is the icing on the cake. My son who visits nursing homes on a regular basis says he has never seen anything like it and it is like a six-star hotel but above all it is the team behind it that makes this place so special.

I visited and ate with my mother-in-law on numerous occasions whilst she was recuperating at Kyn Bickley. Everyone interacted with her superbly, showing real warmth, efficiency and humour. The food was quite outstanding; beautifully presented, excellent size portions and absolutely delicious. The beautiful

My parents have been in respite now for nine weeks at KYN Bickley. My parents have thrived during this time and their wellbeing has improved by 100%. The environment and décor is outstanding, the facilities are amazing, i.e. the nail, hair salon, and the incredible daily activities which are carefully
planned. The dining room and food is well thought through, with an excellent choice and selection. The service during meal times is impeccable and gives you the feeling you are dining in a five star hotel. The care that has been given to my parents is outstanding, the kindness and professionalism is amazing. All the staff are dedicated to their residents ensuring the time they spend at KYN is perfect and flawless. Outstanding care home with lovely staff, amazing programme of events/entertainment, excellent food and beautiful rooms/gardens. My mother (87) stayed for four weeks following a knee replacement operation and thoroughly enjoyed her stay. The staff were all lovely. The physiotherapist and the nursing
staff kept a close eye on my mother's progress and encouraged her in her recovery and at her hospital check up everyone was amazed at her progress and felt this was definitely helped along by the staff at Kyn Bickley. Family and friends were able to visit and we also had a very lovely Sunday lunch there with her in the restaurant. An extensive range of activities is available including a cinema, pianists and singers, visits from therapy dogs, gardening, current affairs and flower arranging. When the time comes for my mother to need support she will absolutely choose Kyn Bickley where she is confident that she will receive the best available care.

My mother has just spent 8 weeks in KYN, recuperating after a serious and painful fracture of her arm.
Having a beautiful building with 5 star fittings and fixtures is one thing, but having an entire team dedicated to providing a level of warmth, care, efficiency and professionalism to match that very
relaxed 5 star feel is extraordinary.
The concierges, carers, nursing staff, housekeepers, restaurant team, chefs and management all without exception contributed to my mother feeling cosseted, special, happy and settled.
The food was absolutely outstanding, both in its use of top quality ingredients and in the way they were prepared. Portion sizes were perfect, leaving Mum satisfied, but not overly full. Producing fabulous dishes that can still be simple, yet show off the expertise of the kitchen takes great skill.
KYN is more expensive than the average priced care home. But, watching my mother flourish in that environment was totally priceless.

I am delighted with the standard of care and attention Mum receives from all staff at Kyn. She had become quite isolated and lonely whilst receiving care in her own home. However, since moving to Kyn she has found a new lease of life; she is now enjoying her time with new friends, joining in many and
varied activities and having lots of fun. It is wonderful to see her happy and laughing again. Everyone from staff to residents has helped her settle quickly. The staff are constantly assessing her needs and adapting her care as necessary. She is receiving the best care in a nurturing, relaxed and fun environment.
