We've been really impressed by the quality and breadth of the life enrichment programme and also the facilities.
As much as possible, this feels like a home away from home with a team that really care.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such kind words about your experience at KYN.
We are truly delighted to hear that the transition from hospital to KYN was a positive one for your father and your family. Moving into a new environment can be a significant change, and we are...
My parents settled into KYN quickly, helped by the excellent team. All the Management and staff have been excellent, friendly and professional at all times.
My parents enjoy the facilities, care and food as do we when we visit.
We are happy knowing they are well cared for and safe at KYN.
We're delighted that both your Mum and Dad have settled in so happily and are enjoying life with us at KYN. It's wonderful to know that our team, care, and setting have made such a positive difference for you all.

Key thing the staff have been so good with Mum, she has been difficult at times, but they are so caring and empathetic.
I cannot recommend the home more, they communicate regularly when there are concerns, are always available
Activities at home are varied and appeal to lots of tastes
We're delighted to hear that our team's care and empathy have supported your Mum so well as she settles into life at KYN. She is a wonderful resident, and we genuinely cherish having...
The exceptional management went above and beyond to help a difficult transition from another care home in a few days for my elderly friend. They pulled out all the stops over the weekend too. I am impressed by their professionalism, knowledge and compassion. They supported me all the way to navigate roadblocks put in my way but the former home. Thank you. Today I enjoyed some of the professional entertainment provided for the residents. It was excellent. Staff are courteous and helpful. My friend's room is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. She has only been there for two days but what a contrast to where she was. You might find yourself paying half as much again but for a 10 times better service. Thank you to Suzanne, Emma, Charles, Daisy and Rosario amongst others. You are top class
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your experience. It was our absolute pleasure to support both you and your friend during her transition to our home. We understand how stressful and emotional such a move can be, particularly when faced with...
Mum stayed at KYN for respite after an operation. The quality of care and the quality of food is outstanding. Mum made a brilliant recovery due to this and was very happy and comfortable during her stay. The staff are always attentive and make you feel welcome to be there. There are many activities to take part take in if you so wish all of which add to wellbeing and daily enjoyment. She could not find fault in standards at KYN and would definitely stay again if needed.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for taking the time to share your mother's experience with us.
We are truly delighted to hear that your mum felt happy, comfortable, and so well supported during her respite stay following her operation. It is especially rewarding to...
Kyn Bickley exists as much for friends and family as it does for the residents. I had to find a home for a friend (now deceased) whose house sale was complicated, but Kyn Bickley was happy to accommodate her. In the ensuing seven months, my friend's care was not compromised in any way, nor was there pressure about outstanding rent. This trust in me at a stressful time, and the kind treatment we received meant more than I can adequately express. On my visits with my friend (who could be difficult and demanding) I found Kyn Bickley's beautiful décor and surroundings calming and restful. I could always find a quiet corner to 'recoup' with a cup of coffee. My friend's bedroom was always replete with evidence of crafts and activities in which she had participated, often with more enjoyment than to which she would admit. But what mattered the most was that staff, nurses and carers made supreme efforts to understand her as she was. I knew she was loved, and so did she! Thank you Kyn Bickley.
Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We are truly grateful that you trusted us with your friend's care during what must have been a very stressful and emotional time. It means a great deal to know that both you and your friend felt supported and that she was cared for...
But the more I visit, the more I see how warm, professional and dedicated the team that are looking after her are on a daily basis.
For her part she is obviously extremely happy with her accommodation, her facilities and her care.
She loves going to the restaurant for her meals and attends a lot of the excercise class activities, as well as enjoying the varied entertainment by the many artists that attend regularly.
Thank you so much for your kind review, from all the team. We see the value provided by our Life Enrichment programme every day through our residents enhanced wellbeing, and the social aspects offered through the dining with friends in The Great Room, which is the heart of our home. It is so...
My Mother in Law has been at KYN since October 2023, we have seen the home grow into beautiful care home. I emphasise the word care home, as its truly a beautiful place filled with people who make it feel like a home. My mother in law has a friend who has a room next door to her and they are like best friends who have known one another for years. Although they both have dementia they know one another and have a friendship both families are grateful for. We spent many years deciding about a home and when KYN opened to this day we have no regrets, her care is amazing and they sense when something is wrong and always act so quickly so no issues escalate. We all as a family are delighted with KYN and would be delighted to recommend it to anyone. Thank you all so much xxx
It's wonderful to know that your mother-in-law has developed such a flourishing friendship with her neighbour. Creating meaningful connections and a...
My aunt moved into Kyn Bickley about a year ago. I live abroad, and she has no family in the UK. We were very impressed by Kyn, it is as stunning in real life as it is in the photos. But we were worried as she moved in - would it feel like home? Would they actually care about her? Would she meet people and form friendships? The answer was a resounding yes. She was busy socialising from day one. The medical and nursing care has been excellent. Now she is a bit more bed based, but still very comfortable and happy. We are very happy.
Thank you very much for sharing this thoughtful review. It means a great deal to our entire team. We understand how important it is to feel confident when a loved one moves into a new home, especially when family members live abroad, so we are truly delighted to hear how well your aunt has settled...
She absolutely loves living there and has blossomed since moving in permanently in the middle of June.
Fortunately she is able to take advantage of the many facilities and activities available.
There are excellent "exercise" classes, first class singers for entertainment and many other interesting bits and pieces.
The restaurant is a lovely room and it's very conducive to enjoying excellent meals.
Staff are quite superb, showing great warmth and empathy towards the residents.
The fees at KYN are quite high, but in my view they are value for money. Seeing my Mother so well looked after in an extremely luxurious environment is pretty priceless.
I don't think I could leave her in better, safer hands.
It means a great deal to our entire team to know that...
My 91 year old Mum has been at KYN for 1.5 years now, she moved into care because, living with her dementia, she was finding it difficult to cope mentally and physically in her home environment. Although reluctant at first, with the support and kindness from the KYN staff, she has settled well and enjoying spending time with her new friends and taking part in all the activities and entertainment on offer. She also regularly sees family and friends and is able to go out for adventures whenever the opportunity comes up. My 93 year old Dad, who has multiple health challenges, has also now moved into KYN, the nursing staff have been amazing and his conditions have stabilised with their care and medical support. Both Mum and Dad love the staff, everyone in the team at KYN is respectful, patient and kind. They also know how to communicate in a gentle and fun way so my parents feel supported with dignity!
We're particularly glad to hear that your Mum has found kindred spirits, and...
The care team took their time to get to know my Mum, her character and allowed her to do tasks as if she was in her own home. They treated her with respect, and as a person - which I truly appreciate. The dementia support has been exemplary. And there is always help to hand whenever needed. Whenever I would visit, the staff would always update me on how she was doing and what she had been up to. Her room was always clean and tidy which had a great view overlooking the magnificent garden, and the atmosphere always calm and peaceful.
I am so grateful to KYN for the dedication, care, kindness and love they showed my mother, and how they have supported me. They have genuinely become part of our family and I am forever grateful to them for everything they have done for us.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt message. It truly moved us, and we are so pleased to hear that your experience with KYN has been such a meaningful one for both your mother and your family. Knowing that what began as a short respite stay became something more lasting means a great deal to us....
There are wide ranging activities for residents if they wish to take part and delicious meals tailored to their preferences. My mum was given space to adjust to her new and very different living arrangements in her own time and is now joining in with many of the opportunities available at KYN Bickley.
Having been concerned for my mum's safety for a while, knowing that she is in a safe, caring environment has put me at ease. From my experience, residents are always treated with dignity, patience and warmth and staff take great strides to make every resident feel at home. I would like to thank all the staff for their incredible care and dedication.
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience at KYN Bickley. We're always delighted to hear when new residents settle in smoothly and, most importantly, feel cared for and happy. We understand that moving into a care home can be an emotional time-not just for residents, who may...
From the moment I walk through its doors, I am warmly greeted by the concierge team and engulfed in the building's friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
It sets the gold standard of what a care home should be - from top to bottom:
From the energising and transparent presence of the home manager, the dedication of the care staff, the enthusiasm of the activity coordinators, the attentiveness of the servers in the dining room to the tireless efforts of the cleaning staff - it is a joyous atmosphere to be in!
I never fail to be amazed - every day when I visit my mother - by the level of service and care provided by every one of its members of staff.
Nothing but excellence will do.
As a tangible example, my mother's chronic constipation has been remedied by the carefully considered ingredients that go into the food and the menu is meticulously devised to feed not only the body but also the mind.
KYN Bickley isn't just a "care home", it's a philosophy.
I was so glad to read about your positive experience and the impact you feel living at KYN Bickley has had for your mother. You touch on so many of the things we consider essential at KYN and for all care homes and it was heart-warming for me to read in your words your recognition for our great team. Thank you. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
I'd like to give a special mention to the customer engagement manager and the home administrator. Honestly, can't thank you both enough - your warmth, humanity, and compassion made what was a really difficult time so much more bearable. We'll be eternally grateful for that. Also the knowledgeable and compassionate three of her care staff in particular took such great care of her too. Thank you all so much!
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience with KYN Bickley. We are thrilled to hear our team delivered the specialised care that Mum required and also made her feel happy and at home. Our team is committed to providing the best care possible and your feedback inspires us to continue to do what we love.
I cannot thank KYN enough for the care they gave Mum at the end of her life. Mum had motor neurone disease which is complex to manage and many nursing homes do not have the specialist knowledge to deal with it. With KYN, from the first meeting I felt confident they understood Mum's condition and could offer her the care she needed. My confidence was not misplaced. When Mum moved in she was looked after very well by her nurses who were not only very knowledgeable but showed great compassion and care towards my mum, skills which in my experience cannot be taught. They always went above and beyond to care for her, including one of the nurses going to pick up Mum's prescription and updating me on her day off. Added to this, the home itself is beautiful, not like a care home at all but more like a 5-star hotel. It has great facilities and families are made to feel welcome. Sadly Mum has now passed away but I will be forever grateful that I found this place for Mum.
Dear Lisa, Thank you so much for your kind feedback. It means a great deal to our team to know that we made a difference to you and your Mum at such a difficult time. We strive to provide compassionate and high-quality care, and your description of your experience goes to the very heart of why we...
Parents have been at KYN Bickley for about 8 weeks. They are very happy and much more relaxed. They have far less anxiety about day to day issues you have at home. The most important aspect is 'do the staff care', and they absolutely do. The staff and level of care are excellent. From our family point of view, we are so much more relaxed knowing they are being looked after not just as individuals but medically as well. The facilities are first class. Thank you KYN.
I would recommend Kyn to anyone.
I chose KYN BICKLEY for a short stay, while I was recovering from coronary bypass surgery. The Kyn is an outstanding care home in every single way. All staff could not be more professional, caring, welcoming, and helpful. The home is more of a luxury resort for the elderly than it is a care home, starting with the tastefully furnished and decorated rooms, to the facilities, including restaurant, spa, hair salon, cinema room and library. The food is outstanding 'restaurant quality' fare. The chef has designed a healthy menu which is varied, changes daily and caters for most tastes including vegetarians. I could not recommend the Kyn more highly to anyone looking for a very comfortable, safe and caring environment for loved ones in the twilight of their years. I wish the Kyn every success in expanding its portfolio of properties in a much-needed space, which has until recently, been very poorly supplied. Many thanks to all for making my stay a very comfortable and enjoyable one.
Thank you for sharing your experience of KYN Bickley. I am thrilled to hear that you had a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us while recovering from your surgery. Our team takes great pride in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, and we are glad that we could meet your...
My overall experience was good. One of the things I downgraded was the food. I have a dairy intolerance and I don't think I was catered for adequately having little choice of food. I think the food could have been easier to eat, for example, Shepherd's pie. I had very little choice, just promises of food to come and seeing I had paid the same fees as those eating all the food available. this could have been improved. The activities too could have been inviting. Not much take up! Perhaps a large jigsaw could be put out for people to come and try. Is it not allowed because of covid?
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding your recent stay. I'm sorry to hear you felt our dietary options were limited. Our chefs are committed to catering to dietary requirements and requests and regularly seek feedback from our residents to ensure we meet and exceed...
