KYN is like leaving a loved one with family, every resident is kind and caring, and they all look after one another. Everyone working at KYN looks after the residents as their own family. When there's a singing activity everyone joins in, from the carers, hospitality and the management. The joy it brings
to my mother-in-law is wonderful. Her joy at hearing old songs and getting up to dance is so heartwarming. Nothing is too much for everyone, if you don't want to get up at 9 they let you get ready at your own pace, with gentle persuasion and lots of cups of tea! Birthdays and anniversaries are celebrated with everyone! The activities are all arranged so everyone can join in irrespective of their abilities. The lovely lady brings joy to everyone in her salon.
We are delighted with everything at KYN, we cannot recommend it more highly.

I really benefited from my stay at Kyn Bickley, the four weeks enabled me to start my recovery from major surgery. The majority of staff are dedicated, caring and hardworking individuals, from the nurses, carers, concierge, several managers, the chef, staff in the beautiful dining room and the lovely
therapist etc. All made me feel so welcome and cared for, there wasn't anything that was too much trouble. The whole experience was excellent and will be a happy memory for me. I wish the Kyn team every success for the future.

As I had no one to care for me at home, I needed somewhere to stay after hip replacement surgery. I visited the care home and was impressed by its overall appearance and the services on offer. I was lucky enough to get a choice of en-suite rooms and chose one with direct garden access. Personal care
was available which I needed for a few days. Three meals a day are offered to be taken either in your room or the silver service restaurant, I did a mixture of service. The 3-course meals are excellent with a meat, fish or vegetarian main course. Kyn allows you to have guests for lunch or dinner at a reasonable extra payment. Also on offer are a monthly physio appointment and weekly hair and spa treatments. All levels of staff from carers, nurses, hospitality and admin are especially kind, polite and caring. If you want something, ask for it and it is usually provided. I stayed for 3 weeks and would honestly go there again if I needed to. Well done.

My brother's diagnosis requires full time care, so we needed to move him from his former assisted living home. I was fortunate to be recommended to Kyn Bickley and have been totally happy and confident in the care they are giving. I live outside the area, so having a team that will respond immediately
to my questions and give me full peace of mind regarding my brother's care is invaluable. Everyone works as a team, irrespective of their defined role. This is important for the total well-being of their guests. The day to day nursing and care is superb, giving me updates daily if necessary. Highly recommend this facility.

From my point of view - all communications with Kyn Bickley were excellent. The staff were courteous and efficient. My husband suffers with depression and anxiety, but he settled very quickly and enjoyed his time at Kyn Bickley - especially the cheese and wine party and concert. We hope to use Kyn Bickley

I stayed at Kyn Bickley for two weeks convalescence; it was a lovely home. Everything was of the highest standard. My only observation was that although the food was imaginative, delicious and beautifully presented, occasionally us older people just like something simple and more like home than a five
star restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience, nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The slightly lower score for care/support reflects the fact that we had to chase treatments that had been promised, i.e. wound dressing and physio post-op.
On the food front, absolutely excellent and comparable to a five star hotel. However, if staying any length of time we would imagine that a resident
might want to feel more 'at home' and that perhaps more 'homely' food (i.e. shepherds pie, liver and bacon etc. would be a welcome change). These could probably be requested, but might perhaps be worth putting this sort of choice on the daily menu now and then?
Activities and facilities were excellent and we are only sorry that our mother chose not to participate. Kyn has only been running for about seven months and it’s a great addition to the choice of care homes in the area. We are sure it is going to be very successful.

My daughter and I are delighted with the care KYN has given to my wife. All the staff are very friendly and patient. They have managed to persuade her to allow them to get her washed, to clean her teeth and to change her clothes. She gives every sign of being very happy here.

After four weeks in a hospital bed, I arrived at KYN in a sorry state. Unable to perform basic bodily functions without help. All the staff were kind, supportive and caring and were my friends. The food was tempting, meals were presented and encouraged me to eat. Activities helped me to get to know
people and socialise. The lovely garden provided a fresh open space for gentle exercise. Decoration throughout is amazing, providing restful rooms. KYN has restored my well-being and has my eternal thanks.

Having suffered poor care for my mother at a previous care home, I made the decision to relocate her to KYN Bickley.
This was definitely the best decision we could have made. The care home itself is like a luxury London hotel but with a homely feel. The service from every member of staff has been
exceptional - nothing is too much to ask for.
My mother is unable to speak due to her stroke, but the carers in a short space of time have learnt what she likes, doesn’t like and what she may be asking for. She truly now gets personalised care and is enjoying her life again.

My mother has been a resident of Kyn Bickley for the last month or so. Ever since her arrival she has been looked after with the best of care by the nursing/care team. They have been very attentive and proactive in dealing with my mothers medical needs. She could not be in better, or kinder, hands.
As someone who has always enjoyed her food, my mother has been most impressed with the quality of the cooking at Kyn. Mealtimes are a real highlight of her day.
The accommodation and gardens of the home are simply the best we have ever encountered and they are a source of great comfort to my mother.
Dealing with the management team at what has been a very difficult time for my mother and our family has always been very professional and efficient. They are a pleasure to deal with.
We wish Kyn every success.

My husband and I are so delighted with KYN BICKLEY. You read such horror stories about care homes in the newspapers but you don't have to worry here!
When you are tasked with the enormous responsibility of finding your beloved relative, expert help and care, it is a steep learning curve and worry.
However, I can honestly say that the team at KYN have supported both my mother-in-law and us extremely well.
She started as respite care in March after a fall, but at her wonderful birthday tea, which KYN put on, especially for her, she announced to us that she wanted to stay at KYN as a resident.
She appreciates the wonderful food and activities each day and the care and compassion she is shown by all the staff. Now, when I go to sleep at night, I know she is being well looked after, in this kind and beautiful place. I wish I could live here!

My mother is the second resident at KYN and although she has only been there a short while the care, love and attention she has received as been wonderful.
We chose KYN because of its amazing caring ethos and holistic and individual approach to residents and not making them fit into 'a label' and so
far it has not disappointed.
I can not praise the management team enough for their support and desire to get things right for Mum. After coming from another home where this, unfortunately, was not the case, it is truly comforting to experience this and gives me confidence for the future.
The carers are kind and patient and are learning Mum's ways so that she can feel at home as quickly as possible, giving her attention when needed and helping her feel safe.
It is lovely to see how all areas of staff from catering, hospitality, activities and household are so passionate in their work and have a desire to get to know the residents individually.

KYN where do I start - from the moment you walk in the door, you are met by professional and helpful members of a fantastic group of staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The lovely staff member introduced us to KYN in mid-December and explained in great detail and so professionally with passion all the
reasons why our mother should make KYN her home. Our Mum was the first resident, so has been treated like a queen. It is a five-star hotel with care. The care is wonderful, and when two members of staff visited Mum before her admission, we knew that our worries were over; they flag up any concerns immediately. The care team are an excellent set of girls who are so polite, caring and professional and are a credit to team KYN. The food is absolutely delicious, and Mum loves it! Thank you, chef and team.
